My Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: RAW And Smackdown Open Invitational, A Major Announcement From Chris Jericho.

WWE Photo
While NXT was the better show in my opinion (Omar likes something WWE related!? Well, you don't say), AEW had the most intrigued for an upcoming episode if that makes sense?

Here it is, another week of my honest wrestling Wednesdays.

NXT

Highlights.

Becky Lynch Showed Up.

WWE Photo
Oh yes, she did with a standing ovation and The Man said that the people wouldn't wait any longer for her to fight.

Lynch insulted Bayley for not getting rid of the only blue buddy that is holding Bayley back and also called out Shayna and her gang. Out came Rhea Ripley and she asked Lynch if she had a set of balls leading to a match between those two athletes. What a segment.

WWE Photo
The crowd ate that up including me and some watching at home I assume? A fantastic opening segment and also, how good Becky Lynch is as a babyface? While that match ended in a DQ due to Shayna and her gang interfering and given that they both have a big match coming up, I thought it made sense but I could see why some would find that finish lazy or cheap.

Matt Riddle vs Ricochet.

WWE Photo
Supposed to be a Kona Reeves vs Matt Riddle match but Ricochet kicked Reeves onto the ring post leading to the first brand supremacy match of the night.

Riddle won the match with a modified roll up then Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro from Smackdown stormed in and Ricochet layed out Cesaro with a top rope crossbody on the crowd area (that move was fantastic).

WWE Photo

Finn Balor stuck in the ring and fought with Riddle for a bit. That top rope crossbody from Ricochet was a highlight waiting to be put in a video package even though the match was decent.

The Undisputed Era In Kyle O'Reilly And Bobby Fish vs The Revival.

WWE Photo
That was a dream match being booked on your WWE 2K universe mode and it delivered that fantasy booking. It was Takeover worthy showing which is not surprising given that it's very familiar territory for the former Smackdown tag team champions.

Undisputed Era did a pop-up knee strike to Dash Wilder. Scott Dawson then hit a superplex followed by a splash from Dash Wilder to Bobby Fish and Fish survived that. O'Reilly saved Fish from having Dawson count to 3 after The Revival nailed the shatter machine to Fish.

The Undisputed Era hit the double team move that I still don't know the name of and won this match. Probably a match of the year candidate and definitely the best TV match of the year candidate.

The Viking Raiders vs The Forgotten Sons In Wesley Blake And Steve Cutler.

WWE Photo
Forgotten Sons looked like a champ in this match surprisingly but they lost the match with the Viking Experience. After that performance, give Forgotten Sons a tag title shot at some point down the line.

Adam Cole vs Dominic Djakovic. Winner Gets A War Games Advantage In A Ladder Match.

WWE Photo
Cole hurt Djakovic's head badly with the brainbuster on the ladder however, Dominic countered that with a chokeslam to Adam Cole on the ladder. They were fighting on top of the ladder and Cole strikes Djakovic with the briefcase which Djakovic landed through another ladder and Cole wins this one.

WWE Photo
After the match, the rest of NXT, RAW and Smackdown destroyed each other. Rollins kicked Adam Cole's head then, Ciampa slowly walked to the ring and brawled with the man that's being called "Seth's not cool" by the Full sail crowd (get it? The Man? I'll stop).

Not the best ending but the match was very good though. That Claymore kick from McIntyre to Djakovic looked great though as well as how Drew sold that powerbomb from Keith Lee.

Some Other Things That Happened.

Kay Lee Ray vs Dakota Kai - That sunset flip from Kai was great to see but that wasn't enough to defeat Kay Lee Ray.

After the NXT UK Women's champion won the match, the rest of RAW and Smackdown came to invade obviously even a staredown between Io Shirai and Nikki Bella, I mean Kairi Sane happened for a moment.

AEW

Highlights.

Rey Fenix vs Nick Jackson.

A rare singles action between those two performers and it was good. Jackson knocked Fenix out with that German suplex on the ring apron. Fenix countered that with a modified muscle buster on Nick Jackson and wins this match up.

Chris Jericho's Major Announcement.

Le Champio's announcement is a thanksgiving party for himself and he struggled to spit out the word "sorry" so instead he let Jake Hager said sorry every time Jericho wanted to say it. Maybe he's ashamed the way he says sorry like all Canadians?

Out came SCU and Scorpio Sky which Chris Jericho went back and forth verbally with Sky about Sky pinning the champion.

Le Champio made his AEW title match official against Scorpio Sky and the rest of the Inner Circle had an advantage by beating all of SCU.

The Jurassic Express rushed to the rescue and managed to get rid of Inner Circle. A very entertaining interaction as to be expected from Chris Jericho the GOAT.

Some Other Things That Happened.

Britt Baker vs Hikaru Shida - Shida won the match with a shining wizard. Not surprised if that was an easter egg to a certain significant other.

A Dark Order Recruitment Video - Yea, that video was pretty much that and it was the most interesting thing AEW has done with that stable.

A Diamond Dozen Dynamite Battle Royal - The last two wrestlers in that match will fight for a diamond ring next week. Don't know what that diamond ring will lead for a competitor to become number one contender for the AEW championship or something but will see what happens.

Jungle Boy and Hangman Adam Page lasted through the end but MJF pushed Jungle Boy and MJF will now face Page for that diamond on next week's episode.

Peter Of The Librarian vs Luchasaurus - Luchasaurus squashed him with an electric chair into a reverse face slam of some sort.

Santana And Ortiz vs Private Party - A decent encounter. Private Party won the match with Gin and Juice thanks to an interference by Nick Jackson. Dustin Rhodes showed up and he got rid of Santana, Ortiz and Sammy Guevara after the losers of the match beat up Private Party.

Jon Moxley vs Darby Allen - An okay main event with a very effective finish in the top rope underhook DDT.

WrestleFest DXB's Fahrenheit 971 | A Coherent W.

Being a fan of pro wrestling (or any other medium of entertainment) does have its pros and cons when engaging with the industry as a whole.  On one hand, you've witnessed an Eddie Kingston promo that'll make you tear up more than the opening scene of Up.  On the other hand, going to the wrestling subreddit will definitely have you questioning humanity as a whole and the fact that living in an area where a wrestling presence pretty much doesn't exist like a Vince Russo-written storyline that is, you know, GOOD!?  Luckily, the latter retracted my con as a fan because I'm talking about Wrestlefest DXB and their latest joint, "971 Fahrenheit".  Martin Bushby of now Post Wrestling Alumni brought the event to my attention because like a wrestler on an episode of RAW I get distracted all the time.  So, I decided to take a short journey to a taxi then a bus then a train then a 30-minute walk to the show itself and I know I'm going to sound biased as f**k but I l...

Let's Talk About The White Rabbit In The Room.

I haven't reviewed last year's show mainly because it was so good and clearly as extreme as any ECW match and I'm happy to tell all 3 of y'all that this one is better by several inches or so. Why? *slaps my bald head* HERE'S WHY. The opening match between Sheamus and Gunther's crew ruled harder than the Mongolian empire.  It was basically an enhanced version of Sheamus' match with Gunther last night on Smackdown and I loved it.  The Brawling Brutes' victory means one thing that is clearly obvious, a rematch between Sheamus and Gunther for the intercontinental championship aka the only series of rematches I don't mind.  Ronda Rousey and Liv Morgan delivered in what was a wrestling match equivalent to the X-Men Dark Phoenix movie.  While Bianca Belair and Bayley had their equivalent to the first Iron Man movie in that it was decent.  Drew McIntyre and Karrion Kross had an okay edition of the "Meaty men slapping meat".  That spear from Edge to...

A Few Thoughts On RAW And Smackdown: RAW wasn't GREAT!?

Since this blog will be less of a priority now considering I'm focusing on my podcast now (hit the 5 stars on Apple Podcast you sons of b*tches), I decided to share my few thoughts on RAW, Smackdown, I guess?  Smackdown.  The blue brand delivered yet another good episode this week and it's probably due to the fact that Braun Strowman taking out the Maximum Model is high-key funny as f**k.  The folks over at Titan Towers are bringing back the essence of their characters whether it's Kevin Owens, Shayna Baszler or in this case, Big Braun himself.   As a fan, you gotta love it, especially since in the case of Strowman, the dude hasn't been the same since he turned heel 4 years ago when feuding with Roman Reigns for the universal title.   Other noteworthy segments include Logan Paul challenging Roman Reigns for the big world universal multiverse galactic cinematic championship.  Imagine they pulled that match off 7 years ago back when Logan was on V...
