WWE Extreme Rules 2018 | My Coherent Review.

Hello my fellow wrestling fans reading this and welcome to my extreme rules PPV review and the show was ok. Nothing amazing besides one match and i can't talk about my thoughts on the preshow matches simply because i haven't seen it and yes i'm happy that sanity finally won.  Now, let's talk wrestling shall we?

B team vs "WOKEN Matt hardy and Bray Wyatt

WWE PhotoDecent match. At one point, matt hardy told bray to eat him to bo dallas. That made me laugh. During the match, matt accidentally pushed bray to the outside and then the match ends with bo delivering a swinging neckbreaker to matt to win the RAW tag team champions. The first time for bo and a for the second time with cutris. That was a unexpected win and i hope that creative takes them seriously considering that they're the tag champs but i highly doubt that. I think their gonna face probably the revival considering that they were watching the match between bo dallas and matt hardy and they beat roman and bobby lashley in a tag team match. Two of the top stars on RAW but i could be wrong.

Meanwhile, a backstage interview was conducted by renee young and kurt basically gave brock an ultimatum. Either brock shows up tommorow night on RAW or he's stripped from the universal championship and that got a huge reaction from the crowd. A nice cliff hanger to RAW tommorow is all i can say.

Finn Balor vs Baron Corbin

WWE Photo
This was surprisingly a decent match. Baron corbin delivering a deep six on any opponent is ALWAYS great to see. Anyways, the match ends with a small package to baron for the win and i have a issue with this. Yes the right man won but the problem is that this awful, poorly written feud is unfortunately gonna continue and in my opinion, finn balor is better than this.

Asuka vs Carmella

WWE Photo
This match was mediocre at best. There was a point in the match were ellsworth got stuck in the shark cage and the ref and some technicians were trying to get rid of the thing that got ellsworth stuck in the first place. Meanwhile carmella was laying on the outside and i gotta ask. Why isn't the referee counting to ten? I get it he's focusing on ellsworth getting stuck but this is a normal match after all right? The match ends with carmella pushing asuka to the shark cage on her face to regain her title and i'm gonna assume that asuka is getting a rematch at some point and if anything, this match kinda exposed how bad carmella is in the ring even though she's a pretty good talker in my opinion.

Jeff hardy vs Shinsuke Nakamura

WWE Photo
So much for this match being a sleeper match. Before the match started, nakamura delivered his signature move called the low blow without the ref even seeing it. The match ended quickly with nakamura delivering a kinshasa to jeff hardy to crown the new united states champion. His first ever championship in the main roster. Randy Orton came back to a standing ovation (sarcasm), looked at shinsuke and immediately kicked jeff on his balls. Ouch. Anyways, a rematch is happening on SmackDown this week and i hope that match is going to be somewhat competitive.

Kevin Owens vs Braun Strowman

This match was basically braun beating the shit out of owens with the exception of owens giving some offence to braun. The match ended with braun like an idiot, threw kevin owens to the spainsh announce table declaring kevins owens the winner of that match. I don't what happens next but i'm gonna predict that this feud is going to end? I don't but we'll see.

The Bludgeon Brothers vs Team Hell NO

WWE Photo
Earlier in the show, the bludgeons brothers beat up both bryan and kane and at one point, erick rowan hit the door with the axe on kane's leg with the door supporting it. Before i talk about the match itself, Fightful.com is reporting that bryan had resigned a two year deal with the WWE and all i can say is that WWE would be foolish to let someone like a daniel bryan go. Anyways, Most of the match was basically a two on one handicap match and it was good to be honest. Kane comes back to save bryan and had a bit of momentum in this match until luke harper hit kane's leg and the match ends with the bludgeons brothers delivering a tag team manoeuvre to daniel bryan and regain the smackdown tag team champions. Hoping this reunion ends sooner rather than later.

Bobby Lashley vs Roman Reigns

WWE Photo
This match was surprisingly decent. Started slow but picked up really quickly in my opinion. During the match, roman delivered a attitude adjustment like move to bobby lashley on the outside floor which looked brutal so props to lashley for taking that bump. The match ends with bobby counted Roman's spear and gave a spear of his to win the match. I'm actually surprised that lashley won but considering that he hasn't looked good since his return, the win actually made sense. The only thing i hate about his win is that it continues to build sympathy for roman which if you don't know already, it's not working but that's just me. If Brock shows up tomorrow night, don't be surprised if Roman interferes Brock.

Alexa Bliss vs Nia Jax

WWE Photo
Just like the SmackDown women's championship earlier, this match wasn't very good. During the match Nia Jax delivered a military press and threw alexa on the garabage bin like the picture above. Ronda jumps out the barricade and beats the crap outta mickie james. Ronda then chases alexa and ronda got hit with the Singapore cane (or the kendo stick depending on who you are) by mickie. The match ends with alexa delivering a DDT to Nia on the chair to retain the championship. This will eventually build to a ronda rousey vs alexa bliss match at summerslam (No shit, omar).

AJ Styles vs Rusev

Image result for WWE Extreme Rules
This is a goooood match. The match told a typical but a decent story in the ring and that was rusev's leg. Rusev with the injured leg, managed to look dominate throughout this match. The match ends with AJ hitting the phenomenal forearm to rusev to retain the WWE title. Is just me or is it that i want both aiden english and rusev to set their sights on the tag titles again? As for as the WWE championship is concerned, AJ i'm assuming, will face samoa joe at summerslam and i wish that he faces the miz instead but it is what it is.

Dolph Ziggler vs Seth Rollins

WWE Photo
WAOW! I'm actually shocked and happy that the intercontinental championship actually main evented a PPV. The last time that happened is i believe backlash 2001. The match itself was good but their matches on RAW in the past couple of weeks was better but that's subjective. During the match, the crowd for some odd reason, started to chant in the style of the royal rumble every ten seconds in the match and i thought it was funny at first but got a bit annoying as time goes by. Drew at first looked kinda stupid in this match but he hit the claymore to seth for dolph to get his first fall so his stupidity actually paid off i guess? I feel like the problem with this match is that they were too many falls in my opinion. I don't know, i prefer the fall being 0 to 0 the first 15 minutes or something and then pick up from there. Anyways the matched ended in a draw. Then kurt angle came out and then declared a sudden death overtime. Seconds later comes drew and distracts seth for dolph to delivered a zig zag on seth rollins to regain the intercontinental championship. Again good match and we'll see where the championship scene goes from here.

Should Dave Meltzer Get Rid Of His Rating System?

So a few weeks ago, good old Dave Meltzer of the wrestling observer newsletter gave the Kazuchika Okada vs Kenny omega match at dominion 2018 a 7-star rating. According to the interent wrestling database , this match is by far his HIGHEST match rating ever (i don't blame him because the match was amazing). So statistically, this is his favourite match of all time . Now, why I'm writing this now?  Well, his best match ratings have been a consistent 5 stars since 1983 with the exception of all the Omega vs Okada matches and the Mitsuharu Misawa vs Toshiaki Kawada match at AJPW's Budokan hall show in June of 1994.  There are fans that take his match ratings as an offence somehow like "Why he rates X match better than Y match?" or thinks that he "hates" WWE which is ridiculous considering that he gave three WWE matches a 5 star ratings just this past year. One was the ladder match to crown the first ever NXT North American champion, the Johnny Garga...

WWE Smackdown Live 10/7/18 | My Coherent Review.

Smackdown live was a bad show that did nothing as a wrestling fan to gain any excitement for extreme rules. Why you ask? Well i'm gonna give you what's good. No scratch that, i'm gonna give you what's ok and what's bad. Here we go. WHAT'S OK The opening segment and the brawl after that The opening segment was meh. And the brawl after that was fine. Didn't make me go "OHHHHHHHHHHH" or anything like along those lines. That brawl leads to a TEN MAN TAG TEAM match (Ummmmmm no shit omar). I will say this, the segment kinda teased the fact that maybe kane will turn on his best friend? I don't know. Should be interesting.  Andrade "cien" almas vs Sin cara The match was surprisingly decent. At one point andrade delivered a devastating stomp to sin cara on the ring apron. Andrade wins with a running knee to sin cara on the middle rope. Hoping andrade can move on to bigger and better things.  WHAT'S BAD ...

WWE Smackdown Live 19/2/19 | My Coherent Review.

This show was overall, a skippable show just like RAW yesterday and here's why.  Opening segment.  The show kicked off with Shane McMahon with his usual cheap pop. After that, Shane McMahon announced that Aleister Black, Johnny Gargano, Ricochet and Tommaso Ciampa will be on SmackDown Live just like RAW last night (click here to read my RAW review).  Out came The Miz and he said that he hasn't stop thinking about their match at Elimination Chamber. Miz also said he admitted that he used Shane because Miz wanted to make Shane McMahon understand where's Miz's coming from.  Miz then wanted a rematch between him, Shane McMahon and the Usos for the SmackDown Live tag team championship to which the Usos came out and insulted The Miz.  That led to Shane McMahon saying that the rematch is on but at Fastlane in two weeks. So we got the first official match scheduled for Fastlane and considering that Shane is a McMahon and has all the Authority, I do...
