WWE RAW 26/11/18 | My Coherent Review.

I’ve been a fan of pro wrestling more specifically, WWE for 11 years and I’ve never seen RAW this terrible creatively since God knows how long. Now, I know someone is going to say “Well if don’t like RAW, stop watching?” I’ll use an example.

WWE is like the kid that always gets in trouble, performs badly in his/her tests and I or the fans that don’t the product, are like the parents that no matter how their kid messes up, they somehow feel hopeful that he or she becomes successful in life.

The reason why I and others watch this show is that they love this product, they love their wrestlers and most importantly they love this business.

Now, am I saying that their opinion is right? Of course not. To quote in the style of Roman Reigns “ There’s no wrong opinion. There’s no right opinion. There’s the opinion” but I’m, however, frustrated that this show went from can’t miss to “Oh my god, RAW is on? I gotta sleep for work tomorrow”.

I hope you understand where I’m coming from. Usually, on my reviews, I tell you guys what’s good, what’s ok and what’s bad but because I don’t like this episode, I’m only going to tell you what’s ok and what’s bad. Without further ado, on with the review.

WHAT’S OK

Opening segment

The show started off with Corbin welcomes everyone to Monday Night RAW. Never heard that phrase said before. Baron then played a promo package of him, McIntyre and Bobby Lashley beating the crap outta Braun Strowman.

After that, Braun Strowman appeared via a video recorded in the hospital and told the world that Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre are gonna get these hands. After Baron Corbin went on and on about how he’s going to win at TLC via forfeit, the lights went off and there was Elias. It ’s a whatever segment.

Elias vs Bobby Lashley

The match was bleh but that elbow drop by Elias was a thing of beauty. After that, Baron Corbin made this match a no DQ match and just like last week minus Braun Strowman, this was a three on one beat down.

Bobby Lashley won the match via a reverse Alabama slam on the steel steps by Drew McIntyre (get it, because Braun Strowman had surgery in Birmingham, ALABAMA) followed by a spear from Bobby on the outside.

Ronda’s confrontation with Nia Jax

WWE Photo
Nia Jax went on and on about how Ronda wasn’t the same after their first encounter and how she deserves to be on top of the mountain. Out came Ronda Rousey and she cut a promo on how she’s going to beat Nia at TLC.

Nia Jax threw her mic down and Nia along with Tamina stared at Ronda. Out came Natalya and outta nowhere the Riott Squad came and beat Natalya to which Ronda Rousey rushed to the outside and save Natalya. Whatever.

Seth Rollins vs Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship

WWE Photo
This was, by the way, an open challenge and Dolph Ziggler answered the challenge. This was a decent match. Dolph Ziggler reversed a frog splash from Rollins into a famouser for the near fall. Seth Rollins retained the championship with the falcon arrow.

WHAT’S BAD

Lucha House Party vs The Revival

WWE Photo
Why just why? I don’t mind a rematch if the first match was you know, actually good? The Lucha House Party won the match again via a shooting star press from Lince Dorado.

AOP vs Bobby Roode and Chad Gable for the RAW tag team championship

WWE Photo
AOP won the match and retained the titles because Bobby Roode got distracted from Drake Maverick actually pissing on his robe. Gotta love RAW’s shitty booking.

Alexa Bliss hosted “an open form” for fans to ask questions

WWE Photo
Yes, WWE made Alexa Bliss to host “an open form” for fans to ask questions to Bayley and Sasha Banks. The lady with the Ronda Rousey t-shirt asked if either of them could change the RAW women’s division, what would they change?

To which Bayley answered by saying that she’s proud of the women’s division and she hopes that they (the women) get more opportunities. I mean they do get more opportunities so I don’t know how to feel about that answer.

Sasha Banks answered the question by saying that she’s would change one thing and that’s to shove Alexa back to Smackdown Live. Bayley replied by saying that she would ship Alexa to hell where Alexa came from.

Who in God’s world wrote that line? The segment ended by Dana Brooke, Mickie James and Alicia Fox tried to beat both Bayley and Sasha Banks but they failed.

Finn Balor vs Baron Corbin and Drew McIntyre - 2 on 1 Handicap match

... but McIntyre clobbers Bálor with the Claymore Kick for the 1-2-3!
This match feels a lot similar to Elias vs Bobby Lashley in the sense that it was a 1 on 2 beatdown and that was my main issue with this. The team of Baron Corbin and Drew McIntyre won the match with Drew delivered the Claymore kick to Finn Balor.

Jinder Mahal vs No Way Jose

WWE Photo
Jinder won with the full Nelson slam. There, I saved you 5 minutes.

Ember Moon vs Alicia Fox

First off, why’s Curt Hawkin all over sudden paired with Ember Moon? I don’t get it. Ember won with the eclipse.

WWE Wrestlemania 26 | A Coherent Review.

I've teased a mystery review on my Facebook page (which you can click here to follow us) and that mystery has now been unveiled. It's Wrestlemania 26. This review was delayed and was supposed to be up last Monday but at least is now up. Also, The first draft of this review was 7 pages long so strap in. By far, the longest review on this very website.  I thought it would be fitting to review a Wrestlemania from a decade back and how do I feel about it? It was a show that if you watched it, you're most likely going to have a good time. It was a mix of great things but terrible things at the same time as most shows.  The 26th edition of Wrestlemania took place in the University of Phoenix Stadium in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, Arizona on March 28th, 2010.  The commentators were Micheal Cole, Jerry Lawler and Matt Striker. Honestly, Striker was pretty good and a far better colour commentator than Lawler was on this show (even today, Lawler is still bleh on commen...

WrestleFest DXB's Fahrenheit 971 | A Coherent W.

Being a fan of pro wrestling (or any other medium of entertainment) does have its pros and cons when engaging with the industry as a whole.  On one hand, you've witnessed an Eddie Kingston promo that'll make you tear up more than the opening scene of Up.  On the other hand, going to the wrestling subreddit will definitely have you questioning humanity as a whole and the fact that living in an area where a wrestling presence pretty much doesn't exist like a Vince Russo-written storyline that is, you know, GOOD!?  Luckily, the latter retracted my con as a fan because I'm talking about Wrestlefest DXB and their latest joint, "971 Fahrenheit".  Martin Bushby of now Post Wrestling Alumni brought the event to my attention because like a wrestler on an episode of RAW I get distracted all the time.  So, I decided to take a short journey to a taxi then a bus then a train then a 30-minute walk to the show itself and I know I'm going to sound biased as f**k but I l...

NXT Takeover: 30 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeovers have delivered greatly throughout the "30 years" of Takeover shows.  This one, in my opinion, wasn't it. For a Takeover program, this was disappointing.  All of the Takeovers are A's or B's and Takeover 30 was a C at best.  At least, I like the stage production set.  pictures via WWE.com PRESHOW: Breezango vs Legado De La Fantasma vs Oney Lorcan And Danny Burch. Winner Faces Imperium For The NXT Tag Team Championship.  It was a fine match. Joaquin Wilde's ring gear was really cool even though it took a bit out of the seriousness from the Legado De La Fantasma stable. I'm just nitpicking though.  Breezango actually won the match and will go on to face Imperium for the tag belts.  MAIN SHOW: Finn Balor vs Timothy Thatcher.  Timothy Thatcher started off this match with a series of punches which he then later transitioned into various submission moves.  Pretty much, Finn has no choice but to adapt to...
