WWE NXT Super Tuesday 2 | A Coherent Review

NXT Super Tuesday II | WWE

Apologies for missing NXT Super Tuesday numbra Uno. I had a bad anxiety attack. But, don't worry, I'm doing well now.

How was NXT Super Tuesday 2? I enjoyed it. It is that simple.

Finn Balor vs Adam Cole For The Vacant NXT Championship.

WWE Photo

Yes, the big main event encounter like this NXT championship match just opened the show.

Nevertheless, it was a fun match. Cole at point, did a quick but impressive shining wizard.

The match concluded with 1916 from the top rope and the prince is the third ever superstar to win the NXT title twice.

Balor was the right person to win the championship simply because Adam Cole had a 300+ day reign as champ.

I think it's time for someone else to be known as THE NXT champion.

After the match, Adam Cole congratulated Finn with the two sweet hand gesture.

Babyface Adam Cole? Thumbs up.

Shotzi Blackheart And Io Shirai Beat up Both Robert Stone And Aliyah.

WWE Photo

Like the title above, they did just that until Shotzi gave the "I want an NXT title shot" face to Io Shirai.

We are getting a match between Io and Shotzi next week so this should be fun.

Candice LeRae invited Tegan Nox to her and Johnny Gargano's house for dinner to repair their friendship.

However, later in the night, the dinner turned into a disaster as soon as Nox brought up the time she showed up in Mia Yim's place.

Cool.

Meanwhile, Timothy Thatcher was disgusted regarding Damian Priest as NXT North American champion. Decent promo.

*ugh* Velveteen Dream vs Local Competitor.

WWE Photo

Dream won the match (obviously because he defeated a local competitor) to which Kushida beat the sh*t out of Velveteen Dream.

YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!

I like this side of Kushida already.

In a backstage promo, Breezango were happy that they'll beat "Imporium" again for the NXT tag team championship.

That tag team division is straight garbage which is odd because that wasn't the case even a year and a half ago.

Bronson Reed vs *ugh* Austin Theory.

WWE Photo

This was aight. The big man defeated Austin with the splash.

Roderick Strong vs Killian Dain.

WWE Photo

Strong picked up the victory with a knee strike due to some outside assistance by Bobby Fish.

Both members of UE tried to beat up Killian Dain until Drake Maverick came to the rescue.

Drake wanted to shake Dain's hand in gratitude for saving him but Dain hit the guy anyway.

It was fine although I do appreciate the fact that Dain is still maintaining his heel presence despite the fact that he's teaming up with a babyface to fight the heels.

Rhea Ripley vs Mercedes Martinez In A Steel Cage.

WWE Photo

I've been critical about this feud and Rhea's recent booking but the match was great not gonna lie.

Pun intended the bout was nothing more than brutality.

Ripley walked out of the steel cage the winner with the Riptide through the table from the top rope which was a great finish.

WWE Photo

Rhea has been losing some matches as of late so this was a suitable outcome.

She hasn't looked that great in MONTHS. I'm happy to see that.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos

Like: The steel cage match, the NXT title match, Kushida's aggressive side, Dain maintaining his heel persona even though he's teaming with a face.

Didn't like: Probably the fact NXT’s tag team division is horrendous.

Should Dave Meltzer Get Rid Of His Rating System?

So a few weeks ago, good old Dave Meltzer of the wrestling observer newsletter gave the Kazuchika Okada vs Kenny omega match at dominion 2018 a 7-star rating. According to the interent wrestling database , this match is by far his HIGHEST match rating ever (i don't blame him because the match was amazing). So statistically, this is his favourite match of all time . Now, why I'm writing this now?  Well, his best match ratings have been a consistent 5 stars since 1983 with the exception of all the Omega vs Okada matches and the Mitsuharu Misawa vs Toshiaki Kawada match at AJPW's Budokan hall show in June of 1994.  There are fans that take his match ratings as an offence somehow like "Why he rates X match better than Y match?" or thinks that he "hates" WWE which is ridiculous considering that he gave three WWE matches a 5 star ratings just this past year. One was the ladder match to crown the first ever NXT North American champion, the Johnny Garga...

WWE Smackdown Live 10/7/18 | My Coherent Review.

Smackdown live was a bad show that did nothing as a wrestling fan to gain any excitement for extreme rules. Why you ask? Well i'm gonna give you what's good. No scratch that, i'm gonna give you what's ok and what's bad. Here we go. WHAT'S OK The opening segment and the brawl after that The opening segment was meh. And the brawl after that was fine. Didn't make me go "OHHHHHHHHHHH" or anything like along those lines. That brawl leads to a TEN MAN TAG TEAM match (Ummmmmm no shit omar). I will say this, the segment kinda teased the fact that maybe kane will turn on his best friend? I don't know. Should be interesting.  Andrade "cien" almas vs Sin cara The match was surprisingly decent. At one point andrade delivered a devastating stomp to sin cara on the ring apron. Andrade wins with a running knee to sin cara on the middle rope. Hoping andrade can move on to bigger and better things.  WHAT'S BAD ...

WWE Smackdown Live 19/2/19 | My Coherent Review.

This show was overall, a skippable show just like RAW yesterday and here's why.  Opening segment.  The show kicked off with Shane McMahon with his usual cheap pop. After that, Shane McMahon announced that Aleister Black, Johnny Gargano, Ricochet and Tommaso Ciampa will be on SmackDown Live just like RAW last night (click here to read my RAW review).  Out came The Miz and he said that he hasn't stop thinking about their match at Elimination Chamber. Miz also said he admitted that he used Shane because Miz wanted to make Shane McMahon understand where's Miz's coming from.  Miz then wanted a rematch between him, Shane McMahon and the Usos for the SmackDown Live tag team championship to which the Usos came out and insulted The Miz.  That led to Shane McMahon saying that the rematch is on but at Fastlane in two weeks. So we got the first official match scheduled for Fastlane and considering that Shane is a McMahon and has all the Authority, I do...
