Well. Vince McMahon changing the direction of this show hours before this episode aired and the results was a skippable episode like a filler anime episode. This show was neutral as water bruh.
Charlotte Flair Wants Trish To Bow Down To the Queen.
Charlotte Flair cut a promo about how she's better than Trish Stratus and how she showed up "at the height of the women's revolution" for one more match. Out came her SummerSlam opponent and she agreed with Charlotte that she has been dreaming for one more match and Charlotte may be the queen but she's not Trish Stratus.
Charlotte replied with a statement saying that Trish Stratus is going to bow down to the queen and Trish countered that with a slap.
Other than how the line "at the height of the women's" made me laugh so loud, this segment was not offensive but it really lacked intensity. Not that every feud needs to be intense but it had no life to it.
Dolph Ziggler vs Rey Mysterio.
Goldberg's music hits and it turns out that it wasn't Goldberg but rather it was Dolph Ziggler which I "obviously" didn't see that coming (as if the audience are really that stupid).
The match hasn't started because Dolph Ziggler assaulted Rey Mysterio and cut a promo saying that Goldberg is last (unless big money is knocking on his door then yes he's quote "last").
Ali rushed to the rescue and a match between Ziggler and Ali has been made. Ziggler won the match with the superkick. I mean, isn't the loser of this match is in contention for the intercontinental championship? wha?
Roman Reigns Exclusive Interview.
Roman had a sit-down interview with Kayla Braxton and she asked a few questions but she saved the interesting question for last and it was about the attacker.
Reigns said that he's looking for answers tonight. Find out who's the attacker and my thoughts on it by scrolling down below.
Natalya vs Ember Moon. SummerSlam Challenger vs SummerSlam Challenger.
A very unique idea by WWE but the problem with this is that one of the challengers will eat a pinfall going into a title match. So, who ate the L?
Nobody actually because Natalya locked Ember in the sharpshooter on the outside ending the match in a double count-out and then Bayley came out to check on her challenger.
The KO Show. Special Guest, His Summerslam Opponent In Shane McMahon.
Kevin Owens told Shane that the reason he's putting his career on the line is because of Shane's last name and Owens requested him to put his career on the line. Shane McMahon said no (so shocked) and said that there's no shame in losing to the best in the world.
They waited to "give the prelude" before SummerSlam aka a brawl before a match and Owens was no pun intended, bested by Shane with the assistance of Elias.
Sami Zayn vs Aleister Black.
Sami, your friend just got a 2 on 1 beating. Where were you, man? Anyways, you're probably reading the title above like "is this match suppose to happen at SummerSlam?"
Well, before the match, Sami Zayn was going on about how Black is afraid of him until Aleister Black himself showed up and said that this match happens on this episode of Smackdown Live.
This match ended with a black mass from Aleister Black. I sincerely hope that WWE doesn't mess this up because Aleister Black is money and if they put the right cards forward then they'll have a big star on their hands.
Sarah Schreiber asked Shelton Benjamin if he wants to complete for the 24/7 championship? Benjamin said "well……." and left assuming that the 24/7 champion is here. Speaking of the 24/7 title, it doesn't exist on this show and I'm really surprised like why not showcase the 24/7 title segment.
Then, Bray Wyatt had his firefly fun house segment and brought out "The Fiend" which is great.
One last thing. Apparently, Elias hates short people after his interaction with Chad Gable who, by the way, had some fantastic matches with Jack Gallagher.
Kofi Kingston Replied Orton's Segment Last Week About Kingston Grinding Out To Be Big.
That was a very good segment while not as good as the segment from last week's show.
The New Day in Xavier Woods and Big E vs Daniel Bryan and Rowan.
A match that was aight. Nothing special really happened in this tag team match. The match ended in a DQ because Rowan used the steel steps and hits Woods with it.
The former planet's champions absolutely decimated Woods and Big E with no sight of Kingston whatsoever. At least mention why's Kofi not helping his bros but nope, say nothing because consistency am I right?
Roman Reigns Is Not Messing Around.
Roman Reigns went to the locker room and asked Buddy Murphy if Buddy actually did it? Buddy said the generic "I'm not telling you nothing line" to which Roman beats him up so hard that Murphy did the exact opposite and Buddy stated that he saw Rowan did it.
My thoughts on Daniel and Rowan being the attackers, honestly I hoped that the angle would last a bit longer like a few months but the reveal made me feel nothing like no emotional attachment to it.
So, to recap for all of you slow mofos:
Like: Other than the Kofi segment, nothing.
Didn't Like: Ali eating a pinfall even though he's going to face the IC title at some point.
