WWE Smackdown Live 15/1/19 | My Coherent Review.

Smackdown Live was besides one match, was a skippable show and here's why.

Opening Segment.

The Empress of Tomorrow claims that Becky will be in Asuka̢۪s shadow after Royal Rumble.
Basically SmackDown Live started off with Becky was backstage and drank whatever the hell Otis made in the blender. She then was in the ring and Becky said being the man is not easy. Becky also said that she delivered everything she said and how Asuka hasn't beaten Charlotte before.

Out came Asuka and she said that Becky only talks and Becky is like a bee that hasn't stung. Asuka ended the promo by saying that come Royal Rumble Becky is in her ring. Out came the Australian duo and they said that a champion shouldn't be intimidating but instead should be treated with class.

They also said that they're gonna win the GORGEOUS looking women's tag teams titles and win the women's Royal Rumble match. Becky Lynch challenged one of the IIconics and Peyton Royce answered the challenge. This was compared to RAW’s opening segment, was so much better in terms of length.

Becky Lynch vs Peyton Royce.

This match was used to further build this storyline between Asuka and Becky and turns out I'm right (No shit, Omar). Becky Lynch won the match with the disarmher. After the match, Asuka spoke Japanese with anger in her eyes and challenged Billie Kay to which she accepted that ended quickly with Asuka delivered the Asuka lock to Billie Kay.

AJ Styles goes to the concession stand.

WWE Photo
Styles was at the concession stand and basically did the opposite of what Daniel Bryan did last week. Out came Daniel Bryan and both of those men brawled until the officials separated them.

Also happened backstage, Mandy sends a flirting message to Jimmy's Uso. Uh oh.

Mustafa Ali vs Samoa Joe.

WWE Photo
The match hasn't even started yet because, during Alias entrance, Samoa Joe absolutely beat the crap outta Mustafa Ali.

Rey Mysterio vs Andrade (Cien Almas).

First off, WWE are I’m assuming getting rid of his last two names which it was whatever. Secondly, Their match late last year was amazing but was it any better? Too early to say but this was a great match.  Too many great highlights from both men. Andrade won the match with the hammerlock DDT from the top turnbuckle. Again, what a match.

After that great encounter, Mandy was seducing Jimmy Uso and the reason why Mandy did it was became Mandy’s mad that Naomi thinks that she's as hot as Mandy. Then outta nowhere, Naomi stormed on the hotel room and beat the crap outta Mandy Rose. I feel like this will end with Naomi having a partner to face Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.

Shane McMahon’s Birthday Celebration.

WWE Photo
The Miz introduced the birthday boy to the ring. Shane then gave his usual cheap pop. After that, Miz showed him the gifts including a pretty good video package about Shane McMahon.

Shane McMahon opened up about how he's always wanted to be a tag team champion and that's why he accepted this match. After the Miz sang the happy birthday song, The Bar came out and said that they will beat Shane and Miz at the Royal Rumble. McMahon then made a match between Miz and Sheamus.

Match itself was rather quick and meaningless but this entire segment was boring. The Miz won the match with the roll up. After the match, Shane McMahon rushed to the ring to help a beaten down Sheamus. This wasn't a good way to end SmackDown Live in my opinion.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos:

Like: Rey Mysterio vs Andrade.

Didn't like: Shane McMahon Birthday celebration and The Miz vs Sheamus.

WWE Extreme Rules 2019 | My Coherent Review.

Man, I'm impressed with WWE in terms of PPVs as of late because overall, this was a fantastic show in my opinion with great matches but the crowd was dead for most of the show so that sucks.  I finally watched the pre-show match between Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura before I went to bed because the show aired at 2 am where I live and it was okay.  By the way, how interesting is it when on last year’s Extreme Rules show, Shinsuke Nakamura won the United States championship and now this year’s show, he won the intercontinental title. Also, it's funny that the intercontinental championship was the main event on last's year show and on this year's Extreme Rules PPV, it's on the preshow.  Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns and The Undertaker.  Mike Rome did better in announcing "The Best In the world" this time than on RAW. Mike Rome's announcement a few weeks ago sounded like that one friend that thinks he/she knows how to ...

NXT Takeover: In Your House 2020 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover: In Your House is like the rest of the Takeover shows, a fantastic 2 hours of professional wrestling.  What makes this show special is the additional nostalgia like how the show started with the NXT WWF inspired intro, the ice cream commercial narrated by William Regal doing his best Lord Alferd Hayes impression, icopro commercial and last but not least, Todd Pettengill.  This is a show that I'm definitely rewatching in years to come.  Mia Yim, Tegan Nox And Shotzi Blackheart vs Raquel Gonzalez, Candice LeRae And Dakota Kai.  A decent opening match. During the match, Nox did a Molly Holly top rope on to every competitor in the match.  Yim tried to give LeRae some Seoul Food but LeRae reversed that into a suplex. Several minutes later, Shotzi did a Salida Del Sol of some sort on Gonzalez to which Nox delivered the shiniest wizard on Kai and won the match.  Finn Balor vs Damian Priest. I actually thought that the closing mo...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Holy Sh*t, The Revival Are All Elite, Matt Riddle vs Timothy Thatcher In A Unique Steel Cage Match.

Both shows had its weak points but overall, that was an enjoyable 4 hours of professional wrestling television. I personally liked AEW Dynamite this week.  From an awesome women's match with Shida and Christi Jaynes to The Revival showing up, AEW managed to give me a solid episode and successfully furthered their storylines to next week's exciting show.  NXT   Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Kushida vs Drake Maverick vs Jake Atlas. Triple Threat Match Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.  What a way to kick off this episode of NXT, am I right? Atlas delivered the rainbow DDT but Kushida broke Jake's pin.  Speaking of Kushida, he nailed the armbar submission, however, Drake pinned Atlas because Atlas' shoulders were on the mat and will meet El Hijo Del Fantasma for the finals next week.  I don't know if Drake is rehired or he's going to be rehired but Maverick has a big ta...
