Clash Of Champions.
It's the night where all the championships are on the line.
EXCEPPPT the women's tag team championship and all the NXT championships.
This is a PPV concept that would've been more special had the majority of the titles never been defended so often.
With that being said, how was the show? It was decent as a whole package.
One of the reasons why I like the show was how early the show ended.
As a guy that lives outside of North America, I appreciate that.

PRE-SHOW: Cesaro And Shinsuke Nakamura vs The Lucha House Party For The Smackdown Tag Team Championship.
The match itself was decent.
Not gonna lie, the way Lince Dorado took the exploder suplex from Nakamura that had Dorado land on to the crowd area was great.
Cesaro and Nakamura get to keep the belts with the Cesaro swing followed by a Kinshasa.
Surprised? No.
I don't even know where the champions go from here because that tag division is straight-up dogsh*t.
MAIN-SHOW: Sami Zayn vs Jeff Hardy vs AJ Styles For The Intercontinental Championship In A Ladder Match.
Hey, look! A match that we've seen a few days ago but without ladders.
I like how during the entrances, WWE brought up their history in ladder matches.
One of which saw Sami Zayn in the 2017 Money In The Bank ladder match (now looking at that footage, I miss babyface Sami so much).
Speaking of Sami Zayn, that dude took a BEATING. Props to him, man. What a champ.
Oh, did I accidentally tell you who won the match because I called Sami "a champ"?
Either way, he did grab the belts to become the undisputed Intercontinental champion.
Every single person played into their elements perfectly especially for a guy like Jeff Hardy who's synonymous with the ladder match stipulation.
It is by far, one of the most unique ladder matches I've seen in a VERY long time.
Overall, a fantastic opener with some OMG moments that mostly involved Sami Zayn (I mean, it's a ladder match, duh?).
Even my thoughts on the match don’t do it justice.
In the backstage segment, Drew Gulak won the 24/7 championship.
However, he lost it later in the night by none other than the guy he won it from, R Truth. Cool.
Asuka vs Zelina Vega For The RAW Women's Championship.
Throughout the match, Zelina targets Asuka's arm ever since she pulled the empress' arm on the steel steps.
But, Asuka locked in her submission move to retain the title.
After the match, Asuka paid her respect to Zelina Vega but Vega attacked her anyway.
Is Asuka done for the night?
The match was fine. Nothing too special.
APOOOOLLLLO vs Bobby Lashley For The United States Championship.
Their match at Payback was good so was this no exception? Not really but it was decent though.
That frog splash from Apollo Crews was a beauty.
Unfortunately, that didn't lead him to become a 2 time United States champion because he lost with the Full Nelson submission.
I hope The Hurt Business is done with Apollo Crews and Ricochet because they've been feuding since June-ish?
A story must have a conclusion.
The Street Profits vs Andrade And Angel Garza For The RAW Tag Team Championship.
What a great foreshadowing, right? The match was aight.
It ended oddly with a spinebuster from Dawkins while Andrade git his shoulders up, the ref counted to 3 and that's how The Street are still tag team champions.
You know what that means, Rematch! Rematch! Rematch!
End this feud for God's sake.
The reports are true.
WWE are scheduling a draft on Friday, October 9th and Monday, October 12th that will definitely be well-thought-out and not a last-minute decision.
Bayley vs Someone For The SmackDown Women's Championship.
Post Wrestling and John Pollock reported earlier in the day that Nikki Cross will miss the PPV.
So, who answered the challenge? It was the RAW women's champion, Asuka of all people.
This should tell you how the SmackDown women's division has no seasoning to it whatsoever.
Bayley has no credible opponents to face so they relied on someone from the opposite show.
Did I mention that the match ended via a DQ due to Bayley using a steel chair?
At least, Sasha Banks and Bayley brawled.
Yet another example of WWE over-complicating their stories.
They could've called off this match just like how they called off the women's tag title match.
The worst part was that the match ain't good.
Drew McIntyre vs Randy Orton For The WWE Championship In An Ambalamb Match.
The match was decent.
Both men threw themselves on the ambulance door multiple times throughout the encounter.
Christian as well as Big Show minutes before came out from outta nowhere and attacked Randy Orton.
Shawn Michaels kicked Randy Orton's head off with the sweet chin music to Randy Orton that made the viper land all the way on the concrete floor.
McIntyre then nailed the claymore kick as well as the punt kick on Orton to close both ambulance doors and get to keep the WWE title.
The person driving the ambulance was Ric Flair himself.
Since Keith Lee pinned Randy Orton clean last month, I could see that being McIntyre's next rivalry for the championship.
Or, they could stretch this feud till Wrestlemania 37 or even SummerSlam 2021.
Roman Reigns vs Jey Uso For The Universal Championship.
The match that I was looking forward to the most and it was to quote Naomi's theme song, amazing.
The main event title encounter was all big dog for the most part.
Reigns delivered the low blow as Jey nailed the Samoan splash.
He then wanted Jey to call him the chief of WWE after he delivered him not one but two spears.
A couple of beatings later and Jimmy Uso threw out the towel.
Because of it, Roman is still the Universal champion.
From a pure storytelling standpoint, this outclassed everything.
The way Jimmy Uso said, "you're the chief, uce. Just chill" after Reigns forcefully wanted a beat up Jey Uso to say that was just *chef's kisses*.
That was a masterclass of its genre.
If there's one thing I've learned from this is, Roman Reigns is still THE guy and people shouldn't forget it.
So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.
Like: Roman Reigns vs Jey Uso For The Universal Championship, The Intercontinental Championship ladder match, of course, how short the PPV was.
Didn't like: The booking surrounding the SmackDown women's championship match.
