WWE RAW 13/5/19 | My Coherent Review.

For a go home show, this was pretty disappointing to put it lightly given that the RAW before Wrestlemania was actually pretty good but then again, the RAW and Smackdown that happens overseas are not great.

Miz TV. Special Guest, Roman Reigns.

WWE Photo
This show started off with you guess it, Miz TV. After that, Miz talks about Money In The Bank and his match with Shane McMahon. He then introduced the big dog himself, Roman Reigns and Miz asked him that what can he expect from the big dog at Money In The Bank?

Roman Reigns answered by saying that Elias hasn't won any championship and he's gonna bring the big fight (nice play with words, Roman). The Miz suggested Roman that they should do a buddy cop movie considering that they're both movie actors now.

Roman Reigns replied by saying that this is the old Miz talking to which Miz countered that with a passionate promo about how he's gonna beat Shane McMahon in a steel cage.

Speaking of the devil, out came Shane McMahon and he said that this iteration of Miz TV is over which led to Bobby Lashley and Elias beating up both Miz and Reigns. Shane McMahon ended the segment with him setting up a tag team match between Roman Reigns and The Miz vs Elias and Bobby Lashley as the first match of this show.

Decent segment but by far the best thing about this segment is Miz himself. Also, God damn the ramp in the O2 arena is so long that it looks like it could host a Royal Rumble PPV which now thinking about it, a Royal Rumble show in the UK sounds very intriguing.

Roman Reigns and The Miz vs Bobby Lashley and Elias.

WWE Photo
The match ended with a DQ because Shane got involved and they put a mugging on Miz and Reigns but The Miz came back with a steel chair shot on Lashley and Elias to which Roman's hits Shane’s new posse with a superman punch to Elias and Bobby Lashley. Meh.

Backstage Interview with Charly Caruso and she asked Braun Strowman if he regrets his actions from last week? Braun Strowman said no and somebody that works in the production team told Braun Strowman that Shane McMahon calls him. Shane McMahon was with Sami Zayn and when Braun showed up, McMahon made a falls count anywhere match and if Sami wins then he replaces Braun's Money In The Bank ladder match spot. Should be great right?

Mojo Rawley vs Apollo Crews.

WWE Photo
Mojo won the match with an Alabama Slam. Hope they stay consistent with Mojo Rawley’s momentum this time.

A backstage segment happened in which Alexa Bliss was calling someone about her lost luggage until a sane, calm Nikki Cross showed up and told her that Alexa can talk to her about anything. Cross then suggested that she could replace Alexa Bliss’s spot in the fatal four-way match. Alexa then accepted it and thanked her. I have to say, a not crazy Nikki Cross is so odd to watch on TV bruh.

Becky Lynch vs Lacey Evans and Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair Contract Signing.

WWE Photo
Michael Cole moderates the contract signing apparently and he introduced the challengers and the champion. Cole asked Becky Lynch about if she realizes how her matches with Lacey Evans and Charlotte Flair will be gruelling for the champ, champ?

After her great cheap pop, she answered the question by saying that she doesn't care and told Evans to ask her “twin sister” how hard it is to beat Lynch. Charlotte Flair chimed in and said that Becky's is in a situation where Becky can't win. Lacey Evans then said that it's a contract signing and not a fight in a bar with crowd chants of “who are ya?” to Evans obviously.

Becky Lynch then said that Lacy Evans can't afford to lose her first championship match while Charlotte can't afford to lose her millionth and proceeded to sign the contract while Charlotte and Lacey Evans did the same thing. No shocker, a brawl happened between Becky Lynch and Lacey Evans to which Charlotte put Becky down with the big boot.

I will say this, Lacey carried herself pretty well in this segment and in a few months from now, I don't mind the Sassy Southern Bell as the classful champion as she would like to put it.

Ricochet vs Baron Corbin.

WWE Photo
This was a decent match. Baron Corbin won the match with one of the best finishing moves in WWE, the end of days. After the match, Baron Corbin brought up a ladder, set it up and climbed the ladder until Ricochet pushed him onto the outside.

A locker room interview happened and Charly Caruso asked Rey about what Samoa Joe said to Rey’s son last week. Rey replied by saying that Joe should've said it to his face that until Cesaro came out and disrespected Rey to which a brawl happened.

Another backstage interview where AJ was asked about his methods and Styles answered by simply saying that he's gonna win the Universal champion this Sunday at Money In The Bank.

Naomi vs Natalya vs Nikki Cross vs Dana Brooke.

WWE Photo
Look, it's great that Nikki Cross won this match with a neckbreaker however, I feel like it will benefit a lot if Dana Brooke instead won this match but that's just me.

Rey Mysterio vs Cesaro.

WWE Photo
This was a decent match actually. At one point during the match, Cesaro did a suplex on the middle rope which looked impressive. The match ended with a 619 to Cesaro and won the match.

After that, The Revival cut a promo basically saying that the embarrassment has to end. Oh, I hope it does.

The latest instalment of the firefly fun house is here and in it, Bray Wyatt told the world “you wanna see my secret?” to which Bray transformed himself into something that mixes scarecrow and the joker in the Batman comics. In other words, it was creepy but I like it.

Braun Strowman vs Sami Zayn. Falls Count Anywhere match.

WWE Photo
Braun basically dominated this match until Baron Corbin came out and beat him with a trash can or a dustbin if you're English (also fitting considering that this episode took place in London) and at one point, put the Monster among men through a table.

Minutes later, Drew McIntyre came out to beat Strowman and then Strowman pushed McIntyre through a monitor. As Braun Strowman pushes Sami Zayn on the stage area, Baron Corbin and Drew McIntyre suplexes Braun Strowman through a ladder and a claymore kick to Strowman which led to Sami Zayn winning this match.

This actually makes given that they in Corbin and McIntyre wants to get rid of the biggest threat in this match and the last time Braun Strowman was in a Money In The Bank ladder match, he won the whole thing so I'm not mad at this finish.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos:

Like: Lacey Evans carrying herself pretty well in the contract signing segment.

Didn't like: Nikki Cross was out of character in that backstage segment with Alexa Bliss.

WWE Extreme Rules 2019 | My Coherent Review.

Man, I'm impressed with WWE in terms of PPVs as of late because overall, this was a fantastic show in my opinion with great matches but the crowd was dead for most of the show so that sucks.  I finally watched the pre-show match between Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura before I went to bed because the show aired at 2 am where I live and it was okay.  By the way, how interesting is it when on last year’s Extreme Rules show, Shinsuke Nakamura won the United States championship and now this year’s show, he won the intercontinental title. Also, it's funny that the intercontinental championship was the main event on last's year show and on this year's Extreme Rules PPV, it's on the preshow.  Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns and The Undertaker.  Mike Rome did better in announcing "The Best In the world" this time than on RAW. Mike Rome's announcement a few weeks ago sounded like that one friend that thinks he/she knows how to ...

NXT Takeover: In Your House 2020 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover: In Your House is like the rest of the Takeover shows, a fantastic 2 hours of professional wrestling.  What makes this show special is the additional nostalgia like how the show started with the NXT WWF inspired intro, the ice cream commercial narrated by William Regal doing his best Lord Alferd Hayes impression, icopro commercial and last but not least, Todd Pettengill.  This is a show that I'm definitely rewatching in years to come.  Mia Yim, Tegan Nox And Shotzi Blackheart vs Raquel Gonzalez, Candice LeRae And Dakota Kai.  A decent opening match. During the match, Nox did a Molly Holly top rope on to every competitor in the match.  Yim tried to give LeRae some Seoul Food but LeRae reversed that into a suplex. Several minutes later, Shotzi did a Salida Del Sol of some sort on Gonzalez to which Nox delivered the shiniest wizard on Kai and won the match.  Finn Balor vs Damian Priest. I actually thought that the closing mo...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Holy Sh*t, The Revival Are All Elite, Matt Riddle vs Timothy Thatcher In A Unique Steel Cage Match.

Both shows had its weak points but overall, that was an enjoyable 4 hours of professional wrestling television. I personally liked AEW Dynamite this week.  From an awesome women's match with Shida and Christi Jaynes to The Revival showing up, AEW managed to give me a solid episode and successfully furthered their storylines to next week's exciting show.  NXT   Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Kushida vs Drake Maverick vs Jake Atlas. Triple Threat Match Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.  What a way to kick off this episode of NXT, am I right? Atlas delivered the rainbow DDT but Kushida broke Jake's pin.  Speaking of Kushida, he nailed the armbar submission, however, Drake pinned Atlas because Atlas' shoulders were on the mat and will meet El Hijo Del Fantasma for the finals next week.  I don't know if Drake is rehired or he's going to be rehired but Maverick has a big ta...
