WWE Money In The Bank 2019 | My Coherent Review.

Okay. This was overall a very good show but with its problems obviously and God damn, this show was a bit longer than it needed to be. Oh, and I didn’t watch the preshow so I can't talk about it in detail. All you need to know is that The Usos won the tag team match with Daniel Bryan and Rowan.

Naomi vs Natalya vs Nikki Cross vs Dana Brooke vs Carmella vs Mandy Rose vs Ember Moon vs Bayley. Women's Money In The Bank ladder match.

WWE Photo

First off, nice ring gear from Naomi that was inspired by a DC comic book character named Karen Beecher aka Bumblebee. Earlier in the match, Nikki Cross put all of the competitors in that match down with a ladder.

Minutes later, Mandy Rose hits Carmella in her knee with the help of the ladder which made Carmella pissed off at Mandy which looked like they had real animosity but it wasn't. Then, Ember Moon delivered the eclipse to Natalya from the ladder that was set up on the outside.

The match ended with Bayley pushing Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville from the top of the ladder because Sonya was helping Rose to climb the ladder. Bayley then grabbed the briefcase and won the match.

This was a good opener and I wasn't lying in my predictions post (which you can click here to read the whole thing) that it's gonna be an unpredictable match. Is Bayley gonna cash in her opportunity like how Braun Strowman cash in his opportunity last year? We shall see.

Rey Mysterio vs Samoa Joe for the United States championship.

WWE Photo

This was a quick one. Rey Mysterio won the US championship for the first time ever with a roll-up but Samoa Joe’s shoulder was off the mat. Do you know what that means? Samoa Joe came back and beat the holy hell outta Rey Mysterio.

I'm not gonna complain about the finish because Rey could bring a sense of prestige back to the United States championship. Not that Samoa Joe can't do that if given the opportunity but his reign was lacklustre, to say the least. Do you know what's also lacklustre? The match itself.

The Miz vs Shane McMahon. Steel Cage match.

WWE Photo

The match started off with Miz hitting a series of kicks to Shane. Minutes after that, Shane McMahon hits Miz with a reverse fireman's carry into a neckbreaker which looked impressive.

Then, Miz hits McMahon with steel chair shots on Shane’s back which led to Miz delivering the skull crushing finale on the chair and Shane grabbed the rope to break up the pin which I'm gonna praise Cole for his call in this about how they're no pin breakups in a steel cage match and he's right in this.

The match ended with Miz looking for a suplex from the top of the cage but Shane escaped the cage with a slip up from Miz and just like that, Shane McMahon won the match. Well, this feud is not gonna end and you know what? So is my enjoyment for this.

Tony Nese vs Ariya Daivari for the WWE Cruiserweight championship.

WWE Photo

During the match, Nese hits Ariya with a great looking spinning heel kick. The match ended with Nese hits a running knee strike to Davari on the middle rope. Decent match but I was disappointed just a bit considering that they're capable of more.

Forgot to mention that there were backstage segments in which Braun Strowman was looking for Sami Zayn. After the steel cage match, Sami Zayn was hung upside down and When Triple H confronts Strowman about this, Braun said that he didn't do it. Interesting.

Also, Mick Foley is coming to RAW tomorrow night to announce a new WWE title. As if the roster needs another title to fight for.

Becky Lynch vs Lacey Evans for the RAW Women's championship.

WWE Photo

Lacey Evans’ ring gear inspired by I'm assuming Lara Croft of the Tomb Raider video game franchise? Anyways, the match was pretty decent. Lacey Evans was going for a roll-up after she hit a chop block but Becky reversed that into a disarmher and won the match. One down, one to go.

Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Live Women's championship.

WWE Photo

This match was obviously a lot shorter than the match before this. Lacey Evans came out and sucker punched Becky which led to Becky pinning Charlotte with the small package but the queen kicked out.

The match ended with Charlotte hitting a big boot to the fighting champ and won the championship for the 9th time.

After the match, Becky put her frustrations on Lacey Evans by beating her up but Charlotte assisted Evans with a beating, turning into a 2 on 1 mugging until Bayley came out to make the save by knocking out Charlotte cold.

WWE Photo

Bayley then cashed in her Money In The Bank contract, delivered the elbow drop to Charlotte and became SmackDown Live women's champion. I don't know who told the higher-ups over at WWE that she needed a push but I'm glad this happened. What a win. Congratulations to Bayley.

Roman Reigns vs Elias.

WWE Photo

Before this match happened, Elias hits Roman with a guitar backstage. Elias then walked out to the ring with a guitar and conducted an Elias concert.

After Elias was about to leave the ring, Roman Reigns hits Elias with a superman punch and when the match began, Roman hits Elias with the spear and won this match. Well, that was a waste of time.

Seth Rollins vs AJ Styles for the Universal Championship.

WWE Photo

This was a very good match guys. At one point during the match, Seth was going for a curb stomp but Styles reversed it into a calf crusher and then, Styles did a beautiful reverse DDT from the middle rope.

Seth tried to deliver the stomp again but Styles turned that into a styles clash and Seth obviously kicked out. Seth Rollins finally hits Styles with the stomp and won the match. After the match, AJ offered Rollins to shake Seth’s hands and Seth accepted the offer.

Lars Sullivan vs The Lucha House Party?

WWE Photo

I put the question mark after Lucha House Party because Lars Sullivan came out and destroyed the tag team and I wasn't sure if Lars was supposed to face them or not.

Kofi Kingston vs Kevin Owens for the WWE championship.

WWE Photo

During the match, Kofi hits Owens with a double stomp on the ring apron and minutes later, Kofi was going for a splash until Owens hits him with a superkick.

Then, Kevin Owens delivered Kofi with a stunner but the champion kicked out. The match ended with a trouble in paradise to Owens and Kofi retains the WWE title.

Ricochet vs Baron Corbin vs Drew McIntyre vs Ali vs Randy Orton vs Andrade vs Finn Balor. Men's Money In The Bank ladder match.

WWE Photo

The match started off with chaos but that's to expected in those types of matches. Minutes later, Randy was climbing on the ladder but Andrade used his legs to push Randy off the ladder which looked impressive. After that, Baron Corbin threw Ali on the ladder and Drew McIntyre threw Ricochet on the ladder as well.

Then, Andrade delivered a sunset flip to Finn Balor from the top of the ladder to another ladder set up between the middle part of the ladder and the middle rope and minutes later, Ali did a Spanish fly to Andrade from the middle part of the ladder.

Baron Corbin delivered Ali a chokeslam on the Spanish announce table and also delivered a chokeslam to Balor on the ladder. Drew then delivered Finn Balor a suplex on the ladder to which moments later, Drew hits Andrade with a reverse Alabama slam onto Finn Balor. McIntyre threw Ricochet onto the outside through a ladder.

Ali was about to grab the briefcase but Out came Brock Lesnar and he pushed Ali to the outside. He then grabbed the briefcase and became Mr Money In The Bank. I'm shocked by that finish but it also made Ali look like an idiot considering that he should've grabbed the thing no matter who's coming out. Like is an entrance for a pro wrestler has magic powers of some sort to distract a wrestler while he or she is wrestling? Maybe. I'm not gonna jump on the hate train for the ending just yet because I wanna see what WWE does with it next.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos:

Like: Both Money In The Bank ladder matches, Bayley cashing in to become SmackDown Live women's champion, Seth Rollins vs AJ Styles for the Universal Championship, Lars Sullivan beating up some guys.

Didn't like: Roman Reigns vs Elias, the storyline on who beat up Sami Zayn wasn't resolve but we shall wait for RAW tomorrow night, Mysterio vs Joe.

My Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Chris Jericho Offers Moxley To Join Inner Circle, The Go-Home Show Before Dec 18th.

I thought the middle act of AEW Dynamite suffered some pacing issues even though it was overall a much stronger show than last week's episode.  The latest episode of NXT, however, has built a solid foundation on what's to come on December 18th. The main question is, which show do I like better? The answer is AEW.  NXT  Highlights. Angel Garza vs Lio Rush For The NXT Cruiserweight Championship.  Was this match better than their first encounter? Like Snoop Dogg's verse in Sasha Banks' theme song, "Hell yea". Garza slams Rush hard on the ring apron by pushing the champ. Moments later, Garza delivers the Spanish Fly and Rush kicked out of that.  As Rush hits the frog splash, the champ wanted to pull him back in the middle of the ring but instead, he ripped off Garza's pants (nice attention to detail).  Angel then hits the wind clipper but Lio kicked out which led to a wind clipper submission and the man of the hour tapped out which m...

The 5 News Week: An Interview With ROH's Eli Isom, Fans Singing Petitions For Charlotte Flair Not Winning Titles Anymore!?

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week. An Interview With ROH's Eli Isom.  Yes. After several and several and several of The 5 News Week articles that I've been putting out since late 2018, I finally got an interview for you guys.  The person in question is Ring Of Honour's Eli Isom. Since graduating from the ROH Dojo, Isom has worked and learned from the absolute best in the industry:  "I’m lucky that I got a chance to train from scratch with ROH, without that kind of training who knows where I’d be right now." So, without further ado, here is the conversation I had with Eli.  Omar: My first question is, how would you describe the persona of "Eli Isom" to resident WWE shills like myself? Eli Isom: For me, my wrestling persona isn’t too far off from who I real...

A Brief Guide To Pro Wrestling Websites.

So. You just become a fan of pro wrestling and have dabbled into the fandom for a bit (it's a mess ain't it?) You've just followed some news sites' social media platforms but aren't sure whether the articles they put out are accurate or not.  Well, you got the right guy to solve that problem if it's from a blog that barely gets any traction (that would be me in case you were confused).  The news we get from the medium that is pro wrestling is an integral part of the online space.  The reason being is that it's not only a great conversation starter but you could also learn something new today about the industry you love.  That doesn't mean that all of the news you see on the timeline is reliable.  I'm here to hopefully give you a guide to wrestling sites.  There are many wrestling websites out there but I wanna highlight some of the notable ones.  Okay? Here we go.  #1: Wrestling Observer Newsletter aka F4WOnline.  I can't talk about a guide t...
