WWE NXT 10/7/19 | My Coherent Review.

A very good edition of NXT TV and with the announcement of a few matches on next week's shows, it seems that we’re getting another good episode. You'll know what I mean by that if you read this review.

Io Shirai Addresses Her Beatdown To Candice LeRae 2 Weeks Ago.

WWE Photo
Io Shirai came out with new theme music which is a great choice made by the NXT management given that her older theme doesn't fit her darker evil persona (no shit, Omar).

Io Shirai basically said that she doesn't need a friend or anybody for that matter and slowly walked off. A segment that's short but a segment I can get by.

The Velveteen Dream Had A Press Conference Apparently.

The Dream was asked a number of different questions that includes about his next challenger for his North American championship. Cathy Kelly mentioned Roderick Strong calling Dream out so could we see Roderick Strong as The Velveteen Dream's next challenger?

I sure hope so. I also did find it funny when Velveteen Dream called Cathy Kelly as "Queen Cathy". Don't have a good reason as to why but it just did.

Damian Priest vs Blanco Loco.

WWE Photo
Blanco Loco lost this one to the Archer Of Infamy referring to Damian Priest of course with a running roundhouse kick of some sort.

Jordan Myles vs Boa. NXT Breakout Tournament.

WWE Photo
Jordan Myles was very impressive in this match up. Boa, however, showed his ruthless aggression *Vince McMahon voice* with a series of knee strikes but it didn't put Myles down because Jordan Myles won the match with the 450 splash. It was fine for what it was.

Shayna Baszler was asked about Mia Yim and Baszler said that Mia's story is generic and Baszler's story as champion will still move on.

Apollo Crews is coming back to NXT to face Kushida as well as Adam Cole's first title defence and that all happens next week on NXT. I'm calling it right now, next week's show is the greatest NXT episode of all time (I'm obviously joking but I hope that's the case though).

The Street Profits vs Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch for the NXT Tag Team Championship.

WWE Photo
This was a good one. Danny Burch at one point, delivered the crossface and Montez Ford broke that up with a kick on Burch's back which I rarely see a babyface (referring to Ford) do that so that's a plus for me.

The match ends with a vicious looking spinebuster from Angelo Dawkins and a frog splash from Montez Ford and The Street Profits retained the NXT tag team titles.

After the match, Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish came out and pointed the NXT titles from the stage area. Excellent *Mr. Burns' voice*.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos:

Like: The Street Profits vs Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch for the NXT Tag Team Championship.

Didn't like: Nothing.

Should Dave Meltzer Get Rid Of His Rating System?

So a few weeks ago, good old Dave Meltzer of the wrestling observer newsletter gave the Kazuchika Okada vs Kenny omega match at dominion 2018 a 7-star rating. According to the interent wrestling database , this match is by far his HIGHEST match rating ever (i don't blame him because the match was amazing). So statistically, this is his favourite match of all time . Now, why I'm writing this now?  Well, his best match ratings have been a consistent 5 stars since 1983 with the exception of all the Omega vs Okada matches and the Mitsuharu Misawa vs Toshiaki Kawada match at AJPW's Budokan hall show in June of 1994.  There are fans that take his match ratings as an offence somehow like "Why he rates X match better than Y match?" or thinks that he "hates" WWE which is ridiculous considering that he gave three WWE matches a 5 star ratings just this past year. One was the ladder match to crown the first ever NXT North American champion, the Johnny Garga...

WWE Smackdown Live 10/7/18 | My Coherent Review.

Smackdown live was a bad show that did nothing as a wrestling fan to gain any excitement for extreme rules. Why you ask? Well i'm gonna give you what's good. No scratch that, i'm gonna give you what's ok and what's bad. Here we go. WHAT'S OK The opening segment and the brawl after that The opening segment was meh. And the brawl after that was fine. Didn't make me go "OHHHHHHHHHHH" or anything like along those lines. That brawl leads to a TEN MAN TAG TEAM match (Ummmmmm no shit omar). I will say this, the segment kinda teased the fact that maybe kane will turn on his best friend? I don't know. Should be interesting.  Andrade "cien" almas vs Sin cara The match was surprisingly decent. At one point andrade delivered a devastating stomp to sin cara on the ring apron. Andrade wins with a running knee to sin cara on the middle rope. Hoping andrade can move on to bigger and better things.  WHAT'S BAD ...

WWE Smackdown Live 19/2/19 | My Coherent Review.

This show was overall, a skippable show just like RAW yesterday and here's why.  Opening segment.  The show kicked off with Shane McMahon with his usual cheap pop. After that, Shane McMahon announced that Aleister Black, Johnny Gargano, Ricochet and Tommaso Ciampa will be on SmackDown Live just like RAW last night (click here to read my RAW review).  Out came The Miz and he said that he hasn't stop thinking about their match at Elimination Chamber. Miz also said he admitted that he used Shane because Miz wanted to make Shane McMahon understand where's Miz's coming from.  Miz then wanted a rematch between him, Shane McMahon and the Usos for the SmackDown Live tag team championship to which the Usos came out and insulted The Miz.  That led to Shane McMahon saying that the rematch is on but at Fastlane in two weeks. So we got the first official match scheduled for Fastlane and considering that Shane is a McMahon and has all the Authority, I do...
