WWE Smackdown 6/3/21 | A Coherent Review.

This episode was not good, to say the least.

A lot of disappointing things happened on this episode and it sucks because I've been enjoying the show as a whole for months.

Daniel Bryan Interview With Michael Cole.

Before Bryan eventually faces Roman's cousin, Jey Uso in a steel cage match later in the night, he opened the show with an interview with Michael Cole (no sh*t, Omar).

Bryan passionately talked about how hard he's worked for the thing he loves dearly more than Edge and Roman Reigns this year.

Out came Roman Reigns and he tells the guy that Bryan doesn't love this business because he NEEDS this business while Reigns does love it because of his sheer importance.

In the main event an hour before Bryan brawled with Jey Uso, they fought inside a steel cage which was really good.

Bryan prevailed in the end and will go on to face Roman Reigns at Fastlane.

The best part about all of this is not Roman Reigns (even though he was pretty good in his role AS USUAL) but rather Daniel Bryan himself.

Bryan's promo work is the best I've seen from him in quite some time.

You can feel the passion and the drive of the tone he speaks alone.

It is, to quote Jon Moxley with a Vince McMahon impression, "such good sh*t".

King Corbin vs Montez Ford.

This was supposed to be a tag team match between Sami Zayn, King Corbin and The Street Profits but Corbin had an idea for a singles bout instead.

Corbin won the match with the end of days and I gotta ask since I've been thinking of this after the match, why's Corbin so protected?

Are they leading him to something? I just quite don't know.

Zayn's match with Angelo Dawkins is up next and Zayn lost due to some distraction from Montez Ford playing around with Sami's documentary crew.

Sami took his frustrations onto one of the documentary crew.

Coooooool.

Dominik Mysterio vs Chad Gable.

This encounter was decent. Mysterio pulled off the roll-up because WWE, am I right?

Carmella fired her sommelier, Reggie and honestly, I don't blame her. This is what happens when he's obsessed with Sasha Banks.

Shayna Baszler vs Bianca Belair.

The tag champs are facing Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair AGAIN. WHYEEEEEE? Who wants this?

They just lost at Elimination Chamber. Huh? Major sigh.

Anywho, Baszler took the L for the second time in a singles match this week. Fan...tastic!

Apollo Crews Embracing His Nigerian Heritage.

This entire dialogue from Apollo Crews was of course, about his ethnicity and a bit of the intercontinental champion, Big E.

I'm gonna say the same thing I've said in my last week's review, Apollo's dialogue work is the best I've seen from the guy.

However, I am not feeling too well regarding this new iteration. It's so typical of WWE using the old trope of "foreign ethnic heel".

It sucks that I had to be negative given that I've always wanted a heel Apollo Crews.

Cesaro vs Murphy.

Before the match,  Murphy asked Seth Rollins if he could help Rollins on beating Cesaro.

Murphy? That same Murphy that wanted to have nothing to do with Seth Rollins and his motivation's? Well, that was dumb.

Cesaro won the match with the sharpshooter.

There was a "Ding Dong, Hello" segment backstage that ended oddly. Cool.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: The opening segment, Daniel Bryan vs Jey Uso in a steel cage.

Didn't like: The women's tag team championship situation on Smackdown, still not feeling with Apollo Crews' new persona, a bad backstage segment involving Seth and Murphy.

WWE Extreme Rules 2019 | My Coherent Review.

Man, I'm impressed with WWE in terms of PPVs as of late because overall, this was a fantastic show in my opinion with great matches but the crowd was dead for most of the show so that sucks.  I finally watched the pre-show match between Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura before I went to bed because the show aired at 2 am where I live and it was okay.  By the way, how interesting is it when on last year’s Extreme Rules show, Shinsuke Nakamura won the United States championship and now this year’s show, he won the intercontinental title. Also, it's funny that the intercontinental championship was the main event on last's year show and on this year's Extreme Rules PPV, it's on the preshow.  Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns and The Undertaker.  Mike Rome did better in announcing "The Best In the world" this time than on RAW. Mike Rome's announcement a few weeks ago sounded like that one friend that thinks he/she knows how to ...

NXT Takeover: In Your House 2020 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover: In Your House is like the rest of the Takeover shows, a fantastic 2 hours of professional wrestling.  What makes this show special is the additional nostalgia like how the show started with the NXT WWF inspired intro, the ice cream commercial narrated by William Regal doing his best Lord Alferd Hayes impression, icopro commercial and last but not least, Todd Pettengill.  This is a show that I'm definitely rewatching in years to come.  Mia Yim, Tegan Nox And Shotzi Blackheart vs Raquel Gonzalez, Candice LeRae And Dakota Kai.  A decent opening match. During the match, Nox did a Molly Holly top rope on to every competitor in the match.  Yim tried to give LeRae some Seoul Food but LeRae reversed that into a suplex. Several minutes later, Shotzi did a Salida Del Sol of some sort on Gonzalez to which Nox delivered the shiniest wizard on Kai and won the match.  Finn Balor vs Damian Priest. I actually thought that the closing mo...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Holy Sh*t, The Revival Are All Elite, Matt Riddle vs Timothy Thatcher In A Unique Steel Cage Match.

Both shows had its weak points but overall, that was an enjoyable 4 hours of professional wrestling television. I personally liked AEW Dynamite this week.  From an awesome women's match with Shida and Christi Jaynes to The Revival showing up, AEW managed to give me a solid episode and successfully furthered their storylines to next week's exciting show.  NXT   Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Kushida vs Drake Maverick vs Jake Atlas. Triple Threat Match Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.  What a way to kick off this episode of NXT, am I right? Atlas delivered the rainbow DDT but Kushida broke Jake's pin.  Speaking of Kushida, he nailed the armbar submission, however, Drake pinned Atlas because Atlas' shoulders were on the mat and will meet El Hijo Del Fantasma for the finals next week.  I don't know if Drake is rehired or he's going to be rehired but Maverick has a big ta...
