WWE NXT UK Takeover: Cardiff | My Coherent Review.

via WWE
I don't watch or review the first NXT UK Takeover for some odd reason but I'm so glad I did because that was like the main NXT Takeovers, was absolutely great to watch. I'm just speechless and if you have watched the show then you'll know why (also, if you somehow didn't watch this show, what are you doing? Go and treat yourself with some wrestling goodness.)

Noam Dar vs Travis Banks.

WWE Photo

A very enjoyable opening match. Noam Dar proves that he's great at what he does with so many submission holes because if you don't know, I'm a technical wrestling connoisseur. Noam Dar won the match with a standing shining wizard.

Cesaro vs Ilja Dragunov.

WWE Photo

Always great to see Cesaro do what he does best and that's a fight inside the square circle. So, Ilja called out Cesaro because Cesaro's looking for an open challenge and Cesaro obviously picked his challenger.

The Swiss Cyborg started off this match by throwing Dragunov to the outside with a Cesaro swing minutes later.

Dragunov then hits the coast to coast and moments later, a Senton from the top rope. Cesaro finished this match with a pop-up uppercut and immediately delivers the neutralizer.

That was a good showing for Dragunov and he thought that he was going to get a post-match beat down from Cesaro but he gave the guy some respect.

Gallus vs Grizzled Young Veterans vs Flash Morgan Webster and Mark Andrews for the WWE UK Tag Team Championship.

WWE Photo

This match was insanely awesome with so many highlights that I can't talk about it all because it will be longer than any other review I've ever written besides the big 4 show PPVs of course but the last few minutes of this match was booked perfectly.

The Youngs Veterans delivered the pop-up knee strike to Morgan Webster but Andrews broke the pin with a shooting star press.

Flash Morgan Webster then pinned James Drake to win the NXT UK tag team championship. Like I said earlier, this was a fantastic match and I'm going to watch it again an hour after this review is posted.

Dave Mastiff vs Joe Coffey. Last Man Standing Match.

WWE Photo

Dave at one point, executed an Irish whip to Coffey which actually broke the top rope turnbuckle. Mastiff then strikes Coffey with a cricket bat more than once (that was brutal af). Coffey delivered a spear to Dave through a table that was set up on the barricade corner.

Afterwards, they started to brawl in the crowd area to which Dave had two chairs, gave Coffey one and they literally clash with it. Both men reached the announce table and Mastiff did a rolling senton on that table but it didn't break.

WWE Photo

This human of a demolition derby ended with both guys landed each other through two tables and when they used some production boxes to get back up while the ref was counting till 10, Coffey kicked one of them that Dave used to stand up in the 9th count and Coffey won this match. So, we got back to back fantastic bouts for two completely different reasons and I'm so f'ing satisfied.

Toni Storm vs Kay Lee Ray for the WWE UK Women's Championship.

WWE Photo

This was a rather short and disappointing match considering that the NXT UK Women's Division is so competitive and diverse unlike NXT and the main roster. Toni Storm hits the Storm zero finish but Lee Ray kicked out.

A nasty bump on the outside and a glory bomb later and she is the new NXT UK women's champion. Does that mean that Toni is joining NXT at some point because their women's division is pretty weak right now? Will find out soon enough.

Walter vs Tyler Bate for the WWE United Kingdom Championship.

WWE Photo

Well, I just contradicted what I said earlier. The match started off with Tyler Bate trying to put the big man down and he finally did that with a big body slam. Walter then channelled his inner Kevin Owens with a powerbomb on the ring apron.

Walter locks Bate in a submission that utilizes two arms and the back which led to a big standing splash. Bate delivers the T Bone suplex to Walter from the ring apron to the outside.

Tyler Bate ate a chop on the back from Walter but that didn't stop him from hitting a T Bone suplex for the second consecutive time inside the ring. Walter drops Tyler with a shotgun dropkick and quickly tries to hit a powerbomb but Tyler countered it with a sunset flip to a near fall.

After Walter ate a third T Bone suplex from the top rope, Walter delivers a T Bone suplex of his own and pinned a beat-up Tyler Bate but Tyler kicked out.

At this point, I told myself, "God damn it, this is the best match I've ever seen since Johnny Gargano vs Andrade for the NXT Championship at Takeover: Philadelphia".

The match, unfortunately, ended with a big clothesline from Walter and the Austrian big man retains the WWE United Kingdom title. Holy Moses, that was beyond an outstanding match.

The best match I've ever reviewed since I launched this site a year and a half ago and I'm not exaggerating. What a way to end the 2010s with that match. Tyler looked Fan. Freaking. Tastic in defeat.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: every match but the NXT UK women's championship match.

Didn't like: NXT UK women's championship.

Don't worry peeps. An All-Out review is coming hours after that show ends. Let me know what do you think about NXT UK Takeover: Cardiff and follow the blog for honest pro wrestling opinions. Anyways, stay safe smarks.

NXT Takeover: In Your House 2020 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover: In Your House is like the rest of the Takeover shows, a fantastic 2 hours of professional wrestling.  What makes this show special is the additional nostalgia like how the show started with the NXT WWF inspired intro, the ice cream commercial narrated by William Regal doing his best Lord Alferd Hayes impression, icopro commercial and last but not least, Todd Pettengill.  This is a show that I'm definitely rewatching in years to come.  Mia Yim, Tegan Nox And Shotzi Blackheart vs Raquel Gonzalez, Candice LeRae And Dakota Kai.  A decent opening match. During the match, Nox did a Molly Holly top rope on to every competitor in the match.  Yim tried to give LeRae some Seoul Food but LeRae reversed that into a suplex. Several minutes later, Shotzi did a Salida Del Sol of some sort on Gonzalez to which Nox delivered the shiniest wizard on Kai and won the match.  Finn Balor vs Damian Priest. I actually thought that the closing mo...

WWE RAW Reunion Show | My Coherent Review.

I really enjoyed this episode of Monday Night RAW but it's also sad that WWE can't deliver a good show without the help of the legends. Not that they haven't delivered a good show with the current roster but take the legends out, the show was pretty much skippable but I understood why it was considering that it's really hard to put current storylines in a reunion themed show.  If you wanna get nostalgic for almost 3 hours then this show is for you but if you want storyline progression then this ain't it.  Opening segment.  The show kicked off with John Cena and it feels weirdly nostalgic when his music hits. John said that he's so excited to be here because so many legends of the past are showing up and also joked about how the fans are finally nice to him.  The Usos came out and they wanted the Doctor Of Thugnamocis. They got their wish and Cena did a rap about their arrest. The Usos brought up their father in Rikishi with Grand...

Jim Cornette's Opinion On WWE's Deal With FOX.

Jim Cornette recently appeared on Talk Is Jericho about the state of wrestling ( Click here to listen and download the whole thing, it's really good) and talked about a number of topics but the interesting thing about this discussion is his opinion on WWE's deal with FOX. Here's what he had to say (shout out to WrestleZone for the transcript):  " Vince just got $2 billion for a TV deal. People are looking at All In, the resurgence of New Japan, and all that, but that’s going to be the most important thing. Now people with platforms are interested in wrestling again.  There’s a lot of money in wrestling again. For a while ratings were meh, and they still are, but at the same point $2 billion, how can you argue with that? In 2011, when Sinclair Broadcasting bought Ring of Honor it instantly became the second most watched television program because it was on 60 local stations.  That was still a wide gap from WWE, and IMPACT has gone in the other direction becaus...
