WWE RAW 24/8/20 | A Bit Late Coherent Review.

Monday Night RAW is going back. By that, I mean, back to back dull episodes.

By the way, I'm not going to write about everything that happened on this show but rather the things that were eye-opening.

The reason being is that the show wasn't engaging as a whole.

Drew McIntyre Opens The Show.

WWE Photo

He indeed did and in it, a promo was cut pretty much saying that he's ready for new challenges but if he encounters Randy Orton again, unlike SummerSlam, he will kick his head off.

Speaking of the viper, Orton attacked McIntyre from THE behind as the champion was in the entrance stage area.

WWE Photo

The beating continued in the gorilla position and the segment ended with a punt kick from Randy Orton.

By far, the best thing about this show. Started off hot and it stayed that way until the very next segment.

Keith Lee Debuts On RAW But With A Twist??

WWE Photo

Keith Lee interrupted a Randy Orton in-ring promo.

Lee came out with a terrible theme song as well as a skirt and a vest ring gear.

Keith's debut is an example of "if it ain't broke, don't fix" because they really tried to add something that didn't need adding.

Keith Lee faced Randy Orton later in the night but it ended via a DQ due to interference by Drew McIntyre.

Because of the way Drew was attacked backstage moments later, Keith Lee is scheduled to face the legend killer himself at Payback this Sunday.

The fact that Lee is in the main event program is cool.

Just bring back the theme music and some decent ring attire but I'm just nitpicking at the end of the day.

However, it should be noted whether his position in that main event scene lasts for a while or not.

Apollo Crews' Final Confrontation With Bobby Lashley Before Their Match At Payback.

Mark Henry moderated an arm-wrestling contest between Lashley and Apollo Crews.

That is interesting because back in 2007, Bobby Lashley took part in an arm-wrestling contest from the moderator himself, Mark Henry.

By far, THE best thing about this segment or even this show is when Henry mistakenly called Cedric Alexander, "Cedric the entertainer".

A laugh out loud moment right there.

I don't know how the match between Lashley and Crews at Payback will be booked or how Lashley loses the match (which is my prediction).

Considering that Bobby has been written like a destroyer for the past 5 or so months.

Retribution Strikes Again!?

WWE Photo

The masked group interrupted a fun tag match between Dominik and Rey Mysterio vs Seth Rollins and Murphy.

They beat the living hell out of Rey and Dominik. Seth Rollins and Murphy?

Well, they escaped as soon as they showed up.

The ending was surprisingly okay but as I said earlier, at least the match itself was fun.

Aleister Black Turns Heel!?

WWE Photo

Aleister Black was the recent guest on the Kevin Owens show and the discussion centred around one man, the Monday Night Messiah, Seth Rollins.

Black took his frustrations that he had for Rollins and Murphy on to Kevin Owens with the black mass.

While I didn't completely hate his "white knight" phase for Rey Mysterio earlier in the summer, I do believe that his momentum as a top player slowed down quite a bit.

This is something different for Black to play with aka a heel run so I'm interested.

Some things that happened on this show that wasn't really memorable like:

  • The Natalya/Lana and Mickie James segment.
  • A decent rematch between Asuka and Sasha Banks but in a lumberjack match for the RAW women's title.
  • RAW Underground that saw Lashley, MVP and Shelton putting the hurt in Hurt Business.
  • Montez Ford vs Angel Garza. It was meh.
  • Akira Tozawa won back the 24/7 championship. Cool.
  • Another meh match in the Riott Squad (except for Sarah Logan) and Bianca Belair vs The IIconics and Zelina Vega.
  • Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax are a unit? Huh?

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: The opening segment, Dominik and Rey Mysterio vs Seth Rollins and Murphy.

Didn't like: The confusing alliance between Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax, a boring second half.

WWE RAW 9/5/22 | A Coherent Review.

Yes, I didn't review Wrestlemania Backlash because one, I knocked out after a long day and two, why not? I did watch the show and it's like an episode of a Telltale game in that it's short and sweet.  How was the red brand this week?  Even though Wrestlemania Backlash is over, it still feels like I'm watching a build toward that show. It's like eating yesterday's leftovers with some fresh salad on the side, ya know. I'm hoping Hell In A Cell concludes everything.  The Street Profits vs RKBRO For The RAW Tag Team Championship.  Hey, look. A good tag team match, playas! Yes, they've fought each other more times than Call Of Duty sequels but like I said, I enjoyed it. RKBRO retained the championship with an RKO from Riddle to Montez Ford.  Rhea Ripley Is Now An Evil Goth Girl.  She said, "f**k them, kids". Also, why's Edge rocking the "I believe in white genocide" look? Ripley had a match with Liv Morgan and of course, she won the w...

AEW Dynamite Blood And Guts | A Coherent Review.

Another watchable episode of AEW Dynamite but this time, it features the first-ever Blood And Guts encounter. Kenny Omega And Michael Nakazawa vs Jon Moxley And Eddie Kingston.  Don Callis announced that Michael Nakazawa is going to face Mox and Kingston all by himself only for Kenny Omega to show up and compete in the match anyway.  A weird booking choice but I'm just nitpicking.  What wasn't weird was how the match ended with a double team dragon suplex into a clothesline from the duo of Mox and Kingston to Nakazawa.  Then, a beatdown ensued from Omega's Posse to Jonny Mox and Eddie Kingston. The Young Bucks vs Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston? I'm down.  It was revealed later in the night that a number one contenders match for the AEW championship is set up for next week's show between Orange Cassidy and Pac. I'm assuming AEW is saving the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega encounter for All Out?  Either way, AEW has the potential to tell an interesting story of ...

WWE Smackdown Season Premiere | A Coherent Review.

It is the season premiere of Friday night Smackdown even though WWE doesn't have an offseason.  Nevertheless, it was a decent program and had a WAY better ending than whatever the hell of an ending last year's premiere of Friday night Smackdown showed.  There isn't a women's match this week and all of the AEW fanboys are looking at this like, "sEe, WWE dOeSn't feATuRe wOmeN'S mAtChEs aLsO."  pictures via WWE.com The Season Premiere Of Smackdown 2020.  The show started off with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon highlighting the scheduled matches for Smackdown as well as the superstars.  Chaos then ensued thanks to a huge brawl. Then, the "super freak" Lars Sullivan came out and delivered the freak accident to Shorty G.  Somehow, Jeff Hardy attacked him and that led to the opening match of the night between Lars and Jeff.  You know, I'm kind of surprised that two white people in McMahon and Hemsley knew who Rick James is.  Maybe I'm igno...
