WWE RAW 30/9/19 | My Coherent Review.

The "season premiere" of Monday Night RAW was great at some moments but dull at few moments. It wasn't terrible thankfully, however, I wished that it would've had a strong season premiere.

The new commentary team was okay. Vic Joseph was very good, I couldn't hear Dio Maddin throughout most of the show and Jerry Lawler was surprisingly fine in this even though I'm not a fan of babyface King Jerry Lawler.

Also, we got new music for the WWE forever intro which I like better than the previous one.

Rey Mysterio Opens The Season Premiere Of Monday Night RAW.

The Master of the 619 credits Dominick for getting him to regain his confidence and earn a Universal Title Match.
Rey Mysterio came out and give a shout out to Phoenix, AZ (you know, a state that is so dry it's like you forgot to put lotion after you showered) and his son Dominic.

Out came Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman and Brock had a thought. That thought is to deliver Rey the F5 two conservative times and decided to beat up Rey's son for reasons I wish I knew which led to a third F5 from the beast.

WWE Photo
For a kid that hasn't taken a lot of bumps, he sure took the nasty ones. Yikes. Also, I barely heard Dio's reaction to this or am I going crazy? That being said, that was a great way to tell a casual viewer how destructive and dangerous Brock Lesnar is.

Alexa Bliss vs Sasha Banks.

WWE Photo
After Banks won her match with a roll-up to Bliss, Becky Lynch was patiently waiting on beating up Sasha and she got snippets of it but Banks ran away to the crowd area quickly.

WWE Photo

Becky grabbed a microphone and she told the boss that Banks can't escape inside Hell In A Cell. The time I took to make coffee without a coffee machine was longer than this match but it is what it is.

Becky's fiance in Seth Rollins had his interview with Charly Caruso about The Fiend but Seth wanted to address the attack to Rey and Dominic from Brock earlier and will owe Mysterio the opportunity to compete for the Universal Championship anytime.

Heavy Machinery vs Dolph Ziggler And Robert Roode For The RAW Tag team Championship.

WWE Photo

A decent match. Ziggler prevented the compactor and Roode delivers the Glorious DDT to retain the titles.

Miz TV. Special Guests, Hulk Hogan With Jimmy Hart And Ric Flair.

WWE Photo
If you've watched segments like this, you know how this segment played out but it did include two old guys teasing for a fight which had the crowd chant "one more match".

The Miz made an announcement that at Crown Jewel, there will be a 5 on 5 tag team match with two coaches in each team in Flair and Hogan.

WWE Photo
Those two guys picked their captains. Hulk picked Seth Rollins and Ric Flair picked Randy Orton. A match between Randy and Seth was supposed to happen but King Corbin randomly showed up and beats up Seth with the help of Randy.

Rusev also randomly showed up and he evened the odds. It would be really odd (see what I did there) if a black man was part of team Hogan. That was a dull segment. It reminded me of the format of the Superstar shakeup in the sense that superstars show up randomly like that.

WWE Photo
After that, Rusev was asked backstage by Charly Caruso about Lana but he didn't answer that and she then asked about why he has returned to WWE?

Rusev said that he doesn't want to talk about his personal problems and he instead challenges Seth to a match for the Universal championship given that the spot was opened.

Also, AOP had another of their sit down promos and in it, they talked about how the Authors of pain were built for violence and destruction. Decent stuff.

The Viking Raiders vs The O.C.

WWE Photo
A rematch from "The season finale" of RAW and it was pretty good. The Viking Raiders stood tall once again with a splash from Ivar to Luke Gallows.

Charly Caruso was giving an update on what happened in the opening segment but Cesaro interrupted her saying that the actions from the beast incarnate wasn't criminal at all and he would do the same if he was Brock.

WWE Photo

Ricochet showed up to say that if Cesaro thinks that he could do that then he should prove Ricochet otherwise inside the ring and did Cesaro prove Ricochet wrong? *Dean Ambrose's voice* nope. Ricochet won the match with a hurricanrana into a roll-up. It was okay.

Firefly Funhouse Time.

Bray Wyatt's puppet friends were getting anxious that The Fiend is going to face Seth inside the demonic structure next Sunday. So anxious in fact that the rabbit died but Bray didn't give a crap about that.

Bray stated that The Fiend cannot wait to hurt Seth Rollins at Hell In A Cell. As usual, this was some good stuff and not the kind that the pig likes in his chocolate.

AJ Styles vs Cedric Alexander For The United States Championship.

WWE Photo
Cedric at one point, delivered the flat liner to Styles followed by a suplex position into a kick but Alexander kicked out.

Styles then pulls off a Michinoku driver position into a reverse DDT which led to Alexander delivering the Michinoku driver of his own.

Styles managed to catch Cedric and hit him with the styles clash to retain the US championship. That was a fun match. If I wanted to have a very good season premiere then I would have a US title change but that's just me.

The Street Profits were promoting their tag team title match on NXT and also talked about The Fiend.

Meh, but I can't wait to watch that match which will be included along with AEW's Dynamite in my new weekly review article series called "My Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays" so make sure to stay tuned on this very site for that.

Lacey Evans vs Natalya.

WWE Photo
Natalya not only lost the match with a roll-up but she ate a woman's right from Lacey Evans (OMG so shocked).

Brock Lesnar's advocate in Paul Heyman told Sarah Schrieber about how Lesnar is in fight mode and blames Vince McMahon for inviting Lesnar in the "season premiere" of RAW.

Paul ends his advocacy saying that Brock will beat up Kofi relentlessly this Friday on SmackDown and become WWE champion. Paul in this promo, shows you why he's great at what he does.

Speaking of promos, Charly Caruso asked Maria Kanellis if Rusev was the father and Maria said no. Sasha then took Caruso's microphone and the boss said that she's been inside A Hell In A Cell match and that lends her the advantage to become the RAW women's champion. Good promo by Sasha Banks.

Seth Rollins vs Rusev For The Universal Championship.

WWE Photo
Both of those guys' didn't have a good time in the main event for two reasons. One, Bobby Lashley came back to bring Lana on the stage area only for her to kiss Bobby giving me flashbacks of Edge and Lita.

WWE Photo
Two, The Fiend came out to choke out Seth Rollins with the mandible claw. Oh, and the match ended in a no contest apparently. The way Bobby kissed Lana made me really uncomfortable.

WWE Photo
Maybe Lana's was in the Limo tease earlier that I forgot to mention? But, I guess she's celebrating Rusev day with a BBC.

What a way to end RAW like that am I right? Imagine this was a little kids' first exposure to professional wrestling and he/she sees this? I'm not optimistic about this storyline considering that it one of those stories that are like "been there, done that" but instead it's "seen it, not good" kinda thing if that makes any sense?

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: opening segment, Paul Heyman promo, Sasha Banks promo, AJ Styles vs Cedric Alexander, Firefly funhouse.

Didn't like: Alexa Bliss vs Sasha Banks, Lacey Evans vs Natalya, Miz TV, Rusev/Bobby Lashley And Lana love triangle.

WWE Extreme Rules 2019 | My Coherent Review.

Man, I'm impressed with WWE in terms of PPVs as of late because overall, this was a fantastic show in my opinion with great matches but the crowd was dead for most of the show so that sucks.  I finally watched the pre-show match between Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura before I went to bed because the show aired at 2 am where I live and it was okay.  By the way, how interesting is it when on last year’s Extreme Rules show, Shinsuke Nakamura won the United States championship and now this year’s show, he won the intercontinental title. Also, it's funny that the intercontinental championship was the main event on last's year show and on this year's Extreme Rules PPV, it's on the preshow.  Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns and The Undertaker.  Mike Rome did better in announcing "The Best In the world" this time than on RAW. Mike Rome's announcement a few weeks ago sounded like that one friend that thinks he/she knows how to ...

NXT Takeover: In Your House 2020 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover: In Your House is like the rest of the Takeover shows, a fantastic 2 hours of professional wrestling.  What makes this show special is the additional nostalgia like how the show started with the NXT WWF inspired intro, the ice cream commercial narrated by William Regal doing his best Lord Alferd Hayes impression, icopro commercial and last but not least, Todd Pettengill.  This is a show that I'm definitely rewatching in years to come.  Mia Yim, Tegan Nox And Shotzi Blackheart vs Raquel Gonzalez, Candice LeRae And Dakota Kai.  A decent opening match. During the match, Nox did a Molly Holly top rope on to every competitor in the match.  Yim tried to give LeRae some Seoul Food but LeRae reversed that into a suplex. Several minutes later, Shotzi did a Salida Del Sol of some sort on Gonzalez to which Nox delivered the shiniest wizard on Kai and won the match.  Finn Balor vs Damian Priest. I actually thought that the closing mo...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Holy Sh*t, The Revival Are All Elite, Matt Riddle vs Timothy Thatcher In A Unique Steel Cage Match.

Both shows had its weak points but overall, that was an enjoyable 4 hours of professional wrestling television. I personally liked AEW Dynamite this week.  From an awesome women's match with Shida and Christi Jaynes to The Revival showing up, AEW managed to give me a solid episode and successfully furthered their storylines to next week's exciting show.  NXT   Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Kushida vs Drake Maverick vs Jake Atlas. Triple Threat Match Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.  What a way to kick off this episode of NXT, am I right? Atlas delivered the rainbow DDT but Kushida broke Jake's pin.  Speaking of Kushida, he nailed the armbar submission, however, Drake pinned Atlas because Atlas' shoulders were on the mat and will meet El Hijo Del Fantasma for the finals next week.  I don't know if Drake is rehired or he's going to be rehired but Maverick has a big ta...
