WWE Smackdown Live 27/8/19 | My Coherent Review.

That episode coming out of a very good RAW episode (which you can click here to read my full thoughts on it), was mediocre.

Don't know if Vince changing the script had to do with it or not considering that sometimes those changes ended up being a decent show but if the new script had to do with how lame the show was then I'm not surprised.

Kofi Kingston Is Not In A Good Mood (no shit, Omar).

WWE Photo
This episode of Smackdown Live started off with you guessed it, Kofi Kingston after Roman got a backstage interview about the reveal of Roman's attacker. Anywho, Kofi mentioned in his promo that he gave a beating to Randy Orton and how Randy made their championship match very personal when his buddies in The Revival strikes Xavier Woods' leg and when Randy brings up his family.

WWE Photo
At Clash of Champions, Kofi vows to prove Randy Orton wrong by walking out of that show still WWE champion. Randy Orton showed up via titantron and he said that he got a letter that was written by Kofi's son and Kingston wasn't having it.

Kofi rushed to gorilla position and suddenly, both Orton and Kofi were brawling but Kofi ate a DDT on the floor. You know, Randy could enter the rap game one day because the way he endlessly says "stupid" sounds very catchy. I know you're very much confused but imagine Randy rapping with the word "stupid":

"Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid.

Kofi as champion is not suited."

All corny jokes aside, some people on the tweets brought something up that this feud is a lot similar to AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe feud for the WWE title. As a matter of fact, this is a copy and paste of the Styles vs Joe feud but swipe those guys and replace it with Kofi Kingston and Randy Orton.

Hell, even on the RAW side of things, Seth Rollins as champion is basically Roman Reigns as universal champion last year. Roman Reigns won the Universal Championship from Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam and went on to feud with Braun Strowman.

Seth Rollins won the Universal Championship from Brock Lesnar and went on to feud with Braun Strowman (there are notable differences but the flow is still the same). In conclusion, the two main belts' storylines are a bit weak but at least it's not horrible.

Kalya Braxton interviewed Big E about what Randy did to him moments ago. Big E said that Kofi is ready to go at Clash of Champions but he can't say the same to Randy Orton referring that he's facing Orton. God, I love when Big E gets serious.

Ali vs Buddy Murphy. King Of The Ring Round of 16.

WWE Photo
During the first round king of the ring tournament match, Murphy hits a powerbomb, a knee strike and a suplex to the near fall (that was awesome).

The match ended with a DDT, a 450 splash and that's how Ali won the match in a very good effort. I mean, Buddy did take the L in this but just like his match with Roman Reigns two weeks ago, he looked great in defeat.

The Miz Is Not In A Great Mood After His Attack Last Week.

He challenges Nakamura to an Intercontinental Title Match at WWE Clash of Champions!
The Miz cut a promo about how Sami is a bottom level guy while Shinsuke Nakamura is the king of strong style and How he's confused as to why Nakamura actually teamed up with Sami Zayn.

Miz then challenges Shinsuke Nakamura for the intercontinental championship to which Sami Zayn came out and his promo distracted Miz so that Shinsuke Nakamura would Kinshasa the A-Lister.

WWE Photo
Look, I know that Miz has been losing match after match after match but Miz challenging Shinsuke Nakamura makes sense given that he ate a beating from Nakamura twice in a row and if I was a performer, I would challenge the guy to a match for the championship just to piss him off even more.

Elias was in Shane McMahon's office by himself and Kevin Owens enters because the door was open and Owens asked him about Shane's whereabouts? Elias said that he's not here and Kevin Owens respectfully left. That was odd.

Bayley vs Lacey Evans.

WWE Photo
Lacey Evans at one point, delivers a beautiful looking moonsault and minutes later, Bayley did a suplex on the outside floor. Bayley ended this match with a top rope elbow drop to Lacey Evans. This was okay.

Randy Orton vs Big E.

WWE Photo
Big E dominants Randy throughout the start of the match until Orton put his thumb on Big E's eyes which temporarily slows Big E down. Big E was going to deliver the big splash then, The Revival came out which helped Randy deliver the RKO and won this match which led to a post-match beat down on Big E.

Not a fan of this finish I mean Randy can't beat Big E all by himself considering that he has a title match coming up. That was weak.

Elias Wants You To Refer Him As King Elias Once He Wins King Of The Ring.

WWE Photo
Elias was talking about how he's going to win the entire king of the ring tournament and out came Kevin Owens to stun Elias with the stunner.

R Truth showed up with a referee and tried to pin Elias but Drake Maverick pulled him on the outside (which landed on Truth's face. Hope he's okay though).

Drake pinned Elias to win the 24/7 championship. Now, the dude can finally con his marriage.

Shelton Benjamin vs Chad Gable. King Of The Ring Round of 16.

WWE Photo
Will Chad Gable finally shut Benjamin up about his height even though they're the same height kind of? Yes, he did with a sunset flip pin in an okay match.

Daniel Bryan And Rowan Demand An Apology From The Big Dog.

WWE Photo
Roman Reigns was about to speak until Daniel Bryan and Rowan showed up via titantron and Bryan told Roman that he should air two words. Roman Reigns played a video about Roman's attack several weeks ago that showed Rowan or maybe that guy who's supposedly the attacker, was responsible for the attack.

Daniel Bryan gave a Stephanie McMahon series of slaps to Rowan and Daniel Bryan tried to tell Roman that he hates liars but Bryan got a spear from Reigns to end this show.

Suddenly, The Big Dog drops Bryan with a Spear!
That segment really played out as if that ending from last week's SmackDown didn't happen at all. The creative team pulled an X-Men continuity error with this storyline huh?

To me, Buddy Murphy being the attacker would've made more sense and they could say that the reason why he did is that he's been on the bench for months and attacking Roman was the only way he could get an opportunity to be featured on SmackDown.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos:

Like: Ali vs Buddy Murphy.

Didn't like: That end segment, that weak finish from The Big E vs Randy Orton match.

WWE RAW 7/1/19 | My Coherent Review

My first RAW review of 2019 and surprisingly, this show was decent. Now, would RAW put on decent shows in the coming weeks or months? Probably not but I hope that's the case. Now, usually on my RAW and Smackdown Live reviews, I give my thoughts on what's good, what's ok and what bad ( click here if you curious as to how the format looks like). However, since this is the new year, I'm gonna get rid of that and instead just put my in-depth thoughts just like my PPV reviews. Without further ado, on with the review.  Opening Segment The show itself started off with a brawl between Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley that lasted for a very short period of time. After that’s done, the opening segment started with John Cena and cuts a promo on how he’s gonna earn his golden ticket to Wrestlemania by entering in this year’s Royal Rumble match.  Out came Drew McIntyre and he said that Cena’s accomplishments is what Drew cares about. He then went on how he’s b...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Fyter Fest 2020 Came Back Swinging?

Last week, on this very series, I said that I enjoyed Great American Bash better than Fyter Fest.  Well, this week is the exact opposite. AEW came in swinging with night 2 Fyter Fest.  I've not liked a Dynamite episode in several weeks so it's nice to see that the show finally executed a great show since God knows how long.   NXT      Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Mia Yim vs Candice LeRae In A Street Fight. The match went underway after Yim quickly attacked Candice LeRae during LeRae's entrance.  In the crowd area, Candice tried to nail the suplex on the table but Yim got out of that position and kicked her to which she landed through the table.  The Streetfight concluded with LeRae striking Yim with the brass knuckles followed by a swinging neck from the top of the table onto a bunch of chairs and that's how LeRae defeats the HBIC.  A fun opening match even though...

WWE Smackdown 4/2/22 | A Coherent Review.

Gotta be honest guys, this episode didn't do it for me.  Besides the announcement of Ronda Rousey challenging Charlotte Flair for the blue women's belt at Wrestlemania as well as another challenge proposed by Goldberg aka NoBerg to the tribal chief, this, like last week's show, was as skippable as an anime filler episode.  Paul Heyman Was Like, "F**k That Brock Guy!"  Brock and Paul legit need some counselling because they've broken up and reunited together like my relationship with the Call of Duty franchise. To quote Gordon Ramsey, "DAMN! DAMN! DAMN! DAMN!"  All lame banter aside, Paul Heyman's promos before Goldberg's appearance was the only good thing throughout the entire show.  As far as how I feel about the idea of Goldberg facing Roman Reigns at the upcoming Elimination Chamber show, major Ls on this one.   Ricochet vs Ridge Holland.  Yay, the "one on one match that later turned into a tag match" cliche. The difference is t...
