WWE Smackdown Live 9/7/19 | My Coherent Review.

Smackdown Live has given me back to back to back to back boring episodes as of late. It's as if RAW is becoming the new Smackdown Live in terms of pacing and how the red brand approaches their storylines. This one was an exception. A very decently put show overall.

Before the opening match…..

Dolph had an interview with Kayla Braxton outside the arena until Kevin Owens showed up with his car and they went from arguing with each other to brawling with each other. The rest of the SmackDown Live roster and some WWE officials separated those two men.

A passionate KO recalls when the McMahon Family promised to give the fans what they want, but he says the only thing they got was more Shane McMahon, and he screams that no one wanted that.
Minutes after Shane kicked Kevin Owens out of the arena, Kevin cut a fantastic promo about Shane McMahon not listening to the fans, him taking spots for himself instead of other talented wrestlers.

Out came Shane McMahon and he told the production guys to cut his microphone off and told him to leave the arena. Eventually, he did leave due to an influx of security guards rushing on to him. The question is, did Owens actually leave?

Finn Balor vs Shinsuke Nakamura.

WWE Photo
This is a Wrestlemania worthy match and the match didn't feel like it but it was decent. During the match, Shinsuke kicked Finn's head off on the outside but Balor barely survived and beats the 10 count. The match ends with a second Kinshasa and pinned the intercontinental champion.

Looks like we're going to get a rematch but you know WWE. Hopefully, the rematch is as good as the first one.

After that, Samoa Joe cut a promo on a dark background and he basically said that he's gonna put Kofi to sleep at Extreme Rules.

Bayley And Nikki Cross Had a Contract Signing.

Bayley tells Cross that she̢۪s being manipulated by Bliss.
Yes, indeed that happened and it included some arguments about Alexa Bliss as a person and how Bliss is using Cross according to Bayley. That led to a match between Nikki Cross and Carmella.

Nikki Cross vs Carmella.

That match ended pretty quick with the swinging neckbreaker from Nikki Cross. I feel like I'm the only one that actually likes this storyline so far.

I've heard from people that Nikki Cross is an example of dumb babyface syndrome in this storyline which I completely understand but we all at one point have heard somebody say something to us about how our friend or family member did something wrong and we refused to even acknowledge that.

What I'm hoping for if Alexa turns on Nikki Cross, is the old psychotic Nikki to come back because if there's one thing we've learned about the Shane McMahon and Miz feud is that they don't take a chance at a lower midcarder for the most part.

YAY,  The Women's Tag Team Champions Are Not Dead.

The IIconics came out from the women's locker room and Paige along with the Kabuki Warriors, showed up and Paige said that Asuka and Kairi Sane is due for a Women's tag team championship match considering that they pinned The IIconics at a house show in Japan.

The IIconics made up excuses like how Billie Kay was "sick" and they walked off. That championship needs a title change ASAP because The IIconics hasn't been in a major feud for the championship ever before the formation of Kabuki Warriors.

Otis vs Xavier Woods vs Daniel Bryan.

Before the match was made, Heavy Machinery, The New Day in Xavier Woods and Big, Daniel Bryan and Rowan exchanged some promos about what's gonna happen at Extreme Rules which was aight.

At one point during the commercial break, the referee kicked Rowan, Big E and Tucker Knight out of the match which makes no sense considering that it's a triple threat match. But the finish is the exact opposite of that.

Otis won the match with the pop-up power slam. Heavy Machinery looking good going into Extreme Rules but it is too early to give them the titles though.

Video footage of Ali was showed and he said that he's not afraid of the dark and evil always win if you don't show up to fight.

Aleister Black Reveals His Opponent At Extreme Rules.

Tom Phillips told Aleister Black that his opponent chose not to identify himself. Aleister started to laugh, saying that it's really smart. That opponent was roaming around an empty chair and that person was revealed as Cesaro. That should be a good match if not a great match.

Sarah Schreiber asked Shelton Benjamin if Dolph Ziggler can beat Roman? Shelton just like last week, thought about it like an algebra question and said nothing.

Roman Reigns vs Dolph Ziggler.

WWE Photo
This match started off very slow but picked up decently. When Roman delivered a beautiful looking suicide dive to Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre, Kevin Owens showed up outta nowhere and hits Shane McMahon with the stunner.

Roman Reigns then reversed the zig-zag from Dolph, hits him with the spear and the show immediately faded to black. A very short but strong ending.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos:

Like: Kevin Owens' promo, Otis winning the triple threat match.

Didn't like: The ref kicking out Roman, Big E and Tucker Knight even though it's a triple threat match.

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Fyter Fest 2020 Came Back Swinging?

Last week, on this very series, I said that I enjoyed Great American Bash better than Fyter Fest.  Well, this week is the exact opposite. AEW came in swinging with night 2 Fyter Fest.  I've not liked a Dynamite episode in several weeks so it's nice to see that the show finally executed a great show since God knows how long.   NXT      Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Mia Yim vs Candice LeRae In A Street Fight. The match went underway after Yim quickly attacked Candice LeRae during LeRae's entrance.  In the crowd area, Candice tried to nail the suplex on the table but Yim got out of that position and kicked her to which she landed through the table.  The Streetfight concluded with LeRae striking Yim with the brass knuckles followed by a swinging neck from the top of the table onto a bunch of chairs and that's how LeRae defeats the HBIC.  A fun opening match even though...

WWE Smackdown Season Premiere | A Coherent Review.

It is the season premiere of Friday night Smackdown even though WWE doesn't have an offseason.  Nevertheless, it was a decent program and had a WAY better ending than whatever the hell of an ending last year's premiere of Friday night Smackdown showed.  There isn't a women's match this week and all of the AEW fanboys are looking at this like, "sEe, WWE dOeSn't feATuRe wOmeN'S mAtChEs aLsO."  pictures via WWE.com The Season Premiere Of Smackdown 2020.  The show started off with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon highlighting the scheduled matches for Smackdown as well as the superstars.  Chaos then ensued thanks to a huge brawl. Then, the "super freak" Lars Sullivan came out and delivered the freak accident to Shorty G.  Somehow, Jeff Hardy attacked him and that led to the opening match of the night between Lars and Jeff.  You know, I'm kind of surprised that two white people in McMahon and Hemsley knew who Rick James is.  Maybe I'm igno...

WWE Smackdown 4/2/22 | A Coherent Review.

Gotta be honest guys, this episode didn't do it for me.  Besides the announcement of Ronda Rousey challenging Charlotte Flair for the blue women's belt at Wrestlemania as well as another challenge proposed by Goldberg aka NoBerg to the tribal chief, this, like last week's show, was as skippable as an anime filler episode.  Paul Heyman Was Like, "F**k That Brock Guy!"  Brock and Paul legit need some counselling because they've broken up and reunited together like my relationship with the Call of Duty franchise. To quote Gordon Ramsey, "DAMN! DAMN! DAMN! DAMN!"  All lame banter aside, Paul Heyman's promos before Goldberg's appearance was the only good thing throughout the entire show.  As far as how I feel about the idea of Goldberg facing Roman Reigns at the upcoming Elimination Chamber show, major Ls on this one.   Ricochet vs Ridge Holland.  Yay, the "one on one match that later turned into a tag match" cliche. The difference is t...
