WWE RAW 16/9/19 | My Coherent Review.

Other than witnessing the wrestling equivalent of battlefield earth with that gender reveal party, this episode was really, really good and here’s why.

Seth Rollins Talks About His Monstrous Win Last Night.

Suddenly, Seth is interrupted by the latest episode of “Firefly Fun House.”

The universal champion in Seth Rollins started off this week's episode of RAW after he got choked out by the mandible claw the night before this and he recaps his night even mentioning Bray Wyatt's attack on him.

Bray Wyatt showed up via the firefly fun house segment in the titantron and he says that the Fiend never forgets. After that segment was over, the match graphics for this episode was upside down just like my current life situation. A very good segment and I really liked how this segment was executed with the firefly fun house and an in-ring promo at the same time.

The RAW And SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions Encountered A Monster.

WWE Photo

The tag team champions from both brands were having a summit until Braun Strowman came out and destroys everybody. This was whatever to me.

Afterwards, Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross were talking about how they've moved on from fire and desire and mentions that they're going to win their upcoming match with Banks and Bayley.

The O.C vs Cedric Alexander And The Viking Raiders.

WWE Photo

This match lasted short in my opinion. The O.C won their match with a phenomenal forearm to Alexander and then, Styles hits a series of kicks to Alexander which led to a brawl between The Viking Raiders and Gallows and Anderson which led to a hurricanrana from Cedric but it was reversed into a Styles clash from the phenomenal one.

They're building sympathy for Alexander so that Cedric will capture the US title or at least I hope that's the theory.

R Truth and Carmella were visiting a basketball museum of some sort and the mayor of Knoxville, Tennessee in Glenn Jacobs (his real name was actually mentioned) and he wants to show him the town with a limo ride. The real question is, is this the last time we get to see the mayor?

Baron Corbin vs Chad Gable. King Of The Ring Tournament Finals.

WWE Photo

At one point in commentary, Micheal Cole actually references the Basham Brothers which unless your memory is good, nobody remembers that tag team.

They were like the boyband five of tag team wrestling. Remember Five? Of course, you don't because that's the point. Anywho, Baron Corbin dominated throughout this match however, Chad Gable locks in the ankle lock but Corbin got out of that with a punch.

WWE Photo

Corbin delivered a pop-up powerslam in a near fall then delivers deep-six but Chad survived that. Gable locks in the ankle lock for the third time but that wasn't enough because Corbin hits a beautiful looking end of days and became the 2019 King Of The Ring winner.

That tournament was a blast to watch and it was the best King Of The Ring tournament of this decade even though there were like 2 King Of The Rings before this one. Shout out to Chad Gable. That tournament made that dude a star in my opinion. That match was awesome too and also a big shout out to Corbin for his performance in that tournament.

The Gender Reveal Party.

The Street Profits hosted a gender reveal party for Maria Kanellis and it's a boy but Maria reveals that the kid belongs to Ricochet and Mike Kanellis wasn't having it.

WWE Photo

He then told Ricochet to settle that in the ring and Ricochet won the match with the recoil. Maria told him that the child doesn't belong to Ricochet but rather the father is the returning Rusev which led to a match.

Rusev won the match with the accolade. WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FAECES WAS THAT!!? That was several minutes of my life I cannot take back and Mike's burial is something that he will probably never get out of. Also, what does Lana have to say about this? But I will say this, Rusev looks great.

WWE Photo

Transitioning into the 24/7 title situation, Major of Knoxville, Tennessee shows R Truth a football stadium and Jacobs shows Truth a cop but he's actually a referee and Truth ran into that football post and Glenn pins the guy to become the 24/7 champion. This entire 24/7 segment was fine. It didn’t do anything for me but here’s hoping that the next 24/7 segment is good.

Rey Mysterio vs Cesaro.

WWE Photo

A very decent in-ring action. Rey at one point, hits a crucifix driver that gave Mysterio some recovery for the luchador after a beating he took from the Swiss Cyborg. The match ended with a 619 featuring a sunset flip bomb and won this match.

We then saw an Author Of Pain promo and they cut a promo in their native languages with subtitles in the bottom.

They basically said that either WWE should give them opportunities or they take opportunities from others. I wish Paul Ellering was with those guys but this was not bad.

Bayley And Sasha Banks Vs Alexa Bliss And Nikki Cross.

WWE Photo

Alexa was taken out of the match due to Bayley putting one of her legs on the steel steps which turned into an enjoyable 2 on 1 handicap match.

Sasha Banks won her tag team match with the bank statement and Banks tried to hit Nikki with a chair but out came Becky Lynch and they had a duel lightsaber fight steel chairs edition to which Charlotte Flair came out to even the odds.

WWE Photo

Sasha Banks then challenges Becky to match for the RAW women's championship at Hell In Cell obviously. That was a short but good promo and I hope that I get to see more promos like this.

R Truth got his title back from the Glenn Jacobs with a roll-up and then a match happened between Lacey Evans and Dana Brooke that features a sharpshooter which wasn't a disaster surprisingly.

Seth Rollins vs Robert Roode.

WWE Photo

The fact that Robert Roode main evented an episode of RAW shows you where he was just a year ago. Really happy for the guy. The match itself was okay. It ended in a DQ because Dolph Ziggler broke up Seth pins after he delivered the stomp on Roode.

The O.C along with the odd couple, beats up the universal champ but Seth got an aid from the demon Kane (made Mauro Ranallo proud of that rhyme).

WWE Photo

After Kane took out the heels, The Fiend showed up, choked out Kane with the mandible claw and looked at a beat-up Seth Rollins which led to a modified version of the firefly funhouse theme song being played with a creepy look.

Bray Wyatt has defeated Kane before 6 years ago but that win at SummerSlam 2013 win wasn't as impressive is him choking out the big red machine. That ending was fantastic.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: that ending and opening segment, King of the Ring finals, Sasha Banks and Bayley vs Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss, the promo Banks cut after

Didn’t Like: Gender Reveal Party segment.

WWE Extreme Rules 2019 | My Coherent Review.

Man, I'm impressed with WWE in terms of PPVs as of late because overall, this was a fantastic show in my opinion with great matches but the crowd was dead for most of the show so that sucks.  I finally watched the pre-show match between Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura before I went to bed because the show aired at 2 am where I live and it was okay.  By the way, how interesting is it when on last year’s Extreme Rules show, Shinsuke Nakamura won the United States championship and now this year’s show, he won the intercontinental title. Also, it's funny that the intercontinental championship was the main event on last's year show and on this year's Extreme Rules PPV, it's on the preshow.  Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns and The Undertaker.  Mike Rome did better in announcing "The Best In the world" this time than on RAW. Mike Rome's announcement a few weeks ago sounded like that one friend that thinks he/she knows how to ...

NXT Takeover: In Your House 2020 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover: In Your House is like the rest of the Takeover shows, a fantastic 2 hours of professional wrestling.  What makes this show special is the additional nostalgia like how the show started with the NXT WWF inspired intro, the ice cream commercial narrated by William Regal doing his best Lord Alferd Hayes impression, icopro commercial and last but not least, Todd Pettengill.  This is a show that I'm definitely rewatching in years to come.  Mia Yim, Tegan Nox And Shotzi Blackheart vs Raquel Gonzalez, Candice LeRae And Dakota Kai.  A decent opening match. During the match, Nox did a Molly Holly top rope on to every competitor in the match.  Yim tried to give LeRae some Seoul Food but LeRae reversed that into a suplex. Several minutes later, Shotzi did a Salida Del Sol of some sort on Gonzalez to which Nox delivered the shiniest wizard on Kai and won the match.  Finn Balor vs Damian Priest. I actually thought that the closing mo...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Holy Sh*t, The Revival Are All Elite, Matt Riddle vs Timothy Thatcher In A Unique Steel Cage Match.

Both shows had its weak points but overall, that was an enjoyable 4 hours of professional wrestling television. I personally liked AEW Dynamite this week.  From an awesome women's match with Shida and Christi Jaynes to The Revival showing up, AEW managed to give me a solid episode and successfully furthered their storylines to next week's exciting show.  NXT   Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Kushida vs Drake Maverick vs Jake Atlas. Triple Threat Match Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.  What a way to kick off this episode of NXT, am I right? Atlas delivered the rainbow DDT but Kushida broke Jake's pin.  Speaking of Kushida, he nailed the armbar submission, however, Drake pinned Atlas because Atlas' shoulders were on the mat and will meet El Hijo Del Fantasma for the finals next week.  I don't know if Drake is rehired or he's going to be rehired but Maverick has a big ta...
