My Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Rhea Ripley Challenges Shayna Baszler, Chris Jericho Celebration.

WWE Photo
The black and gold brand and it's competitor (AEW Dynamite) were both okay. Not terrible and had a few highlights but overall, the shows were just fine.

NXT

Highlights.

Keith Lee And Dominic Djakovic vs The Undisputed Era In Kyle O'Reilly And Bobby Fish.

WWE Photo
Fish suffered an injury during this tag team bout so instead Roderick Strong, the team player he is, replaced Fish's role in this match. Djakovic at one point delivered a suplex to Keith Lee on to the rest of Undisputed Era.

O'Reilly's submission was countered by Dominic with a powerbomb while hitting a chokeslam to Strong at the same time. Djakovic with a beat-up leg, delivered a 450 on to Strong and O'Reilly outside the ring.

Cole was about to interject himself but Lee quickly threw him onto the crowd area meanwhile,  Strong and O'Reilly hits the high-low to Dominic Djakovic and the champions are still champions. A very good match. That throw from Lee to Cole was just…. Wow.

Candice LeRae vs Dakota Kai.

WWE Photo
A hard-hitting match, LeRae tried to hit a German suplex but instead, she hit herself on the apron along with Kai. Candice was about to get rid of Kai with the Gargano escape but Kai used the knee brace and hits her head.

She was about to use a chair to inflict further damage on LeRae but Rhea Ripley made the save by kicking on the chair. That theme song from Kai while it fits, it is not my cup of coke zero.

Rhea Ripley Challenges Shayna Baszler For The Women's Championship.

WWE Photo
Xia Li won her match with Vanessa Bourne with a kick and then, Shayna and the gang got rid of her and basically brought up Baszler's victory at Survivor Series. Rhea Ripley came to challenge her for the NXT women's championship.

Noice. Will Shayna's reign finally end? Probably given that Ripley I feel is the only woman in that women's division that can beat Baszler and become champion.

Some Other Things That Happened.

Undisputed Era Interrupts An NXT Concert - The reason? Well, they feel that they're the reason why NXT was victorious at the 2019 edition of Survivor Series.

Ciampa told the leader of Undisputed Era that he's coming for his title to which Balor came out and Ciampa said: "prince, you just met your king".

Mansoor vs Shane Throne - Mansoor wins here with a springboard neckbreaker. Hopefully, we get to see more of Mansoor on TV.

Lio Rush vs Akira Tozawa For The NXT Cruiserweight Championship - You thought there was an actual brand split? Pffft.

Also, I don't get why Tozawa got a championship match given that he just lost clean as a whistle to Andrade earlier this week on RAW. But, the match was decent. Rush retains with two frog splashes.

Finn Balor vs Tommaso Ciampa - Thanks to Adam Cole, Balor hits the 1916 and won
Cole touched the prince and Balor kicked Cole's head off. The match was okay.

AEW

Highlights.

Chris Jericho's Thanksgiving Celebration.

This segment was great. Jericho was having fun with his inner circle members along with soul train jones aka Virgil and even had his father give out New York Rangers t-shirts which got the crowd chanting "Rangers' suck".

Jericho brought up Justin Roberts to read what the exes over at TNT said about Le Champion and after the ring announcer read the letter, inner circle bullied the poor man until SCU disguised as the marching band made the save and got rid of the inner circle.

I really liked the fact that Christopher Daniels locked in the million-dollar dream to Virgil. That was a nice call to Virgil's stint with Ted Dibiase. By the way, Dasha Gonzalez aka Dasha replaced Justin Roberts' place and she was good as a ring announcer.

Kenny Omega vs Pac.

Omega hits a snap dragon suplex on two different occasions. Then, Pac jumps from the top rope on Omega outside the ring with a beautiful moonsault.

Pac plants Kenny with a top rope falcon arrow and unfortunately, Omega outsmarted the bastard by winning the match with the crucifix pin. An enjoyable match. Both guys have excellent chemistry so it's no surprise that they pulled off a good match.

Dustin Rhodes Took Out The Inner Circle With Some Help.

Rhodes was interviewed by Jenn Decker about what Jake Hager did to him and the rest of the Inner circle stomps on Dustin to which the Young Bucks saved the legend and super kicked Guevara, Santana And Ortiz.

I liked the triple kick that Dustin and The Young Bucks did to Sammy Guevara. That was cool.

Chris Jericho vs Scorpio Sky For The AEW World Championship.

WWE Chris Jericho Scorpio Sky AEW Championship AEW Dynamite
Hager got involved in this match but the rest of SCU evened the odds. Sky then dodged Chris Jericho's attack with the championship and Sky hits the TKO and Jericho kicked out.

Scorpio counters Jericho's Judas effect but he didn't counter the lion tamer which means that Le Champion still keeps his prize. Jox Moxley's music hits and Moxley stands there on the crowd area.

Good match and the last time both Moxley and Jericho faced each other, it was not good, to say the least, so I hope the match whenever that happens, doesn't suck.

Some Other Things That Happened.

Best Friends vs Lucha Brothers - Trent pinned Rey Fenix in an upset win with the package driver.

Bea Priestley And Emi Sakura vs Hikaru Shida And Kris Stadtlander - Kris made her AEW at AEW Dark so this is her AEW Dynamite debut (no crap, Omar). Unfortunately, she took the pin from Sakura with a modified roll-up.

Jon Moxley Challenges Anybody to Fight Him - Exactly what it sounds like. Kinda like that guy that hits the black mass on people.

Cody Calls Out MJF - After he won his match against Matt Cross, Cody called out MJF to which the trio of the Blade, The Butcher And The Bunny (Allie) made a statement by attacking Cody. Allie has now embraced the dark side and will she whether she nails that role or not.

Hangman Adam Page vs MJF - Thanks to bad officiating, MJF wins this match and Diamond Dallas Page presents the winner of this match with the diamond ring.

Page wanted to shake his hand but MJF put his chewed chewing gum on Page's hand and Waldow eventually fought with the Hall Of Famer. Meh.

WWE Wrestlemania 26 | A Coherent Review.

I've teased a mystery review on my Facebook page (which you can click here to follow us) and that mystery has now been unveiled. It's Wrestlemania 26. This review was delayed and was supposed to be up last Monday but at least is now up. Also, The first draft of this review was 7 pages long so strap in. By far, the longest review on this very website.  I thought it would be fitting to review a Wrestlemania from a decade back and how do I feel about it? It was a show that if you watched it, you're most likely going to have a good time. It was a mix of great things but terrible things at the same time as most shows.  The 26th edition of Wrestlemania took place in the University of Phoenix Stadium in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, Arizona on March 28th, 2010.  The commentators were Micheal Cole, Jerry Lawler and Matt Striker. Honestly, Striker was pretty good and a far better colour commentator than Lawler was on this show (even today, Lawler is still bleh on commen...

WrestleFest DXB's Fahrenheit 971 | A Coherent W.

Being a fan of pro wrestling (or any other medium of entertainment) does have its pros and cons when engaging with the industry as a whole.  On one hand, you've witnessed an Eddie Kingston promo that'll make you tear up more than the opening scene of Up.  On the other hand, going to the wrestling subreddit will definitely have you questioning humanity as a whole and the fact that living in an area where a wrestling presence pretty much doesn't exist like a Vince Russo-written storyline that is, you know, GOOD!?  Luckily, the latter retracted my con as a fan because I'm talking about Wrestlefest DXB and their latest joint, "971 Fahrenheit".  Martin Bushby of now Post Wrestling Alumni brought the event to my attention because like a wrestler on an episode of RAW I get distracted all the time.  So, I decided to take a short journey to a taxi then a bus then a train then a 30-minute walk to the show itself and I know I'm going to sound biased as f**k but I l...

The 5 News Week: WWE Backstage. Cancelled Or Nah?, Liv Morgan's Re-Debut Was Supposed To Be Different!?

I'm back on my BS because it's The 5 News Week where I report on the 5 major or minor news of the week hence the name "T he 5 News Week".  Sorry for the week of absence. I took a week off of social media (except YouTube) due to the sadness I felt when reading those brave women and men tell their stories about the awful, terrible experiences they've had after their interactions with notable people in the industry.  It made me question my fandom and whether I should be in the industry (wrestling media-wise) knowing that they are asshats that will take an advantage on people for no reason other than more power and control.  This week proves that the business needs to wash all the old tropes that make it harder for people to express what's really going on especially when it pertains  to serious issues like sexual assault, racism, sexism etc.  I'm hoping that those stories will lead to a sudden change in every aspect of this profession and other ...
