WWE Smackdown Live 24/7/18 | My Coherent Review.

Smackdown live was a very good show that does a great job to build off of summerslam unlike RAW. Why you ask? Well i'm gonna give you what's good, what's ok but not what's bad and the reason being is because the show was good that i didn't have any particular issues with the show. Here we go. By the way, did you know that there's a all women's PPV called evolution that takes place in the nassau coliseum in long island, NY on October 28th? I didn't know that.

WHAT'S GOOD

Randy Orton's promo

… including unfinished business with Hardy and being No. 9 on the SmackDown Top 10 List.
OH MY GOD. What a promo. I feel like this randy orton reminds me of late 2008, 2009 randy orton which i CLEARLY don't mind. He talks about the reason for his beat down on jeff hardy on smackdown and on extreme rules last week is because of you the fans. He also stated that how he's been consisted in the WWE for 16 years and never got the respect he deserves and the fans would prefer someone like a jeff hardy over a randy orton. The promo ends with randy telling the audience to only refer to him as three of the most devastatingly destructive letters in sports entertainment and that is  R    K    O. Great stuff by randy orton.

Andrade "cien" almas vs Rusev

Very good match considering that they're technically heels but again good match by those two. A backstage segment with aiden english and lana arguing and then rusev shouted "ENOUGH!' and said that both of them are not good for rusev day. Insert sad emoji.

Paige to announce AJ styles's opponent for the WWE title at SummerSlam

This is an awesome segment. First off paige as a the general manager of smackdown is amazing. She great at it. AJ styles mentioning the evolution PPV in a couple of months felt natural even though i forgot to mention this on my RAW review (which you can click here) last night and that them mentioning the evolution PPV is the new 9.99 when they where promoting the network years ago. James ellsworth comes out and basically talks nonsense as usual. Paige decides to fire him and the security guards threw him outside. Meanwhile samoa joe outta nowhere chokes out AJ and then signs the contract to become the number one contender for the WWE championship at summerslam. Great segment in my opinion and we'll see where they go form here.

WHAT'S OK

Samoa joe vs R Truth

WWE Photo
Speaking of samoa joe, nothing happened really. Samoa joe wins with the coquina clutch. A complette squash match.

Asuka vs Billie Kay

Speaking of squash matches, Asuka wins with the kick of the side of bilie kay's head. I don't mind the squash considering that she's been looked like a doofus since her feud with carmella and she needs a bit of momentum in her.

Becky lynch vs carmella

Even though i like carmella as a heel, the thing i dislike about her is the in ring skills and surprisingly, this is a decent match. Becky obviously wins win the disarmer gaining the number one contendership in the process.

New Day vs Sanity

Decent tag match. New day wins, advancing in the tag team tournament. I didn't mind sanity losing and the reason being is because if they win the whole tournament and face the bludgeon brothers, that's a heel on heel dynamic and i don't wanna see that chemistry and creative had a tough call in this. Usos will face the bar next week and i'm looking forward to it.

I thought the segment was fine and the placing made sense considering that they're promoting the show (speaking of which, i have to check out the show in curiosity). I liked the aspect of promoting the show but at the same time, furthering the storyline. Bravo creative, bravo.

NXT Takeover: In Your House 2020 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover: In Your House is like the rest of the Takeover shows, a fantastic 2 hours of professional wrestling.  What makes this show special is the additional nostalgia like how the show started with the NXT WWF inspired intro, the ice cream commercial narrated by William Regal doing his best Lord Alferd Hayes impression, icopro commercial and last but not least, Todd Pettengill.  This is a show that I'm definitely rewatching in years to come.  Mia Yim, Tegan Nox And Shotzi Blackheart vs Raquel Gonzalez, Candice LeRae And Dakota Kai.  A decent opening match. During the match, Nox did a Molly Holly top rope on to every competitor in the match.  Yim tried to give LeRae some Seoul Food but LeRae reversed that into a suplex. Several minutes later, Shotzi did a Salida Del Sol of some sort on Gonzalez to which Nox delivered the shiniest wizard on Kai and won the match.  Finn Balor vs Damian Priest. I actually thought that the closing mo...

WWE RAW Reunion Show | My Coherent Review.

I really enjoyed this episode of Monday Night RAW but it's also sad that WWE can't deliver a good show without the help of the legends. Not that they haven't delivered a good show with the current roster but take the legends out, the show was pretty much skippable but I understood why it was considering that it's really hard to put current storylines in a reunion themed show.  If you wanna get nostalgic for almost 3 hours then this show is for you but if you want storyline progression then this ain't it.  Opening segment.  The show kicked off with John Cena and it feels weirdly nostalgic when his music hits. John said that he's so excited to be here because so many legends of the past are showing up and also joked about how the fans are finally nice to him.  The Usos came out and they wanted the Doctor Of Thugnamocis. They got their wish and Cena did a rap about their arrest. The Usos brought up their father in Rikishi with Grand...

Jim Cornette's Opinion On WWE's Deal With FOX.

Jim Cornette recently appeared on Talk Is Jericho about the state of wrestling ( Click here to listen and download the whole thing, it's really good) and talked about a number of topics but the interesting thing about this discussion is his opinion on WWE's deal with FOX. Here's what he had to say (shout out to WrestleZone for the transcript):  " Vince just got $2 billion for a TV deal. People are looking at All In, the resurgence of New Japan, and all that, but that’s going to be the most important thing. Now people with platforms are interested in wrestling again.  There’s a lot of money in wrestling again. For a while ratings were meh, and they still are, but at the same point $2 billion, how can you argue with that? In 2011, when Sinclair Broadcasting bought Ring of Honor it instantly became the second most watched television program because it was on 60 local stations.  That was still a wide gap from WWE, and IMPACT has gone in the other direction becaus...
