WWE Smackdown Live 16/7/19 | My Coherent Review.

Not impressed with this week's episode of Smackdown Live. I'm gonna go as far as to say that show was bad for the most part. The story built-in throughout the show was something I don't care about.

Maybe my mind could change because I am a human being after all but I have no positives for Owens feuding with Shane McMahon.

Smackdown Town Hall.

After Shane McMahon "gave Kevin Owens the night off", the rest of the SmackDown roster were on the stage area for you guessed it, a Smackdown Live town hall. Roman Reigns grabbed the microphone and basically told him to kick his behind.

Charlotte Flair basically agreed with Shane McMahon's tactics to which Liv Morgan replied by saying that she wants the opportunity to be in the ring or something along those lines.

… but Liv Morgan cuts her off and challenges her to “stop being such a phony” and wonders if there’s anything real about her.

Shane then called out Buddy Murphy to say something and Murphy gave a warning to Owens that next time he mentions him, he's gonna beat Owens up (finally. After 3 months, he didn't wrestle but rather he actually said something. YAYYY!).

Buddy Murphy steps to the microphone, declares he doesn̢۪t need Kevin Owens to fight his battles and demands that KO keep his name out of his mouth.
Apollo Crews and The New Day showed up and they said what Owens said last week and that's Shane take opportunities for other superstars.

McMahon has ended that town hall meeting to which Cesaro came out to request a rematch against Aleister Black and Shane accepted that. Shane was smiling for some reason and Kevin Owens delivered him the stunner.

This had the potential to be a very good segment but the end result was a waste of time. The babyface superstars were basically saying the same thing that Owens said last week while the heel superstars said the exact opposite with the exception of Buddy Murphy I guess?

Again, not a fan of this segment and I wish WWE would give those guys some material to say something different.

Aleister Black vs Cesaro.

WWE Photo
This was a much shorter match for obvious reasons such as its on free TV and not on a PPV. Aleister Black won again with the black mass. Overall a decent match.

Charlotte Flair vs Liv Morgan.

WWE Photo
Liv Morgan comes out with Ruby Riott's music and she needs a theme song change ASAP considering that she's on different brand now (hahaha different brand. That's funny).

Charlotte Flair won the match with the figure eight. After the match, Liv took Corey Graves' headset and said that she'll be real. Don't know what that means but okay.

Ember Moon and Bayley vs Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.

WWE Photo
The match ended quickly with the eclipse to Rose and then, Bayley was asked by Kayla who's gonna face her for the championship?

Bayley looked at Ember Moon so know what that means? She just got a title opportunity like that and yes, I would prefer a number one contenders match or something but it's a different match. A fresh matchup that I could definitely get by.

Nakamura was asked by Sarah Schreiber about his title win and Ali looked at him and told him "good look". That's a match I don't know I wanted but now I do. Also, apparently R Truth and Carmella are going to the San Diego comic con. Wished I was in San Diego that weekend. That could be fun.

The New Day vs Randy Orton, Samoa Joe and Elias.

WWE Photo
Let's break the segment before this match happened, Daniel Bryan and Rowan showed up and left a couple of times and then finally left the arena. Samoa Joe, Randy Orton and Elias asked Kofi for a title match.

Elias then had an idea for a 6 man match between them and The New Day and Randy refused. Kofi basically called Randy a coward and Randy changed his mind. The match itself was okay.

Randy Orton pinned the WWE champion with the RKO. It looks like we're getting a championship match at SummerSlam I assume. Will see how they build this match up. By the way, where's this big career alternating announcement WWE? Where? Where? Where? Where?

Kabuki Warriors vs The IIconics for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship.

WWE Photo
The IIconics were on the outside and the ref was counting them to 10. The Australian duo decided not to enter the ring and just like that, they retained their championships which was a very smart move.

After the match was over and done with, The IIconics ate a beating from the Kabuki Warriors. Hoping that the titles change hands ASAP.

Apollo Crews vs Andrade.

WWE Photo
Crews won the match with the crucifix pin. That's it. I have no feeling about this.

Kevin Owens vs Dolph Ziggler.

WWE Photo
Was this match over in 3 seconds? Surprisingly, it wasn't. During the match, Shane McMahon came out with pretty much all of the heels in that roster and they were roaming around the ring to which Ziggler took that distraction from Owens and hits him with the zig-zag but Owens kicked out.

Kevin Owens delivers the stunner and Shane pulls him out of the ring and Owens hits him with the stunner and ran immediately from the rest of the roster. Now, what happened to the match? I don't know.

The match seemly ended like that. Maybe it was because Shane pulled Owens out of the ring and the ref called a quite DQ (yes, that's the only possible thing I could think of how the match has ended abruptly).  That ending left me high and dry like when somebody refuses to shake your hand.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos:

Like: Nothing.

Didn't like: The opening segment and the ending of this show, Where's Daniel Bryan's announcement?

WWE Extreme Rules 2019 | My Coherent Review.

Man, I'm impressed with WWE in terms of PPVs as of late because overall, this was a fantastic show in my opinion with great matches but the crowd was dead for most of the show so that sucks.  I finally watched the pre-show match between Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura before I went to bed because the show aired at 2 am where I live and it was okay.  By the way, how interesting is it when on last year’s Extreme Rules show, Shinsuke Nakamura won the United States championship and now this year’s show, he won the intercontinental title. Also, it's funny that the intercontinental championship was the main event on last's year show and on this year's Extreme Rules PPV, it's on the preshow.  Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns and The Undertaker.  Mike Rome did better in announcing "The Best In the world" this time than on RAW. Mike Rome's announcement a few weeks ago sounded like that one friend that thinks he/she knows how to ...

NXT Takeover: In Your House 2020 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover: In Your House is like the rest of the Takeover shows, a fantastic 2 hours of professional wrestling.  What makes this show special is the additional nostalgia like how the show started with the NXT WWF inspired intro, the ice cream commercial narrated by William Regal doing his best Lord Alferd Hayes impression, icopro commercial and last but not least, Todd Pettengill.  This is a show that I'm definitely rewatching in years to come.  Mia Yim, Tegan Nox And Shotzi Blackheart vs Raquel Gonzalez, Candice LeRae And Dakota Kai.  A decent opening match. During the match, Nox did a Molly Holly top rope on to every competitor in the match.  Yim tried to give LeRae some Seoul Food but LeRae reversed that into a suplex. Several minutes later, Shotzi did a Salida Del Sol of some sort on Gonzalez to which Nox delivered the shiniest wizard on Kai and won the match.  Finn Balor vs Damian Priest. I actually thought that the closing mo...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Holy Sh*t, The Revival Are All Elite, Matt Riddle vs Timothy Thatcher In A Unique Steel Cage Match.

Both shows had its weak points but overall, that was an enjoyable 4 hours of professional wrestling television. I personally liked AEW Dynamite this week.  From an awesome women's match with Shida and Christi Jaynes to The Revival showing up, AEW managed to give me a solid episode and successfully furthered their storylines to next week's exciting show.  NXT   Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Kushida vs Drake Maverick vs Jake Atlas. Triple Threat Match Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.  What a way to kick off this episode of NXT, am I right? Atlas delivered the rainbow DDT but Kushida broke Jake's pin.  Speaking of Kushida, he nailed the armbar submission, however, Drake pinned Atlas because Atlas' shoulders were on the mat and will meet El Hijo Del Fantasma for the finals next week.  I don't know if Drake is rehired or he's going to be rehired but Maverick has a big ta...
