WWE NXT 28/8/19 | My Coherent Review.

A very enjoyable edition of NXT and I know NXT is under an hour and it's a lot shorter than the main roster shows but this show felt shorter like 10 minutes short.

Io Shirai vs Cami Fields.

WWE Photo
This episode started off with a theme song by Io Shirai that is actually growing on me week by week. Cami Fields has a very good look but she needs some character work and I hope WWE works on that at some point. Io Shirai won the match with a submission move that utilizes her thighs but I don't know the name of that submission manoeuver.

After the match, Io waited to destroy Cami with a kendo stick she brought up to which Candice LeRae rushed to the ring and Io ran like when your father came home after he found out that you skipped school. Can this feud please be for the NXT women's title at some point please the NXT creative gods, please?

Keith Lee vs Dominic Djakovic.

Did this match live up to the hype? To quote Stone Cold Steve Austin "Oh Hell Yeah". Also, didn't know notice that Djakovic has new theme music but now I do. Dominic kicked Keith's head off with that big boot.

Both men then tried to hit a suplex but Lee twisted the arm and hits an elbow strike. Lee did a crossbody and then minutes later, a pop-up chokeslam of some sort on the ring apron which was devastating to look at. Dominic countered that with a corkscrew moonsault on the outside and another moonsault this time inside the ring to a near fall.

Keith shocked the crowd and me with that Spanish fly from the top rope. The match ended with Dominic carrying Keith in the torture reck into a knee strike to win this epic match. Probably one of the best big men matches I've seen in a very long time and yes, it is a hight praise they certainly deserve. Congrats on both of those guys for that performance. So good.

Then, they played a highlight package of Johnny Gargano's run in NXT and Shane Throne approached the commentary team saying that why shouldn't the commentators focused on his winning streak which led to a commercial break. The way they went to commercial made me laugh unintentionally.

Shayna Baszler Encountered A Huge Surprise.

WWE Photo
Mia Yim frustrated on not getting the opportunity on facing Shayna Baszler but you know who is facing the submission magician? NXT UK's own Rhea Ripley and she got a huge pop from the audience. Rhea grabbed the microphone from Baszler and she acknowledges that Baszler has dominated this division but she hasn't beaten her "bitch".

I know I simplified the promo but God almighty, that was a great promo and segment overall. Rhea being the opponent adds a lot of intrigue in this feud and I think it makes a lot of sense that Ripley is the new challenger given that Shayna pretty much beat everybody. Really curious as to how Mia Yim fits into all of this.

The Street Profits vs The Undisputed Era in Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish for the NXT Tag Team Championship.

WWE Photo
The crowd at one point, chanted "we want the smoke" (crap, I love the full sail crowd). The match started at a slow pace like most wrestling matches which by the way, is not always a bad thing.

Dawkins gave a huge comeback with a double clothesline to Fish and O'Reilly including a vicious spear to Fish. The final match of this episode ends with O'Reilly hits the high low with the help of Bobby Fish and The Undisputed Era became the first-ever 3-time NXT tag team champions.

If you watched RAW this week (which you can click here to read the whole thing), then you wouldn't be surprised at that finish given that The Street Profits had their segment on RAW without those belts. Nevertheless, this was a good tag team match.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Rhea Ripley showing up, Dominic Djakovic vs Keith Lee, The Undisputed Era vs The Street Profits for the NXT Tag Team Championship.

Didn't like: Nothing.

Didn't expect an early review huh? I had some free time and I was like "why not watch NXT live and review it for you guys to enjoy?" Sound off in the comments below on what do you think about NXT this week? WWE Wrestlemania 26 | A Coherent Review.

I've teased a mystery review on my Facebook page (which you can click here to follow us) and that mystery has now been unveiled. It's Wrestlemania 26. This review was delayed and was supposed to be up last Monday but at least is now up. Also, The first draft of this review was 7 pages long so strap in. By far, the longest review on this very website.  I thought it would be fitting to review a Wrestlemania from a decade back and how do I feel about it? It was a show that if you watched it, you're most likely going to have a good time. It was a mix of great things but terrible things at the same time as most shows.  The 26th edition of Wrestlemania took place in the University of Phoenix Stadium in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, Arizona on March 28th, 2010.  The commentators were Micheal Cole, Jerry Lawler and Matt Striker. Honestly, Striker was pretty good and a far better colour commentator than Lawler was on this show (even today, Lawler is still bleh on commen...

WrestleFest DXB's Fahrenheit 971 | A Coherent W.

Being a fan of pro wrestling (or any other medium of entertainment) does have its pros and cons when engaging with the industry as a whole.  On one hand, you've witnessed an Eddie Kingston promo that'll make you tear up more than the opening scene of Up.  On the other hand, going to the wrestling subreddit will definitely have you questioning humanity as a whole and the fact that living in an area where a wrestling presence pretty much doesn't exist like a Vince Russo-written storyline that is, you know, GOOD!?  Luckily, the latter retracted my con as a fan because I'm talking about Wrestlefest DXB and their latest joint, "971 Fahrenheit".  Martin Bushby of now Post Wrestling Alumni brought the event to my attention because like a wrestler on an episode of RAW I get distracted all the time.  So, I decided to take a short journey to a taxi then a bus then a train then a 30-minute walk to the show itself and I know I'm going to sound biased as f**k but I l...

Let's Talk About The State Of Wrestlemania 37.

I usually save those kinds of pieces for my weekly news series, The 5 News Week due to how modern this subject is and how my essays usually dwell on the past.  Usually, it is too early to talk about an upcoming Wrestlemania in October but not this time especially since we're still in a pandemic.  This is a topic I've been thinking about all month and I had to write my thoughts on it.  Let's answer this question right away whether Wrestlemania 37 will happen in SoFii stadium next year?  from CBS Los Angeles The answer is an obvious no. But, I want to try to dig deeper and see exactly where we stand today.  As of me writing this, Wrestlemania: Hollywood edition is still scheduled to take place in SoFi stadium despite an outlet that shall not be named, claiming otherwise.  This is either sheer blind optimism or downright idiotic from Dubya, Dubya E.  WrestleVotes did mention back in July that while the event is still going to take place in the stadium,...
