WWE Smackdown Live 17/9/19 | My Coherent Review.

Smackdown Live was like Clash of Champions, okay overall. That’s it.

Oh, you wanna know why I feel this way? Okay, well here you go.

The New Day vs The Revival And Randy Orton.

WWE Photo

This show started off with a match. A 6 man tag team match in fact which is a nice change of pace. for this show. Wish I could say the same thing about this match. Not that I have a problem with this match but rather it was okay. The match ended with Big E preventing an RKO machine and Kofi delivers the trouble in paradise to win this match but then, out came Brock Lesnar along with Paul Heyman and no, it's not a typo.

Heyman said that it's a bad day for the New Day yes it is and was informed that Brock Lesnar challenges Kofi to match for the WWE title on Friday Night SmackDown premiere on FOX. Kofi accepts it and ate an F5 afterwards.
Kofi will defend the WWE Title against Lesnar on Friday, Oct. 4, the premiere of SmackDown LIVE on FOX!

This is no pun intended, big news and Kofi has faced Lesnar before so will the outcome be the same on Friday? Will find out soon. Also, when they put the match graphics later in the night, they played that theme song and I'm not feeling it right now.

Erick Rowan had a sit-down interview with Micheal Cole about Luke Harper's return and his win at Clash Of Champions thanks to Harper and he said that he no longer wants to be a follower but rather a leader. Meh.

Ali vs Shinsuke Nakamura.

WWE Photo
The match hasn't begun thanks to Sami Zayn distracting Ali which led to a Kinshasa but after that beatdown, Kevin Owens came out with his lawyer I suppose and Shane McMahon brought up paperwork as well as Kevin Owens along with a mic.

Kevin Owens told him about the paperwork which is a lawsuit in which he gets somewhere in the 20 million dollars range and he did this to embarrassed Shane because he feels that he’s been treated unfairly. I don't blame the guy, pay your bills man.

Charlotte Flair vs Sasha Banks.

Before the match, Offset from Migos introduced Charlotte Flair which was nice. Charlotte took out both Banks and Bayley with a moonsault. The match ended in a DQ because Bayley put her hands on Flair after Flair did the figure 4.

A 2 on 1 beating later and Carmella came out to even the odds. I forgot to mention this in my RAW review yesterday that the RAW women's championship will take place inside hell in a cell and I can't wait for it. The match was aight. By the way, Carmella of all people makes the save? Bayley and Carmella were good friends in real life but that wasn't referenced at all on TV so?

The Coronation Of King Corbin.

Corbin cracks a bunch of height jokes and claims that Chad is like all these people because all their dreaming and hard work will still result in them coming up short!

After he wore the cap and the crown, Corbin cut a promo basically saying that he's the king that everybody needs and calls out one of the finals of the king of the ring tournament which was Chad Gable.

King Corbin made short jokes and Gable wasn't having it which led to Gable destroying the crown, the cap and that stick that I don't know the name of. The fact that Chad is getting featured after the tournament is really nice. That segment was decent though.

Heavy Machinery vs The B Team.

WWE Photo
This match was one-sided aka it was a squash match (no shit, Omar). Heavy Machinery won the match with the compactor.

Daniel Bryan Speaks After He Ate An Iron Claw Two Weeks Ago.

Bryan recalls being the one to give Erick Rowan a chance when no one else would and winning the SmackDown Tag Team Titles together and claims he always treated Rowan as his friend.

So, Daniel Bryan came out to talk about Erick Rowan and how he feels betrayed because he's treated Rowan nothing but the utmost respect.

Speaking of the devil, out came Erick Rowan and he told him that he's basically tired of being a puppet and Luke Harper sought attacked Bryan and they ganged up on the former planet's champion. The Big Dog makes the save but that failed thanks to a powerbomb on the ring post and a double crucifix bomb to Bryan through a table.

Just like Charlotte, I guess Bryan is a face once again and I'm not feeling it at this moment. However, Rowan and Harper have looked strong for the second night this week and honestly, I'm impressed.

I mean they were built up pretty nicely before and they ended up being not interesting and gone nowhere if that makes sense so I hope that it's not the case this time.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: the ending, Chad Gable being a major feud.

Didn’t Like: Carmella showing up made no sense.

WWE Smackdown Season Premiere | A Coherent Review.

It is the season premiere of Friday night Smackdown even though WWE doesn't have an offseason.  Nevertheless, it was a decent program and had a WAY better ending than whatever the hell of an ending last year's premiere of Friday night Smackdown showed.  There isn't a women's match this week and all of the AEW fanboys are looking at this like, "sEe, WWE dOeSn't feATuRe wOmeN'S mAtChEs aLsO."  pictures via WWE.com The Season Premiere Of Smackdown 2020.  The show started off with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon highlighting the scheduled matches for Smackdown as well as the superstars.  Chaos then ensued thanks to a huge brawl. Then, the "super freak" Lars Sullivan came out and delivered the freak accident to Shorty G.  Somehow, Jeff Hardy attacked him and that led to the opening match of the night between Lars and Jeff.  You know, I'm kind of surprised that two white people in McMahon and Hemsley knew who Rick James is.  Maybe I'm igno...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Fyter Fest 2020 Came Back Swinging?

Last week, on this very series, I said that I enjoyed Great American Bash better than Fyter Fest.  Well, this week is the exact opposite. AEW came in swinging with night 2 Fyter Fest.  I've not liked a Dynamite episode in several weeks so it's nice to see that the show finally executed a great show since God knows how long.   NXT      Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Mia Yim vs Candice LeRae In A Street Fight. The match went underway after Yim quickly attacked Candice LeRae during LeRae's entrance.  In the crowd area, Candice tried to nail the suplex on the table but Yim got out of that position and kicked her to which she landed through the table.  The Streetfight concluded with LeRae striking Yim with the brass knuckles followed by a swinging neck from the top of the table onto a bunch of chairs and that's how LeRae defeats the HBIC.  A fun opening match even though...

THE Coherent AEW Take: Christian Dior, Dior. Eddie Kingston up in all the stores!

Ever since AEW Dynamite was on Saturday night for a bit, I've been WAY behind on AEW content so excuse my ignorance. And It's Full Gear weekend which means another PPV that would last longer than the Snyder cut.  Sheeit, I'll bet the collar and elbow hold alone from the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega championship match, is longer than the entire Queen's Crown tournament.  As far as how I feel about both programs this week, well.  They did an okay job on building towards the final AEW PPV of the year this Saturday. Rampage.   Highlights.  Bryan Danielson vs Anthony Bowens.  And no, the highlight doesn't include Max Caster's verses. I'll rather listen to f**king Riff Raff than Max Caster's dig on anything.  The worst part, people are probably going to look at this and say, "can't wait for a Max Caster's appearance on Wild 'N Out!"  With that being said, this opening match was good. Danielson wins with the rebel lock.  Eddie Kingston (wi...
