WWE Fastlane 2019 | My Coherent Review.

Gotta be honest, this show overall was average at best. Didn’t do all that much in terms of building hype for Wrestlemania 35 but in anything, there are exceptions of course. I'm not gonna talk about the pre-show match between The New Day, Rusev and Nakamura simply because I haven't seen it. Here we go.

The Miz and Shane McMahon vs The Usos for the SmackDown Live Tag Team Championship.

WWE Photo
Minutes after the match started, the crowd at one point chanted “this is awesome” which was rather odd. That coast to coast by Shane McMahon to Jey Uso deserved a holy shit moment. The match ended with Miz hitting a frog splash and Jey Uso reversed that into a small package and won the match. A very good tag team match overall. After the match, Shane McMahon turned on the Miz by beating the crap outta Miz. I saw this coming from a mile away (get it? Mile? Fastlane?).

What's next for The Usos? Well, I would love to see a Usos vs The Hardy Boyz match at Wrestlemania but a man can only dream.

After the trio in Drew, Lashley and Corbin cut a promo similar to when The Shield used to do it, Elias had a concert basically shitting on Cleveland like every other city he goes to.

Asuka vs Mandy Rose for the SmackDown Live Women's Championship.

WWE Photo

I would describe this as bland. Asuka won the match with the spinning kick to Mandy Rose.

Kofi Kingston vs The Bar. 2 on 1 Handicap Match.

WWE Photo
Okay. So, originally Kofi was supposed to be in the WWE championship match making it a triple threat match because Vince McMahon made that decision. But then, because of Vince McMahon, he randomly made an impromptu Handicap match between Kofi Kingston and The Bar. Shocker, The Bar won the match. I hope somehow, someway this is leading to Vince McMahon leaving WWE considering that storyline wise he changes his minds on things for instance how he removed Becky out of the RAW women's championship and removed Kofi out of the WWE championship.

Oh and there's another Elias Concert which is rare. Basically, in it, Elias was shitting on Kofi and the Cleveland, Ohio crowd once again. *sigh*.

Aleister Black and Ricochet vs Roode and Gable vs The Revival for the RAW Tag team championship.

WWE Photo

This is a fun match, to be honest. After The Revival retained their championship with the shatter machine, the remaining teams in the match collectively hit their finishers except for Chad Gable. Well, that was odd.

R Truth vs Andrade vs Samoa Joe vs Rey Mysterio for the United States championship.

WWE Photo

This was a decent match actually. Samoa Joe retained his championship with the Kokina clutch to Rey Mysterio but Mysterio didn't tap out which is interesting. For the first time in God knows how long, I'm actually curious as to where the United States championship goes from here.

Sasha Banks and Bayley vs Nia Jax and Tamina for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship.

WWE Photo

This match almost put to sleep. Bayley and Sasha Banks won the match with a sunset pin from Bayley to Nia Jax. After the match, Nia Jax and Tamina assaulted the women's champion and the commentator for this match Beth Phoenix which led to Natalya failing to save her best friend from a beatdown.

Daniel Bryan vs Kevin Owens vs Mustafa Ali for the WWE championship.

WWE Photo

Obviously, Mustafa Ali is the last minute replacement for Kofi Kingston. Anyway, the match was very good. That Spanish fly delivered by Mustafa Ali will never disappoint me. Daniel Bryan won the match with the running knee. Will see how WWE writes Kofi Kingston in the WWE championship scene.

Charlotte Flair vs Becky Lynch. If Becky wins, She's added to the RAW Women's championship match At Wrestlemania.

WWE Photo

During the match, Ronda Rousey came out to attack Becky Lynch which made Becky Lynch The winner of this match via DQ and Becky Lynch is officially added into the RAW Women's championship. Match itself was okay I guess. I'm excited for this match man. Can Wrestlemania come any closer?

Hey, another Elias Concert and guess what he does? He once again verbally craps on the crowd. Oh and Lacy Evans comes and goes as usual. But at least that led to an RKO to Elias and AJ Styles came out to deliver The Phenomenal forearm on to Randy Orton. So the feud between Randy and Styles is officially a thing. When do you think they're gonna make the match official?

The Shield vs Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley.

WWE Photo

This surprisingly was a decent main event. During the match, Rollins jumped from the top of the Fastlane pre-show panel on to Lashley and Drew McIntyre. The match ended with The Shield hitting their signature triple powerbomb and won the match. The whole build for this is about a person wanting to reunite with his friends and that's great storytelling.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos:

Like:  The Miz and Shane McMahon vs The Usos for the SmackDown Live Tag Team Championship, Aleister Black and Ricochet vs Roode and Gable vs The Revival for the RAW Tag team championship, Daniel Bryan vs Kevin Owens vs Mustafa Ali for the WWE championship.

Didn't like: Elias' concerts (all three of them), Asuka vs Mandy Rose for the Smackdown Live Women's Championship, Sasha Banks and Bayley vs Nia Jax and Tamina for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship.

WWE Extreme Rules 2019 | My Coherent Review.

Man, I'm impressed with WWE in terms of PPVs as of late because overall, this was a fantastic show in my opinion with great matches but the crowd was dead for most of the show so that sucks.  I finally watched the pre-show match between Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura before I went to bed because the show aired at 2 am where I live and it was okay.  By the way, how interesting is it when on last year’s Extreme Rules show, Shinsuke Nakamura won the United States championship and now this year’s show, he won the intercontinental title. Also, it's funny that the intercontinental championship was the main event on last's year show and on this year's Extreme Rules PPV, it's on the preshow.  Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns and The Undertaker.  Mike Rome did better in announcing "The Best In the world" this time than on RAW. Mike Rome's announcement a few weeks ago sounded like that one friend that thinks he/she knows how to ...

NXT Takeover: In Your House 2020 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover: In Your House is like the rest of the Takeover shows, a fantastic 2 hours of professional wrestling.  What makes this show special is the additional nostalgia like how the show started with the NXT WWF inspired intro, the ice cream commercial narrated by William Regal doing his best Lord Alferd Hayes impression, icopro commercial and last but not least, Todd Pettengill.  This is a show that I'm definitely rewatching in years to come.  Mia Yim, Tegan Nox And Shotzi Blackheart vs Raquel Gonzalez, Candice LeRae And Dakota Kai.  A decent opening match. During the match, Nox did a Molly Holly top rope on to every competitor in the match.  Yim tried to give LeRae some Seoul Food but LeRae reversed that into a suplex. Several minutes later, Shotzi did a Salida Del Sol of some sort on Gonzalez to which Nox delivered the shiniest wizard on Kai and won the match.  Finn Balor vs Damian Priest. I actually thought that the closing mo...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Holy Sh*t, The Revival Are All Elite, Matt Riddle vs Timothy Thatcher In A Unique Steel Cage Match.

Both shows had its weak points but overall, that was an enjoyable 4 hours of professional wrestling television. I personally liked AEW Dynamite this week.  From an awesome women's match with Shida and Christi Jaynes to The Revival showing up, AEW managed to give me a solid episode and successfully furthered their storylines to next week's exciting show.  NXT   Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Kushida vs Drake Maverick vs Jake Atlas. Triple Threat Match Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.  What a way to kick off this episode of NXT, am I right? Atlas delivered the rainbow DDT but Kushida broke Jake's pin.  Speaking of Kushida, he nailed the armbar submission, however, Drake pinned Atlas because Atlas' shoulders were on the mat and will meet El Hijo Del Fantasma for the finals next week.  I don't know if Drake is rehired or he's going to be rehired but Maverick has a big ta...
