A pretty decent Smackdown Live episode considering that Smackdown Live has been RAW 2018: blue edition in recent weeks so I'm surprised that the episode was not terrible.
Bayley And Sasha Are Tired Of Being Humble. Well, Sasha Banks Is But Not Bayley Yet.
Bayley came out smiling as if nothing happened with some mixed reactions from the crowd. Bayley apparently doesn't get it because she's been humble with her best friend and she basically states that she's not the bad guy and never will be the bad guy (will see about that).
After Bayley talks about how Charlotte is selfish, out came the queen and she says that Charlotte is the queen of selfishness with no hugging but Sasha Banks came out before the queen was going to say about what she's going to do at Clash Of Champions.
Charlotte kicks the Smackdown women's champion and Sasha brawled with Charlotte which led to Bayley hitting Flair with a series of chair shots before Banks got her turn.
I'm glad that Bayley is the same Bayley before what she did last night given that building another layer to a character takes time and if there's one thing I could nitpick about Io Shirai's heel turn is that the process felt rushed even though her heel run has been good so far.
Elias vs Ali. King Of The Ring Quarter Finals.
Ali works on Elias' left throughout the second and the final moments of the match to which he locks in the crossface to Elias. Elias then locks in the Brock lock but Ali reaches the top rope. Ali hits the 450 splash however, Elias reversed it into a drift away and advances the semi-finals.
Not my first choice but as long as Chad Gable actually advances in the finals because they're telling an intriguing story about Gable right now. That match though was probably the best Elias match I've seen since his match with Seth Rollins back at Money In The Bank 2018.
We go from a quick Samoa Joe interview about his semi-finals match next week to an Aleister Black promo basically wanting a fight. Look, Black, if you want a fight then follow Dolph and Joe's decision and beat up Kofi. Not only you're getting a fight but you also get a championship fight. Eh? Eh?
Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross vs Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.

Two bad guys. Yawn. The team known as Fire and Desire won a match with a double team move that I don't know the name of.
Chad Gable interacted with Samoa Joe about Gable's height and Joe cut a good short promo saying that those words hurt Gable inside and there's no weakness in the kingdom.
Randy Orton Says That He's Winning The Title In 2 Weeks.
Orton looked annoyed by the "Kofi, Kofi" chants but what's not annoying to him is beating The New Day up and what they stand for. Orton calls out Kofi to which Kofi Kingston came out but The Revival dragged the WWE champion barely with a 2 on 1 brawl but Randy helped them and kicks him in Kofi's arms and legs while saying "stupid" each time he hits Kingston.
I'm glad that they're kinda staying away from the "I'm gonna mess with your family" angle but Kofi hasn't got his heat back in weeks now and I hope he gets it on the go-home show. I get that they're building an impossible odds for Kofi to conquer but this is a bit too much (God damn it, I hate being fickle).
Andrade vs Chad Gable. King Of The Ring Quarter Finals.
Before the match, Zelina Vega cut a promo about how she believes that Chad Gable would win this tournament if Andrade wasn't in it. The match started off with an amateur wrestling takedown. Gable then delivers a swinging neckbreaker to a near fall and at this point, the crowd went bananas for Chad Gable.
Andrade hits the triple suplex or three amigos but didn't hit the third one because Chad reversed it into a triple German suplex Kurt Angle style but Andrade countered that with the third suplex.

Chad later then hits a separate German suplex with a bridge but Zelina distracted the ref. The match ended with a roll-up after Andrade tried to hit the hammerlock DDT. The story continues and I didn't expect anything from this at first but now I'm a fan of it so far.
Aleister Black vs Shelton Benjamin.
Quick counters later from both men and Aleister Black kicked Shelton's head off with the black mass and won the match. Decent match but would've been better if it lasted longer like 10 minutes.
Drake Maverick and his wife were trying to escape in a boiler room with some of the superstars gunning at his title but Bo Dallas actually succeeded at taking the 24/7 championship.
Shinsuke Nakamura vs Local Jobber.

To quote Shinsuke's opponent at Clash Of Champions, really? Really? Really? A squash match? After Nakamura and Zayn left the ring, the 24/7 championship was regained by Drake Maverick but R Truth "quietly" pinned Maverick to become 24/7 champion once again. I find it odd that the 24/7 title situation didn't appear on RAW last night.
Daniel Bryan Confused As To Why Roman Speared Him Last Week.
Bryan screamed on top of his lungs saying that he's innocent and not a liar. Daniel Bryan also wanted an apology and Roman came out to I'm assuming going to do that but Rowan attacked Reigns from behind. Rowan basically told Bryan to F off with an iron claw through an announce table that was set up for Roman Reigns.
I'm not feeling how this angle has shifted from being kind of interesting to starlight up boring and nonsensical but Daniel Bryan being truthful in this is probably the best part about this and it goes to show that not all bad guys get along because they're just bad. That beatdown was surprisingly not offensive though.
So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.
Like: the two King Of The Ring Quarter Finals matches, opening segment, Daniel Bryan saying true to his words.
Didn't like: Nakamura squash match, Kofi not getting his heat back in weeks but hopefully, that is not the case next week.
