WWE RAW 3/8/20 | A Bit Late Coherent Review.

So. I just witnessed a live-action Def Jam: Fight For NY or maybe an unofficial 5 instalment of the  "Undisputed" movie franchise.

In any case, this is the Monday Night RAW review for the first week of August 2020 and I gotta say, I enjoyed it.

A few plot holes as usual on this program however, it was a fun show.

And yes, I am publishing this blog post, hours before NXT and AEW Dynamite (which if you want to know my thoughts on it, it's called the Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays and it releases every Thursday).

Apollo Crews vs MVP For The United States Championship.

WWE Photo

Before the match, MVP told Apollo that when Apollo loses, he goes back to catering, bon appetit (great promo).

Apollo retained the United States title with the pop-up sitout powerbomb. A meh match.

After Crews celebrated his win in an interview with Charly Caruso, MVP blamed his loss on technical difficulties (which they were through-out the show) and demanded a rematch at the biggest party of the summer.

WWE Photo

SummerSlam is looking like Extreme Rules 2.0 for the most part and you know what? I do not hate it whatsoever. The motivations for the sudden rematches actually makes sense.

Shayna Baszler punched Banks in the face in a backstage segment. I guess Shayna's officially a face?

Kevin Owens Show. Special Guest, Ruby Riott.

WWE Photo

Owens wanted to fix the friendship that is Ruby Riott And Liv Morgan. So, Kevin brought up Liv Morgan who we haven't seen in almost 2 months.

Ruby apologized for what she did to Morgan several months back.

WWE Photo

As she was about to further explain herself, out came The IIconics and they made fun of the 2 Riott Squad members for not having a strong friendship like The IIconics.

WWE Photo

Then, a brawl ensued leading to a tag match between all of these ladies and the babyface team won the match. The KO segment was surprisingly decent?

Drew McIntyre Basically Called Randy A Spoiled Brat.

WWE Photo

McIntyre called out Randy Orton for being handed this opportunity while Drew was a kid in a country with 5 million people that wanted to be part of WWE.

Drew also verbally brought up how Randy should've been fired years ago.

WWE Photo

Speaking of the viper himself, he showed up and he said that the reason why he hasn't been fired is that Randy is more valuable than Drew ever was.

Drew gave a flashback to the audience about how Drew needed some good words from Randy at Drew's lowest point in WWE but he didn't get that.

WWE Photo

Why? Because in Drew's words, Randy's a pr*ck. This rivalry just got a tiny little bit personal, to say the least. A fantastic segment.

Kevin Owens tells the nature boy that he'll challenge Ric's boy, Randy, to a match next week.

WWE Photo

So, Nia Jax's indefinitely suspended because she assaulted a WWE official, Pat Buck. The most random thing I've seen all day.

That Shayna Baszler feud with Jax came to a close pretty quick. I gotta ask, what was the point?

Shelton Benjamin vs R Truth vs Akira Tozawa For The 24/7 championship.

WWE Photo

Benjamin found out that his title was stolen. The person who took it was R Truth.

R Truth was running every area in the PC but he can't run for a while because he has to be in the ring for a 24/7 championship match.

WWE Photo

Due to some outside assistance from the Ninjas, Akira nailed a beautiful Senton on R Truth to win the championship for the 3rd time. *John Oliver voice* Cool.

Rey Mysterio's Hijo, Dominik, challenges Seth Rollins to a bout at SummerSlam in an interview with Sarah Schreiber. I mean, we saw this coming so this wasn't surprising.

Shayna Baszler vs Sasha Banks.

WWE Photo

That match ended via a DQ due to Asuka's attack on Bayley (a lame finish, mind you).

She was then asked by Charly Caruso about the awful RAW women's championship match ending.

The empress angrily expressed herself that she wanted a rematch for the red belt at SummerSlam (what's with people and wanting rematches?).

WWE Photo

Shayna Baszler tells Asuka that she'll cheer for Asuka to win the title so that the submission magician will take it from her. Banks accept the challenge if Asuka faces Bayley.

WWE Photo

I like the fact that Shayna's intentionally waiting for Asuka to win the championship so that she could immediately step in line for a title shot.

RAW Underground.

WWE Photo

Now, what in the world is RAW Underground? Well, it isn't a Lucha Underground ripoff if that's what you're thinking.

However, it's pretty much a place where guys fight in a ring without the ropes and Shane McMahon is behind all of this.

(aka Def Jam: Fight For NY except without Shane of course although it would be funny seeing McMahon nail his signature punches on to Warren G or someone else).

Later in the night, the hurt business beat up all the competitors in the RAW Underground making them its new top players.

At first, I didn't like this but ever since Lashley, MVP and Shelton Benjamin showed up, I was intrigued.

I can't fully say that I'm all in on the RAW Underground concept but at the same time, I can't bring myself to not like this idea just yet.

Angelo Dawkins vs Angel Garza And Montez Ford vs Andrade.

WWE Photo

As Montez Ford got a bit excited outside the ring, Ford fainted out and Dawkins got distracted from that.

Because of it, Garza delivered a dropkick and won the match.

Montez's match with Andrade is up next and did Ford somehow prevail in this bout? *Jon Moxley's voice* Nope. Montez shook the ropes once more and he suddenly fainted again.

WWE Photo

Well, my dumbass thought it was the ropes but the medical guys said that what happened to Ford was due to poisoning in his system.

Murphy questioned himself what he did but Seth Rollins convinced him that what he did to Aleister Black was the right thing.

Murphy then asked Rollins regarding Dominick's SummerSlam match offer and Rollins walked away.

Apparently, there was footage of some people dressed in black throwing *laughs profusely* fireballs on to the production box.

Seth Rollins Asks Tom Phillips A Series Of Questions.

WWE Photo

You read the title right, Seth Rollins asked him a series of questions in relation to his job as a play by play commentator.

Rollins was bothered by the fact that he was cheering on Dominik.

Seth and his disciple tried to take out Tom Phillips but he was saved by his broadcast partner, Samoa Joe.

WWE Photo

As Joe wanted to face Seth and his disciple in the ring, Dominik hits Seth from behind with a kendo stick to which Rollins says that he accepts Dominik SummerSlam match challenge.

Joe's role in this scene was the best part. I get a big kick out of a colleague defending their fellow colleague for some reason.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Opening promo from MVP, Shayna's role in the women's title program, Drew and Randy segment, the end segment.

Didn't like: The Shayna Baszler and Sasha Banks match finish.

WWE Smackdown 25/10/19 | My Coherent Review.

Another disappointing episode of Friday night Smackdown but it was a bit better this week. Still, a meh episode.  Miz TV. Special Guest, Team Hulk Hogan And Team Ric Flair.  Both team Hulk Hogan and team Flair were guests on the latest edition of Miz TV or at least most of it due to a brand split. Hulk Hogan mentioned in his promo that he's put out the greatest team Hulkamania of all time (are the mega powers and Brutus Beefcake a joke to you brother?)  Ric Flair replied by basically saying that his team will beat Hogan's team at Crown Jewel. Sami Zayn made a short joke and Gable tells Zayn that he embraces who he is.  Roman Reigns called King Corbin stupid to which Hogan proposed a match in the main event of this episode between most of team Hogan vs most of team Flair in a 6 man tag team match.  Sami on behalf of the team, refused to accept that but after Hogan said something to Nakamura in Japanese, Sami told Hogan that the 6 man tag ma...

The 5 News Week: Nor Diana's Story As A Muslim Female Pro Wrestler, Paul Heyman Rumoured To Be Behind Sasha Banks' Heel Turn?

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week.  Paul Heyman Rumoured To Be Behind Sasha Banks' Heel Turn?  Paul Heyman has made some plot decisions in the creative team for the red brand since his role executive director has to quote the rapper Rick Ross, "initiated".  One of those creative choices he has assembled was Sasha Banks' recent heel turn and the promo she cut on this past week's episode of RAW according to Wade Keller of PWtorch via his hotline show.  That promo she cut was executed decently yet it was written pretty indistinctly in terms of emotional impact in the story Banks' part of with Becky Lynch. Hopefully, she actually works with better-written material because that was not Paul Heyman's best work behind the scenes.  Nor Diana's Story As A Muslim Female Pr...

An Update On My Podcast.

I was supposed to start recording my first ever podcast yesterday.  Exciting, right? Unfortunately, my anxiety got the best of me and I feel really sh*tty about it.  As of yesterday, my panic attack was so bad that I built up a stomach ache that led to some vomiting.  I've never felt this emotionally wrecked in weeks.  Why am I writing about this? Well, it's time for me to open up on what's going with me personally and it's way for me to connect with you guys on that level.  For now, I'm sticking to the written word and the podcast will be delayed indefinitely until I get the confidence enough to speak.  So, see you guys maybe on The 5 News Week?  Take care of yourselves, people because to quote Spiderman in Avengers: Infinity War, "I don't feel so good".
