A very decent night of wrestling is under the history books along with, a review that talks about this particular night of professional wrestling. Let's get to it.

NXT

Highlights.

Finn Balor Explains Himself.

WWE Photo
This was rather a short promo however, it did a good job on explaining his actions last week  (which I wish that I would've talked about that heel turn last week but unfortunately, I didn't review the show).

He tells the audience that a wrestler that sits backstage and watches the shows are destined to be sitting with the fans the next day. Finn Balor then further elaborates that he's the hottest act in WWE at the moment.

Balor ends the promo warning Johnny Gargano that Johnny will go from Johnny Wrestling to Johnny Watches Wrestling which has a surprising ring to it.

Tegan Nox and Dakota Kai vs The Kabuki Warriors For The WWE Tag Team Championship And A Special Announcement.

WWE Photo
Boy, that was a fun match for fans of tag team wrestling and pro wrestling in general. Tegan Nox reversed Asuka's kneebar after Asuka countered Nox's shiniest wizard.

The empress of tomorrow would then spit out the green mist to Dakota Kai and just like that, they've retained the championships. Shayna and the gang showed up after the match and Tegan Nox tried to defend herself but she was outnumbered.

Rhea Ripley slowly walks to the ring and Io Shirai strikes Ripley from behind which led to Candice LeRae throwing Shirai on the barricade.

Speaking of throwing, Bianca Belair threw LeRae near the steel steps and Rhea kicks Belair with a big boot.

All of those women showed up inside the ring moments later and it turned into a big brawl. William Regal told all of those women that he has a simple solution to this problem and that's war games.

Ho. Ly. Crap. It has finally arrived. The real question is, who is not excited for the first-ever all women's war games match?

Some Other Things That Happened.

Candice LeRae vs Io Shirai - A rematch from Takeover: Toronto, they have some unfinished business and Mauro in commentary, compared this feud to a Bhad Bharbie beef going on right now which isn't shocking if you know who she is.

Io Shirai brought a chair but Candice seeks in immediately with a roll-up. Io won her match thanks to LeRae's moonsault on the chair. After the match, Rhea Ripley came out to save LeRae from an additional beating by Io Shirai.

Bronson Reed vs Shane Throne - Bronson Reed showing his power and destruction with that splash Samoan style from the top rope to Shane Throne and Reed took the W. A decent match overall.

Cameron Grimes vs Tyler Bate - Thanks to a distracted Tyler Bate when Killian Dain showed up, Cameron Grimes strikes Bate with the running double stomp and then, Killian Dain absolutely destroyed Tyler with that splash on the steel steps.

The Undisputed Era In Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish vs Keith Lee and Matt Riddle - Each person in that match know each other so well and it was obvious watching this back and forth action.

Adam Cole and Roderick Strong were taken out by Keith Lee but unfortunately, Riddle took the pin from Bobby Fish and after the Undisputed Era beats up the losing team, Tommaso Ciampa rushed to the ring so that Ciampa could make the save.

A decent main event match. Maybe we might get two war games matches but we shall see what happens next.

AEW

Highlights.

Tony Schiavone And Cody Discuss The Rhodes Family Stories In A Limo Ride.

In a short but effective segment, Cody Rhodes and Tony were talking about Cody's dad Dusty Rhodes and Schiavone told him basically good luck. This uncle and nephew type of dynamic was rather interesting to witness (get it? Dynamic? Dynamite?). It is also something I wanna see more of.

Cody Rhodes vs Chris Jericho For The AEW World Championship Contract Signing.

Both guys signed the contract to make this championship match on November 9th at Full Gear official. Chris Jericho got a huge heel volcanic heat from the crowd which I didn't expect.

Jericho then offered to shake his hand to which Cody accepted. Sammy Guevara told Cody to look on the titantron and it was Jake Hager beating up Cody's brother Dustin Rhodes which led to Cody rushing to check on his brother.

Jon Moxley Tells The World To Stay The Hell Out of His Way.

Jon plants The Librarian with the DDT and then, he grabbed a microphone saying that he's the sickest son of a gun there is and Moxley is unsanctionable.

He then went on to say that he's going to deliver the wrestling violence the fans haven't seen in years. Jon ends his promo by telling the corporate yes man to stay the hell out of his way.

Just a kick in the gut promo that Moxley gives us when he's in his element. Great stuff by the former WWE champion (what? You said WWE? Well, you just lost your credibility buddy).

Some Other Things That Happened.

Hangman Adam Page vs Sammy Guevara - An okay opener. After Page clotheslined the crap outta Guevara for the victory, Page cut a promo basically telling the fans that he's going to do that cowboy sh*t.

Shanna vs Hikaru Shida - Out of all the wrestlers I don't know outside of WWE, Shanna is a pro wrestler I'm actually familiar with for almost 2 years.

That package driver from Shida to Shanna looked absolutely nasty. Hikaru Shida won her match with the shining wizard. A very decent women's match.

Best Friends and Orange Cassidy vs QT Marshal, Alex Reynolds, John Silver - The good guys won and I'm not a fan of Rick and Morty so.

Rock N' Roll Express To Present the AEW Tag Team Titles - Chris Van Vliet was about to interview The Rock N' Roll Express, however, Satana and Ortiz made a statement by beating the current NWA tag team champions (yes, you read that right).

The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega vs Hybrid 2 and Kip Sabian - Santana and Ortiz got a bit of a taste of their match at Full Gear by beating up The Young Bucks after the brothers won their 6 man tag match.

SCU in Frank Kazarian and Scorpio Sky vs The Lucha Brothers For The AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament Finals - Pentagon jr delivers Frank Kazarian a powerbomb through a table. Scorpio Sky locks the inside cradle for the AEW tag team championship victory. The match was aight.

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Fyter Fest 2020 Came Back Swinging?

Last week, on this very series, I said that I enjoyed Great American Bash better than Fyter Fest.  Well, this week is the exact opposite. AEW came in swinging with night 2 Fyter Fest.  I've not liked a Dynamite episode in several weeks so it's nice to see that the show finally executed a great show since God knows how long.   NXT      Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Mia Yim vs Candice LeRae In A Street Fight. The match went underway after Yim quickly attacked Candice LeRae during LeRae's entrance.  In the crowd area, Candice tried to nail the suplex on the table but Yim got out of that position and kicked her to which she landed through the table.  The Streetfight concluded with LeRae striking Yim with the brass knuckles followed by a swinging neck from the top of the table onto a bunch of chairs and that's how LeRae defeats the HBIC.  A fun opening match even though...

WWE Smackdown Season Premiere | A Coherent Review.

It is the season premiere of Friday night Smackdown even though WWE doesn't have an offseason.  Nevertheless, it was a decent program and had a WAY better ending than whatever the hell of an ending last year's premiere of Friday night Smackdown showed.  There isn't a women's match this week and all of the AEW fanboys are looking at this like, "sEe, WWE dOeSn't feATuRe wOmeN'S mAtChEs aLsO."  pictures via WWE.com The Season Premiere Of Smackdown 2020.  The show started off with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon highlighting the scheduled matches for Smackdown as well as the superstars.  Chaos then ensued thanks to a huge brawl. Then, the "super freak" Lars Sullivan came out and delivered the freak accident to Shorty G.  Somehow, Jeff Hardy attacked him and that led to the opening match of the night between Lars and Jeff.  You know, I'm kind of surprised that two white people in McMahon and Hemsley knew who Rick James is.  Maybe I'm igno...

THE Coherent AEW Take: Christian Dior, Dior. Eddie Kingston up in all the stores!

Ever since AEW Dynamite was on Saturday night for a bit, I've been WAY behind on AEW content so excuse my ignorance. And It's Full Gear weekend which means another PPV that would last longer than the Snyder cut.  Sheeit, I'll bet the collar and elbow hold alone from the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega championship match, is longer than the entire Queen's Crown tournament.  As far as how I feel about both programs this week, well.  They did an okay job on building towards the final AEW PPV of the year this Saturday. Rampage.   Highlights.  Bryan Danielson vs Anthony Bowens.  And no, the highlight doesn't include Max Caster's verses. I'll rather listen to f**king Riff Raff than Max Caster's dig on anything.  The worst part, people are probably going to look at this and say, "can't wait for a Max Caster's appearance on Wild 'N Out!"  With that being said, this opening match was good. Danielson wins with the rebel lock.  Eddie Kingston (wi...
