WWE NXT 27/2/19 | My Coherent Review.

This is a great example of how the length time of NXT is too short because this show honestly was great and I do expect NXT to top this show because it's NXT and they know what they're doing.

Opening Segment.

The gold standard of pro wrestling aka NXT kicked off with the former North American champion Johnny Gargano coming out to the ring.

Johnny Gargano grabbed a microphone and he said that his match with the Velveteen Dream was one of his toughest. Johnny also said that he feels like Johnny champion with no championship on his waist.

Out came his former arch-enemy, Tommaso Ciampa and he said that the both of them as a duo are unstoppable and how they need each other. After that, Tommaso Ciampa offered Johnny Gargano to team up with him in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic to which Johnny Gargano accepted.

Short segment but to the point and it gives some direction to this storyline. This Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic hasn't been that star-studded probably since Finn Balor was in that tournament back in late 2015.

After that, Cathy Kelly interviewed Ricochet about how he has unfinished business with Undisputed Era and he's going to talk to William Regal so that he could put himself and Aleister Black in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament.

Aliyah and Vanessa Bourne vs Taynara Conti and Xia Li.

Man, those spinning kicks to Aliyah from Li were executed to perfection but Unfortunately, Xia Li wasn't able to win this match because the team of Aliyah and Vanessa Bourne won the match with a double team spinning neckbreaker to Xia Li. I'm liking this side of Aliyah week by week and I hope that she's utilized to her big potential.

After that, there were two separate segments played back to back between Velveteen Dream, The Undisputed Era, Io Shirai and Bianca Belair and what's the similarity? Well, they all disagreed with each other about a championship opportunity.

Dominic Djakovic vs Keith Lee.

WWE Photo
During the match, Djakovic did a great looking sitout chokeslam to a near fall. This match ended with a double count out. Creative, GIVE ME A REMATCH NOW!!

The final 4 teams competing in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament are, Ricochet and Aleister Black, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch, #DIY and NXT UK’s Moustache Mountain.

Sasha Banks and Bayley Talks about the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship.

The Boss n’ Hug connection came out with a standing ovation from the full sail crowd. They cut a promo basically saying that they are looking out for competition on RAW, Smackdown Live and NXT. Another short segment and they didn't say anything noteworthy but it's nice to see those young ladies back in nxt.

Mia Yim vs Shayna Baszler.

WWE Photo
Shayna Baszler in this match was aiming at Mia Yim's leg considering that Yim is known for her knee strikes and I'm loving it. Great storytelling being told in this match. Shayna Baszler won the match with the clutch submission. Even in defeat, Mia Yim looked great in this and I do see her in Women's championship contention very soon. In other words, NXT did a great job at showcasing who Mia Yim is as a wrestler. Overall a very good match.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos:

Like: Opening Segment, Mia Yim vs Shayna Baszler, Sasha Banks and Bayley Talks about the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship, Dominic Djakovic vs Keith Lee.

Didn't like: Nothing.

After several and several and several of The 5 News Week articles that I've been putting out since late 2018, I finally got an interview for you guys.  The person in question is Ring Of Honour's Eli Isom. Since graduating from the ROH Dojo, Isom has worked and learned from the absolute best in the industry:  "I’m lucky that I got a chance to train from scratch with ROH, without that kind of training who knows where I’d be right now." So, without further ado, here is the conversation I had with Eli.  Omar: My first question is, how would you describe the persona of "Eli Isom" to resident WWE shills like myself? Eli Isom: For me, my wrestling persona isn’t too far off from who I real...

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week.  Wrestlemania 36 To Lose Over $20 Million!? The entertainment industry could lose over $20 billion dollars and WWE is one of those entities especially pertaining Wrestlemania and it's business.  From Wrestlenomics , The host of the show, Brandon Thruston dives into WWE financials yet again (because that's the theme of the show duh?) and finds out that this year's Wrestlemania could lose around $20 million. Here's what the host Brandon Thurston had to say regarding the situation (that episode is a week old so excuse the outdated saying):  "Let's say the 65,000 paid at an average ticket price so let's go with last year's average ticket price...

The 5 News Week: What's With The Story Of WWE Will Possibly Put Their Content On A Different OTT?

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately.  This past week was filled with news so  fasten your virtual seat belts because this is gonna be a long one. Without further ado, here are The 5 News Week.  What's With The Story That WWE Will Possibly Put Their Content On A Different OTT?  This confusion all started when some fans (including myself) saw the headline from a well-respected publication "WWE In Talks Talks to Sell PPV Rights to Another ‘Major’ Streaming Service." That publication is The Wrap and the article pretty much talked about what Vinne Mac said in the Q4 2019 earnings report about the possibility of putting their content to a major streaming service or enhance the prize point to a tiered payment but the deal to quote The Wrap " if made — would be announced by next month.". Did the old man say this? Let...
