The 5 News Week: Nor Diana's Story As A Muslim Female Pro Wrestler, Paul Heyman Rumoured To Be Behind Sasha Banks' Heel Turn?

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week.

Paul Heyman Rumoured To Be Behind Sasha Banks' Heel Turn?

Paul Heyman has made some plot decisions in the creative team for the red brand since his role executive director has to quote the rapper Rick Ross, "initiated".

One of those creative choices he has assembled was Sasha Banks' recent heel turn and the promo she cut on this past week's episode of RAW according to Wade Keller of PWtorch via his hotline show.

That promo she cut was executed decently yet it was written pretty indistinctly in terms of emotional impact in the story Banks' part of with Becky Lynch. Hopefully, she actually works with better-written material because that was not Paul Heyman's best work behind the scenes.

Nor Diana's Story As A Muslim Female Pro Wrestler.

Nor Diana is a   Malaysian Muslim professional wrestler who goes under the nickname of the "Phoenix". Now, if that name sounds familiar that's because Now This posted a video back in mid-July about this young wrestler that has 1886 likes on Twitter as of writing this which was promoted by the current Smackdown star in Ali.

Nor was recently interviewed by Al Jazeera and she mentions that her goal is joining World Wrestling Entertainment:

“I have a goal to wrestle in WWE, “I think I can bring something to the wrestling industry. I want people to see me as a wrestler, and not just as some Muslim hijab girl. “

She has also said about the transition from utilizing a mask to wearing a headscarf with confidence:

"When I started I was always worried that I don't belong in wrestling as I wear a hijab. I was worried what people would say about a Muslim girl wrestling. But I always trained in my scarf, and I started feeling more comfortable and confident, and decided to wear it to the ring. My bosses were really supportive of my decision."

Guys, check out the rest of the interview from Al Jazeera. It's really inspiring and it keeps making people make a difference especially to the young kids out there.

Authors Of Pain Supposed To Be Part Of That Turmoil Match On RAW But Why The Last Minute Change?

I'll tell you why *hitting my head like Simon Miller*. From Dave Meltzer and The Wrestling Observer Radio, they were going to be part of that tag team turmoil match and perform pretty well but they would lose to the odd couple in Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. That was scrapped by Vinnie Mac himself.

Dave said that The Authors Of Pain wouldn't necessarily make it to the finals and I think that the Heavy Machinery spot aka the final tag team in that match was the Authors Of Pain spot based on pure speculation on my part.

The Usos Coming Back To Action.

The Usos hasn't been on TV for a whole month now and the reasons were probably Jimmy Usos' recent DUI arrest. In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave stated that the former 6-time tag team champions are expected to return for in-ring action.

Ric Flair Filed "The Man" Trademark.

There's no denying that Flair is one of if not the GOAT in the square circle but that decision is an odd one. Ric Flair LLC trademarked the short sentence "The Man" on the 26 of August which was 5 days ago as of writing this. One of his famous lines was "to be the man, you have to beat the man" so there you go.

Also, Wrestlingnews.co brought up an interesting point in an article about this that Ric Flair called out Taylor Swift and Becky Lynch via Twitter that Flair is the man. That tweet, by the way, was posted two days before the trademark was filed.

Becky Lynch has responded to this with no Fs given mode.
I guess I have to put the ™ in the man whenever I referred a legend as "the man, the myth, the legend".

I know I usually post the 5 news weeks on Sunday but two wrestling shows are happening on Sunday morning my time so I gotta get this out of the way first. What do you think about the news I just reported and follow me on the tweets @omartheplayaguy. Anyways, stay safe smarks.

WWE Smackdown Season Premiere | A Coherent Review.

It is the season premiere of Friday night Smackdown even though WWE doesn't have an offseason.  Nevertheless, it was a decent program and had a WAY better ending than whatever the hell of an ending last year's premiere of Friday night Smackdown showed.  There isn't a women's match this week and all of the AEW fanboys are looking at this like, "sEe, WWE dOeSn't feATuRe wOmeN'S mAtChEs aLsO."  pictures via WWE.com The Season Premiere Of Smackdown 2020.  The show started off with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon highlighting the scheduled matches for Smackdown as well as the superstars.  Chaos then ensued thanks to a huge brawl. Then, the "super freak" Lars Sullivan came out and delivered the freak accident to Shorty G.  Somehow, Jeff Hardy attacked him and that led to the opening match of the night between Lars and Jeff.  You know, I'm kind of surprised that two white people in McMahon and Hemsley knew who Rick James is.  Maybe I'm igno...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Fyter Fest 2020 Came Back Swinging?

Last week, on this very series, I said that I enjoyed Great American Bash better than Fyter Fest.  Well, this week is the exact opposite. AEW came in swinging with night 2 Fyter Fest.  I've not liked a Dynamite episode in several weeks so it's nice to see that the show finally executed a great show since God knows how long.   NXT      Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Mia Yim vs Candice LeRae In A Street Fight. The match went underway after Yim quickly attacked Candice LeRae during LeRae's entrance.  In the crowd area, Candice tried to nail the suplex on the table but Yim got out of that position and kicked her to which she landed through the table.  The Streetfight concluded with LeRae striking Yim with the brass knuckles followed by a swinging neck from the top of the table onto a bunch of chairs and that's how LeRae defeats the HBIC.  A fun opening match even though...

THE Coherent AEW Take: Christian Dior, Dior. Eddie Kingston up in all the stores!

Ever since AEW Dynamite was on Saturday night for a bit, I've been WAY behind on AEW content so excuse my ignorance. And It's Full Gear weekend which means another PPV that would last longer than the Snyder cut.  Sheeit, I'll bet the collar and elbow hold alone from the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega championship match, is longer than the entire Queen's Crown tournament.  As far as how I feel about both programs this week, well.  They did an okay job on building towards the final AEW PPV of the year this Saturday. Rampage.   Highlights.  Bryan Danielson vs Anthony Bowens.  And no, the highlight doesn't include Max Caster's verses. I'll rather listen to f**king Riff Raff than Max Caster's dig on anything.  The worst part, people are probably going to look at this and say, "can't wait for a Max Caster's appearance on Wild 'N Out!"  With that being said, this opening match was good. Danielson wins with the rebel lock.  Eddie Kingston (wi...
