WWE RAW 7/12/20 | A Coherent Review.

Just like last week's episode, this episode was just kinda there. It is, by far, the most skippable wrestling show right now.

Randy Orton Reminds The Fiend Who The Viper Is.

Randy Orton showed up to the ring and reminded Bray Wyatt that the son of a b*tch is here.

Out came the devil himself, Bray Wyatt, via the Firefly funhouse and he introduced Randy to a game show because let's face it, we all know that Wyatt is a weird yet creative fella.

Orton challenged Bray Wyatt to a match later in the night but not The Fiend as Orton will take care of the man that hurts and heals at TLC.

I thought the firefly funhouse section of this segment was creatively satisfying. As a whole though, the opening act was decent.

I wish that the writing for this feud would've stretched out for a few more weeks instead of a 3-week build but it is what it is.

Shayna Baszler vs Asuka.

Now, this is a Wrestlemania main event level encounter if done correctly.

Unfortunately, this match wasn't the example because Shayna channelled her inner "dumb babyface cliche" or the rare "dumb heel" due to being distracted by Lana's attack on Nia Jax.

That distraction led to her loss via a roll-up from Asuka.

I went from liking Lana's storyline to slowly losing interest.

Being a fickle wrestling fan like myself, sucks man.

In a backstage segment, Riddle asked Ricochet and Dana Brooke about Bobby Lashley while holding some doughnuts.

God, I'm craving some. The Krispy Kreme kind.

Ricochet And Dana Brooke vs Reckoning And SlapJack.

Dana Brooke pinned Reckoning aka Mia Yim again. Retribution are portrayed as f'ing losers, no questions asked.

In another backstage segment, Keith Lee knows that Sheamus is getting closer to Drew McIntyre so that he stabs Drew in the back.

Miz TV. Special Guest, AJ Styles.

Styles said that Drew McIntyre's passion and strength wouldn't mean a thing come two weeks when the phenomenal one captures the WWE title once again.

The Miz and John Morrison decided to nail some terrible Irish and Scottish accents.

Sheamus sarcastically liked Miz and Morrison's impressions to which he called them out for a fight.

Drew McIntyre came out and he called John Morrison a b*tch. And then, a brawl happened.

The best part about this segment was the way McIntyre threw the Money In The Bank briefcase from the ring all the way to the stage area.

Other than that, what did I miss from this segment? Absolutely nothing.

Kofi Kingston vs Shelton Benjamin.

What year is this, 2008? All lame jokes aside, this bout was actually fun to watch. The chemistry between those two men was definitely shown.

Kingston wins this and Cedric challenges him to a match.

Because The New Day are good guys, Kingston accepted the challenge.

The encounter was like the Shelton one, was good.

Big props to the GOAT Kofi Kingston For pulling off two fun matches.

Drew McIntyre And Sheamus vs The Miz, John Morrison And AJ Styles.

There were some miscommunications between two friends in Drew McIntyre and Sheamus.

That miscommunication escalated when Sheamus accidentally hits Drew McIntyre with the brogue kick.

Styles took that as an opportunity to nail the phenomenal forearm on Sheamus to win this match.

Then, chaos ensued as Drew McIntyre and Sheamus were beating the hell out of each other but as soon as they took out WWE official Pat Buck, they seemingly have made it up.

The magic of friendship, am I right?

Asuka was motivating Lana going into the bout between Lana and Nia Jax.

Bobby Lashley vs Jeff Hardy.

Before the match, Riddle offered Jeff Hardy to join him and become a tag team called "Hardy Bros".

Based on the way Jeff left the backstage area, he probably gave Riddle a no answer but who knows?

The match was aight. As Jeff Hardy was tapping out of the Full Nelson, MVP tried to pull Riddle out of the ring but the bro kicked MVP to the barricade.

Lashley then threw Hardy on to Riddle.

The Riddle and Bobby Lashley match could be a blood spitting, bone-breaking and hard-hitting.

And you know what? I'm looking forward to this encounter.

Randy Orton vs Bray Wyatt.

Orton, by the way, had a meeting with the Ramblin rabbit.

The Fiend himself showed up after Randy hit the RKO on Wyatt and that's how the show ended.

I get that it was a way to protect Bray Wyatt but why the hell did this match lack an ending?

They didn't even pull out the typical DQ finish.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Kofi Kingston vs Shelton Benjamin and Kofi Kingston vs Cedric Alexander, the firefly funhouse bit in the opening segment.

Didn't like: How Shayna lost in her match with Asuka, the ending of the Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton match, Retribution portrayed as losers.

WWE Extreme Rules 2019 | My Coherent Review.

Man, I'm impressed with WWE in terms of PPVs as of late because overall, this was a fantastic show in my opinion with great matches but the crowd was dead for most of the show so that sucks.  I finally watched the pre-show match between Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura before I went to bed because the show aired at 2 am where I live and it was okay.  By the way, how interesting is it when on last year’s Extreme Rules show, Shinsuke Nakamura won the United States championship and now this year’s show, he won the intercontinental title. Also, it's funny that the intercontinental championship was the main event on last's year show and on this year's Extreme Rules PPV, it's on the preshow.  Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns and The Undertaker.  Mike Rome did better in announcing "The Best In the world" this time than on RAW. Mike Rome's announcement a few weeks ago sounded like that one friend that thinks he/she knows how to ...

NXT Takeover: In Your House 2020 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover: In Your House is like the rest of the Takeover shows, a fantastic 2 hours of professional wrestling.  What makes this show special is the additional nostalgia like how the show started with the NXT WWF inspired intro, the ice cream commercial narrated by William Regal doing his best Lord Alferd Hayes impression, icopro commercial and last but not least, Todd Pettengill.  This is a show that I'm definitely rewatching in years to come.  Mia Yim, Tegan Nox And Shotzi Blackheart vs Raquel Gonzalez, Candice LeRae And Dakota Kai.  A decent opening match. During the match, Nox did a Molly Holly top rope on to every competitor in the match.  Yim tried to give LeRae some Seoul Food but LeRae reversed that into a suplex. Several minutes later, Shotzi did a Salida Del Sol of some sort on Gonzalez to which Nox delivered the shiniest wizard on Kai and won the match.  Finn Balor vs Damian Priest. I actually thought that the closing mo...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Holy Sh*t, The Revival Are All Elite, Matt Riddle vs Timothy Thatcher In A Unique Steel Cage Match.

Both shows had its weak points but overall, that was an enjoyable 4 hours of professional wrestling television. I personally liked AEW Dynamite this week.  From an awesome women's match with Shida and Christi Jaynes to The Revival showing up, AEW managed to give me a solid episode and successfully furthered their storylines to next week's exciting show.  NXT   Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Kushida vs Drake Maverick vs Jake Atlas. Triple Threat Match Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.  What a way to kick off this episode of NXT, am I right? Atlas delivered the rainbow DDT but Kushida broke Jake's pin.  Speaking of Kushida, he nailed the armbar submission, however, Drake pinned Atlas because Atlas' shoulders were on the mat and will meet El Hijo Del Fantasma for the finals next week.  I don't know if Drake is rehired or he's going to be rehired but Maverick has a big ta...
