WWE RAW 19/11/18 | My Coherent Review.

As usual, RAW was terrible. Why you ask? Well, I’m gonna tell you what’s good, what’s ok and what’s bad. However, this time it’s only what’s bad and what's okay because you know why. Here we go.

WHAT'S BAD

The opening segment

WWE Photo
RAW starting off with a bland, boring, formulaic (in a bad way) and generic opening segment and the unfortunate thing is that this formula ain’t ending anytime soon. Now, they announced officially a match between Braun Strowman and Baron Corbin in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match but with one condition given to both participants of that match.

If Baron Corbin wins then he’s permanently the RAW general manager. If Braun Strowman wins then he’s facing Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble. Corbin then made a six-man tag match and Stephanie McMahon made it the opening match of this show and speaking of which……

WHAT’S OK

Braun Strowman, Finn Balor and Elias vs Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre

WWE Photo
A six-man elimination tag match and it was decent. Drew eliminated Finn Balor with the Claymore kick. Bobby Lashley speared Elias on the outside which eliminated Elias via a count out. The entire match ended in a DQ by Drew McIntyre with a chair and then a 3 on 1 beatdown happened between Drew, Lashley, Corbin and Strowman.

This is probably the weakest I've seen Braun Strowman look. Don't know yet if that’s a good thing or a bad thing given that Drew looked like a legit badass in this and that could help him in the long run but will see.

Sasha Banks and Bayley vs Nia Jax and Tamina

WWE Photo
An okay match in my opinion. Nia Jax got heat but it wasn’t as loud as last night’s. Since Nia Jax now known as the face breaker, is she going to use a knockout punch as her finish? The answer is, god I hope not. The team of Nia Jax and Tamina won the match with Nia Jax delivered a Samoan drop to Bayley.

Seth Rollins looks for Dean Ambrose

Wow, Dean Ambrose channelling his inner Samoa Joe with his manipulations. The Roman Reigns line was not only disgusting but it was extremely lazy like the writers can’t come up with ways to get heat from Dean?

For that, I had to put it on what’s ok even though this is the best thing going on right now on RAW. By the way, 2018 is the year of low blows don’t cha agree?

Ronda Rousey promo and match

WWE Photo
Basically, this segment goes like this. Ronda was furious on the DQ finish from Charlotte and demanded to defend her championship against anyone hence, an open challenge. Baron Corbin showed up and denied her request.

Then Ronda said that she hasn’t postponed a fight and she can take on anybody. Baron Corbin changed his mind and accepted her request. That led to a match between Mickie James and Ronda which was rather quick. Ronda retained her title with the armbar. After the match, Nia Jax warned Rousey with a fist pose.

Bobby Roode and Chad Gable vs AOP

WWE Photo
The team of Bobby Roode and Chad Gable won the match with a roll up from Chad Gable. Whatever.

Lucha House Party vs The Revival

WWE Photo
Lucha House Party won. I don’t like throwing that word around but let’s just say that the revival are buried.

Natalya vs Ruby Riott

WWE Photo
A skippable match in my opinion. Natalya did a sharpshooter to Ruby but Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan helped Ruby from tapping out. Then, Ruby did a school boy roll up but Natalya countered that into a modified small package and That's how Natalya won the match.

WWE Smackdown Season Premiere | A Coherent Review.

It is the season premiere of Friday night Smackdown even though WWE doesn't have an offseason.  Nevertheless, it was a decent program and had a WAY better ending than whatever the hell of an ending last year's premiere of Friday night Smackdown showed.  There isn't a women's match this week and all of the AEW fanboys are looking at this like, "sEe, WWE dOeSn't feATuRe wOmeN'S mAtChEs aLsO."  pictures via WWE.com The Season Premiere Of Smackdown 2020.  The show started off with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon highlighting the scheduled matches for Smackdown as well as the superstars.  Chaos then ensued thanks to a huge brawl. Then, the "super freak" Lars Sullivan came out and delivered the freak accident to Shorty G.  Somehow, Jeff Hardy attacked him and that led to the opening match of the night between Lars and Jeff.  You know, I'm kind of surprised that two white people in McMahon and Hemsley knew who Rick James is.  Maybe I'm igno...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Fyter Fest 2020 Came Back Swinging?

Last week, on this very series, I said that I enjoyed Great American Bash better than Fyter Fest.  Well, this week is the exact opposite. AEW came in swinging with night 2 Fyter Fest.  I've not liked a Dynamite episode in several weeks so it's nice to see that the show finally executed a great show since God knows how long.   NXT      Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Mia Yim vs Candice LeRae In A Street Fight. The match went underway after Yim quickly attacked Candice LeRae during LeRae's entrance.  In the crowd area, Candice tried to nail the suplex on the table but Yim got out of that position and kicked her to which she landed through the table.  The Streetfight concluded with LeRae striking Yim with the brass knuckles followed by a swinging neck from the top of the table onto a bunch of chairs and that's how LeRae defeats the HBIC.  A fun opening match even though...

THE Coherent AEW Take: Christian Dior, Dior. Eddie Kingston up in all the stores!

Ever since AEW Dynamite was on Saturday night for a bit, I've been WAY behind on AEW content so excuse my ignorance. And It's Full Gear weekend which means another PPV that would last longer than the Snyder cut.  Sheeit, I'll bet the collar and elbow hold alone from the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega championship match, is longer than the entire Queen's Crown tournament.  As far as how I feel about both programs this week, well.  They did an okay job on building towards the final AEW PPV of the year this Saturday. Rampage.   Highlights.  Bryan Danielson vs Anthony Bowens.  And no, the highlight doesn't include Max Caster's verses. I'll rather listen to f**king Riff Raff than Max Caster's dig on anything.  The worst part, people are probably going to look at this and say, "can't wait for a Max Caster's appearance on Wild 'N Out!"  With that being said, this opening match was good. Danielson wins with the rebel lock.  Eddie Kingston (wi...
