Not an enjoyable show like last week's show but it was okay for a typical RAW episode but for a PPV build up, it wasn't good at all.
The Women's Tag Team Champions Opens The Show And…..
Paige started off this episode of Monday Night RAW and introduces the Kabuki Warriors which Paige hasn't been on their side for weeks and I'll explain that last comment.
Paige was putting over the warriors and Asuka grabbed her microphone immediately which led to Paige getting her mic back which led to Kairi Sane grabbing Paige's mic. Asuka splits that green mist to Paige to which Becky Lynch came out and brawls with Kairi Sane.
That betrayal from the Kabuki Warriors made a lot of sense considering that Paige didn't benefit them other than being their English spokesperson. Gotta give a big shout out to Paige for selling that green mist without taking a bump. That was great.
Becky Lynch vs Kairi Sane.
That was a very good opener. Kairi Sane reversed that suplex from Becky Lynch and turns it into a DDT. The match ended with a disarmher to one-half of the tag champs and the man prevails once again.
Kairi Sane looked great in defeat going into her tag match with her tag partner against team kick this Wednesday (which I can hopefully review).
Buddy Murphy vs R Truth.
Before this match happened, R Truth was asked by Caruso about his 24/7 title loss against one half of the Bollywood Boyz. Truth said that he knew that there's two of them and he now has glasses to get back his 7/11 24/7 European championship.
The rest of the WWE roster ran around the ring chasing the Bollywood Boyz which distracted R Truth and thanks to that, the Australian kicks him hard with the knee and won his match.
Akam and Razzar had their promo talking about intimidating the tag team division and then, The Street Profits cut an in-ring promo about how they want the smoke. Meh.
Ricochet vs Drew McIntyre.
A rematch from a very good match last week and they nailed it once again. Drew delivers that crucifix bomb on the top turnbuckle which is slowly becoming one of my favourite moves in all of wrestling.
Drew tried to do it again but Ricochet reversed into a hurricanrana. Ricochet was about to hit the 630 splash but he was stung by an RKO outta nowhere ending the match in a DQ. What an RKO.
The Viking Raiders vs Local Jobbers.
I mean it's great that they're undefeated but that match obviously proves that the RAW tag team division is pretty much non-existent.
Andrade vs Sin Cara.
Sin Cara brought up some backup of his own to even the odds and that person is Carolina who have signed with WWE this past summer.
Unfortunately, Carolina did not lead Sin Cara to victory because Andrade won the match with a roll-up. Not as good as their match last week but this wasn't bad either.
Charlotte Flair and Natalya vs The IIconics.
The Australian duo are back after the 2019 WWE draft was over and done with and they took an L with a sharpshooter from Natalya to Billie Kay.
Seth Rollins vs Erick Rowan In A Fall Count Anywhere Match.
This thing of "putting the same stipulation match as the PPV match they're competing in" is uninspired and generic af.
If you've seen a falls count anywhere match, you've pretty much seen this match you know, brawling outside the ring and then into the backstage area.
The finish of this match saw Seth Rollins pinning Erick Rowan with that type of vehicle that carries heavy objects that I don't know the exact name of. The match was dull.
AJ Styles vs Humberto Carrillo.
AJ Styles challenged Humberto Carrillo to a match in a backstage earlier in the night so that's how the match came about. Humberto at one point, hits a beautiful moonsault, however, AJ locks in the calf crusher to win the match.
AJ left Humberto hanging because Styles swerved him to a handshake. Carrillo was about to take the magic killer from Anderson and Gallows but The Street Profits came out to save Humberto Carrillo from an additional beating.
I wouldn't be surprised if the challenger for the United States championship is none other than Humberto Carrillo.
The "Divorce" King's Court. Special Guest, Rusev And Lana.
Aka a very bad Jerry Springer episode, Rusev was accused of being a sex addict, Rusev wanted a baby and Lana refused because she can't be a model with a baby in her belly (clearly not a fan of Maryse) but that wasn't the main reason.
The reason why Lana cheated on her husband is that she was told by Bob Lashley that Rusev cheated on her with no evidence backing that up.
Out came Bob Lashley and they brawled but with the help of a low blow from Lashley, He speared the Bulgarian Brute and the odd couple kissed with a passion to end RAW.
I had to think about what I just saw for hours and here are my thoughts. In an era of women's wrestling, Lana blindly believes Lashley that Rusev cheated on her wife is so 19 something. I don’t mind love stories in wrestling but this storyline especially this segment was poorly executed.
I thought that her motivation was that Rusev didn't give her whatever she likes based on that restaurant segment last week but I was completely wrong.
So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.
Like: Opening segment, Becky Lynch vs Kairi Sane, Ricochet vs Drew McIntyre.
Didn't like: Seth Rollins vs Erick Rowan, That ending.
