The 5 News Week: Cody And The Young Bucks Behind A Wrestling Promotion!?, Smackdown and RAW TV Ratings

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week.

Cody And The Young Bucks Behind A Wrestling Promotion!?

Now, reports were going around the interwebs that Chris Jericho and Jim Ross were working on a new promotion backed up by the billionaire co-owner of Jacksonville Jaguars Tony Khan. Since those reports came out, both men denied it. However, the story isn't done yet because according to Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks are the masterminds behind the company.

WrestlingNews.co reported a story on multiple trademarks filed by a wrestling company called All Elite Wrestling, LLC such as AEW, AEW Double Or Nothing, AEW All Out, Tuesday Night Dynamite, ALL OUT, Double Or Nothing and All Elite Wrestling.

Wrestletalk reported that at least two WWE superstars were personally approached on signing a new contract with that promotion once their WWE contracts expire. It is believed that they have accepted the deal and will leave WWE early next year. More specifically, April at the latest.

They (Wrestletalk) haven't said on who those superstars are but expect the names to be revealed very soon. All I can say is that this could possibly be a gamechanger for the pro wrestling business and I'm interested in where this story goes.

Smackdown and RAW TV Ratings

The RAW and Smackdown Live after the last big four PPV of the year Survivor Series ratings have been revealed and it's okay I guess? This week, RAW even with Monday Night Football going on at the same time, drew 2.49 million while Smackdown Live brought in at 2.15 million viewers with Smackdown Live ranked #2 on the top 50 original cable telecast for November 20, 2018 according to Showbuzz Daily

Gail Kim On Her Favourite Matches In WWE

Even though she doesn't really talk about WWE all that much, she has put some decent matches in WWE whether if it's on her first or second run with the company. A fan on Twitter asked Gail Kim on her best matches in WWE and she replied with.......
She also replies to fans on her WWE wrestling memories

Braun Strowman Out Of Action Due To An Injury

Braun Strowman is in fact, injured and will not compete in the mixed match challenge due to a shattered elbow. His surgery is set for Monday, November 26 according to Mike Johnson over at PWInsider and it is believed to be a minor injury if the surgery is done. As of right now, WWE hasn't announced a replacement for Braun Strowman. I wish him the speediest of recovery.

Two Matches Set For RAW This Coming Week

Oh boy, Two "exciting" matchups have been announced for the 26 November 2018 edition of RAW which is this Monday (No shit, Omar). One is a Tag team Title Match Between AO PEE PEE and the team of Bobby Roode and Chad Gable. Two is Elias vs Black Lex Luger, Bobby Lashley.

Well, I hope you're caught up with the news and let me know your thoughts on the news I just reported and follow the blog for honest pro wrestling opinions. Anyways, stay safe smarks.

WWE Wrestlemania 26 | A Coherent Review.

I've teased a mystery review on my Facebook page (which you can click here to follow us) and that mystery has now been unveiled. It's Wrestlemania 26. This review was delayed and was supposed to be up last Monday but at least is now up. Also, The first draft of this review was 7 pages long so strap in. By far, the longest review on this very website.  I thought it would be fitting to review a Wrestlemania from a decade back and how do I feel about it? It was a show that if you watched it, you're most likely going to have a good time. It was a mix of great things but terrible things at the same time as most shows.  The 26th edition of Wrestlemania took place in the University of Phoenix Stadium in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, Arizona on March 28th, 2010.  The commentators were Micheal Cole, Jerry Lawler and Matt Striker. Honestly, Striker was pretty good and a far better colour commentator than Lawler was on this show (even today, Lawler is still bleh on commen...

WrestleFest DXB's Fahrenheit 971 | A Coherent W.

Being a fan of pro wrestling (or any other medium of entertainment) does have its pros and cons when engaging with the industry as a whole.  On one hand, you've witnessed an Eddie Kingston promo that'll make you tear up more than the opening scene of Up.  On the other hand, going to the wrestling subreddit will definitely have you questioning humanity as a whole and the fact that living in an area where a wrestling presence pretty much doesn't exist like a Vince Russo-written storyline that is, you know, GOOD!?  Luckily, the latter retracted my con as a fan because I'm talking about Wrestlefest DXB and their latest joint, "971 Fahrenheit".  Martin Bushby of now Post Wrestling Alumni brought the event to my attention because like a wrestler on an episode of RAW I get distracted all the time.  So, I decided to take a short journey to a taxi then a bus then a train then a 30-minute walk to the show itself and I know I'm going to sound biased as f**k but I l...

NXT Takeover: 30 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeovers have delivered greatly throughout the "30 years" of Takeover shows.  This one, in my opinion, wasn't it. For a Takeover program, this was disappointing.  All of the Takeovers are A's or B's and Takeover 30 was a C at best.  At least, I like the stage production set.  pictures via WWE.com PRESHOW: Breezango vs Legado De La Fantasma vs Oney Lorcan And Danny Burch. Winner Faces Imperium For The NXT Tag Team Championship.  It was a fine match. Joaquin Wilde's ring gear was really cool even though it took a bit out of the seriousness from the Legado De La Fantasma stable. I'm just nitpicking though.  Breezango actually won the match and will go on to face Imperium for the tag belts.  MAIN SHOW: Finn Balor vs Timothy Thatcher.  Timothy Thatcher started off this match with a series of punches which he then later transitioned into various submission moves.  Pretty much, Finn has no choice but to adapt to...
