WWE NXT 20/2/19 | My Coherent Review.

This episode of NXT TV was okay overall with a great main event and here's why.

Aleister Black vs Roderick Strong.

This show kicked off with a decent match. Aleister Black won the match with the black mass to Strong. After the match, the rest of the Undisputed Era came out with a 2 on 1 assault to Black. That led to Ricochet coming out to Aleister’s rescue.

After that, a backstage segment happened where Shayna Baszler and her gang were arguing with half of the women's division in the locker room.

This announcement has me excited because the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament is coming back in two weeks. The first 4 teams that are competing in this tournament on NXT TV two weeks from now are The Forgotten Sons, Undisputed Era, Street Profits and the team of Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel. The final 4 teams will be announced next week on NXT.

Mia Yim vs Xia Li.

Not a fan of this match to be honest. It's not terrible but it was boring. After Mia Yim wins this match with Seoul food (or Protect Ya Neck), Shayna and the gang rushed to the ring with a beatdown. The women's division came out to save Mia Yim but they got their backside kicked by her gang. This is a way for keeping Shayna Baszler busy with a short feud while Bianca Belair and Io Shirai are feuding so I don't mind the ending based on that situation.

Minutes after that, a backstage interaction between former DIY buddies and Johnny Gargano wife, Candice  LeRae which is rather intriguing.

Johnny Gargano vs Velveteen Dream for the NXT North American Championship.

Before the match started, somebody in the crowd tore the Johnny Gargano sign in front of him and Gargano didn't see it which made me laugh. Nevertheless, this was a fantastic bout between those two. Velveteen Dream won the match with the purple rainmaker so in other words, Velveteen Dream is the New North American champion. Congratulations to the D-R-E-A-M is.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos:

Like: the Main event.

Didn't like: Mia Yim vs Xia Li.

Top 7 Best TV Wrestling Matches Of 2020.

2020 was to quote the 5 News Week Look Back article , "eventful, awful, wild and surprisingly quick."  That doesn't mean there weren't some good wrestling to watch on television so here it is.  My and I repeat MY top 5 best TV matches of 2020. some images via WWE.com #7 Cody Rhodes vs Darby Allin. AEW TNT Championship Semi-Finals Bout.  This list includes two matches that starred two people with fantastic chemistry. One of them is this gem of an encounter between Cody Rhodes and Darby Allin. All elite wrestling has introduced a brand new championship for the mid-card and was contested via a good old fashioned tournament.  The matches were fine but one of them stood out amongst the rest.  That, of course, being the Cody Rhodes vs Darby Allin bout at the tournament's semi-finals.  Allin actually pulled off a crossrhodes that looked so good that I don't mind him adding it to his arsenal.   The finish was executed a bit poorly which is why it is lower...

WWE Smackdown 25/10/19 | My Coherent Review.

Another disappointing episode of Friday night Smackdown but it was a bit better this week. Still, a meh episode.  Miz TV. Special Guest, Team Hulk Hogan And Team Ric Flair.  Both team Hulk Hogan and team Flair were guests on the latest edition of Miz TV or at least most of it due to a brand split. Hulk Hogan mentioned in his promo that he's put out the greatest team Hulkamania of all time (are the mega powers and Brutus Beefcake a joke to you brother?)  Ric Flair replied by basically saying that his team will beat Hogan's team at Crown Jewel. Sami Zayn made a short joke and Gable tells Zayn that he embraces who he is.  Roman Reigns called King Corbin stupid to which Hogan proposed a match in the main event of this episode between most of team Hogan vs most of team Flair in a 6 man tag team match.  Sami on behalf of the team, refused to accept that but after Hogan said something to Nakamura in Japanese, Sami told Hogan that the 6 man tag ma...
