WWE Smackdown 28/5/21 | A Coherent Review.

I've not been on the Smackdown review grind as of late mainly due to this thing called "life".

What's notable and somewhat annoying about my review inconsistencies is that It's always the good wrestling shows that I do not review. In other words, f**k you Monday Night RAW you absolute visual Nyquil.

Anyways, how was Smackdown today? Besides a few good wrestling matches, it was a nothing show. The episode was the definition of the word, "filler".

The Riott Squad vs Natalya And Tamina.

I've been really liking Natalya and Tamina's run so far? It's something I wouldn't say even as recently as last month.

This match kinda justifies my enjoyment for the current women's tag team champions. When Ruby Riott wrestles (or allowed to), trust me, she f**king wrestles.

Seth Rollins Sh*ts On Cesaro Yet Again.

Don't worry. Seth hasn't abused the word "drip" but to be fair, his fashion taste is decent. Is it over the top though? For the most part.

Rollins played audio of Cesaro being in agony at the hospital which, let's be honest, is a pure dick move that MJF WISHES to utilize (AEW fans will definitely love this take).

Yes, they're stretching this rivalry. However, I do not mind a rematch simply because I've enjoyed their series of matches since Wrestlemania.

Kevin Owens vs Apollo Crews.

Owens was about to win the match until Commander Azzez ended the match with the Nigerian nail that injured Owens' throat.

The thing that bothered me about this is WWE kept the booking of Apollo Crews as champion way too old school in the sense that Crews always survives a match due to outside circumstances like Aleister Black's interference last week or Commander Azzez's interference this week.

In other words, Apollo is written to be a weak a**champion.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Chad Gable.

During the match, King Corbin took his crown that Shinsuke stole weeks back. After defeating Gable, Nakamura knocked Corbin out and took his crown for good measure.

This is the R Truth/Wade Barret feud from 2015 and I'm not a fan of it. The reason being is that the feud is too plain like bread or something. There's nothing nuanced about it.

Bianca Belair vs Carmella.

Here's someone I've not seen in quite some time, Carmella. Fix your women's division, WWE! (Not you NXT).

The match itself was aight. Bayley was the guest commentator and anytime she interacts with Cole, it's always the funniest thing on Smackdown or even WWE.

Bianca wins here.

Dominik Mysterio vs Dolph Ziggler And Robert Roode.

It is awesome to see that a tag team champion or a tag team championship is main eventing an episode.

Despite the constant struggle from one-half of the tag team champions, Dominik wins the match due to, of course, a distraction by Rey Mysterio (2021 has to be the year of distraction finishes, right? I know the tactic has been a thing since forever but it's especially common to see it on WWE TV in 2021).

The Usos confronted the Mysterios because they'll be facing them for the championship next week. How did The Usos earn that? They talked to Adam Pearce about it after defeating The Street Profits (in a good opening match mind you).

Roman Reigns wasn't too happy with Jey being in the opening match instead of being in the main event. Further building tension within the family (no sh*t, Omar).

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: The Riott Squad vs Natalya and Tamina, The Usos vs The Street Profits.

Didn't like: Apollo Crews' booking as Intercontinental Championship, the Shinsuke Nakamura and Kong Corbin feud.

WWE Smackdown Live 30/10/18 | My Coherent Review.

Smackdown Live yesterday was a skippable show other than the opening segment and match in my opinion. Now usually on my RAW/Smackdown Live review, I break down what's good, what's ok and what's bad. For the first time, I'm only gonna tell you what's ok given that this show was again a skippable show and here we go.  WHAT'S OK The opening segment  This is the probably one of if not most noteworthy moment this week mainly because as you might know, there were reports going around that John Cena and Daniel Bryan were out of Crown Jewel and the reports are indeed true and it makes sense, especially for John Cena considering that he's an actor now and he needs to maintain his PR status. The segment itself was decent. Loved both guys' intensity and that segment leads to a WWE championship match and speaking of which............. Daniel Bryan vs AJ Styles  Decent match. Expected a better from these two but again, decent nevertheless but...

AEW Dynamite Blood And Guts | A Coherent Review.

Another watchable episode of AEW Dynamite but this time, it features the first-ever Blood And Guts encounter. Kenny Omega And Michael Nakazawa vs Jon Moxley And Eddie Kingston.  Don Callis announced that Michael Nakazawa is going to face Mox and Kingston all by himself only for Kenny Omega to show up and compete in the match anyway.  A weird booking choice but I'm just nitpicking.  What wasn't weird was how the match ended with a double team dragon suplex into a clothesline from the duo of Mox and Kingston to Nakazawa.  Then, a beatdown ensued from Omega's Posse to Jonny Mox and Eddie Kingston. The Young Bucks vs Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston? I'm down.  It was revealed later in the night that a number one contenders match for the AEW championship is set up for next week's show between Orange Cassidy and Pac. I'm assuming AEW is saving the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega encounter for All Out?  Either way, AEW has the potential to tell an interesting story of ...

WWE RAW 1/3/21 | A Coherent Review

Bobby Lashley is the NEW WWE champion and all I can say is, what do you expect?  It's not like WWE has ever messed up a performer's momentum, am I right? (That sarcasm was drier than Robert Patterson's sense of humour).  All jokes aside, I thought this show was actually decent.  Here's hoping that next week or the weeks after aren't a stinker.  Images via WWE.com Drew McIntyre vs Sheamus.  Monday Night RAW starting the show with a match is refreshing.  And I immediately spoke too soon as Drew cut a promo before this about how he's had the worst February ever, recapping what happened to him that month.  The Miz and John Morrison came out to tell Drew McIntyre that the Scotsmen is handling the WWE title with loss and wanted the former WWE champion to join him because Miz has a huge target on his back.  McIntyre wasn't having Miz's BS to which MVP told The Miz that he has an hour to defend his championship.  Sheamus showed up and both former men...
