WWE NXT 22/5/19 | My Coherent Review.

This was a great episode of NXT and it did a great job on enhancing an already hyped show into must see.

The show started off with William Regal announcing that at NXT Takeover: XXV, new NXT tag team champions will be crowned. The Street Profits vs The Forgotten Sons vs The Undisputed Era in Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch for the NXT Tag Team Championship in a ladder match. Sweet dreams on an ice cream sandwich, I'm looking forward to this match. Match of the year contender right there (I'm obviously joking but it is possible though).

The Undisputed Era Are On Full Swing Once Again.

The Undisputed Era came out and Adam Cole said that the rumours are not true and The Undisputed Era are stronger as a unit than ever before. Cole also said that The Undisputed Era will have gold on their waists after takeover and then Out came Johnny Gargano. Gargano said that Adam Cole can't beat him one on one without his buddies to which Cole replied by saying that he pinned Johnny Gargano once.

Johnny playing the sarcasm card, said that Adam might call him an idiot but in actuality, Cole is the idiot considering that Johnny has pinned him twice at Takeover: New York and he obviously didn't shook the school system  (that was a funny line, Bravo NXT).

While Adam was talking, Matt Riddle from behind, came out and started punching those guys to which the NXT champion assisted him. Yes, it ended on a generic note but overall, this segment was pretty short and sweet.

Sean Maluta vs Mansoor.

During the match, Maluta delivered a beautiful looking code breaker from the top rope. The match ended with Mansoor hitting a reverse DDT position into a spinning cutter. This was alright.

After the match, Cathy Kelly was getting an update from The NXT general manager’s office and William Regal said that Matt Riddle will face Roderick Strong at Takeover: XXV and Johnny Gargano will team up with Matt Riddle against Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish.

Experience The Velveteen Dream With A Returning Supermodel?

The Velveteen Dream came out and said that the people are waiting for the Velveteen Dream until the returning Tyler Breeze showed up and with crowd chants of “welcome home”, Breeze said that ever since he left NXT, the show has become lifeless with cheap knockoffs and wannabe impersonators.

Dream replied by saying that the spotlight belongs to a man and not a boy that plays cops and robbers (OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!). Tyler Breeze said that the North American Championship inspires him to which Dream said that the line for the North American Championship starts outside but Dream doesn't want to give Breeze a bad taste of Tyler’s mouth and asked him for a selfie.

Tyler accepted and hits the Dream with his phone. I cannot come up with an adjective of how good this segment was guys. This was great back in forth promo verbal action. Oh, and the match between Prince Pretty and The Velveteen Dream for the North American Championship is official for NXT Takeover: XXV.

Candice LeRae vs Rena Gonzalez.

This was okay. Candice LeRae won the match with a springboard moonsault. I hope they build up Gonzalez a bit more because she has a great look. After the match, Shayna and the gang came out and put a mugging on LeRae until Io Shirai showed up with a kendo stick and beats up Baszler and her gang.

Two matches announced for next week's show. One, it is a rematch between Bianca Belair and Mia Yim. Two, it is a one on one match between Kushida and Drew Gulak.

Johnny Gargano and Matt Riddle vs Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish.

This was a very good tag team match. So many near falls in this, for example, a slam position from Gargano into a kick from Riddle to O'Reilly, a suplex position from O'Reilly into a kick from Fish.

The match ended with Strong hitting Riddle and threw him to the ring so that the duo in The Undisputed Era hits him with the high and lower double team finish. After the match, The Undisputed Era were beating up Riddle and Gargano in a 2 on 4 beatdown and puts the NXT champion down with the last shot from Adam Cole.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos:

Like: The main event, the segment that featured The Velveteen Dream and Tyler Breeze, opening segment.

Didn't like: It's NXT, what do you think?

WrestleFest DXB's Fahrenheit 971 | A Coherent W.

Being a fan of pro wrestling (or any other medium of entertainment) does have its pros and cons when engaging with the industry as a whole.  On one hand, you've witnessed an Eddie Kingston promo that'll make you tear up more than the opening scene of Up.  On the other hand, going to the wrestling subreddit will definitely have you questioning humanity as a whole and the fact that living in an area where a wrestling presence pretty much doesn't exist like a Vince Russo-written storyline that is, you know, GOOD!?  Luckily, the latter retracted my con as a fan because I'm talking about Wrestlefest DXB and their latest joint, "971 Fahrenheit".  Martin Bushby of now Post Wrestling Alumni brought the event to my attention because like a wrestler on an episode of RAW I get distracted all the time.  So, I decided to take a short journey to a taxi then a bus then a train then a 30-minute walk to the show itself and I know I'm going to sound biased as f**k but I l...

Let's Talk About The White Rabbit In The Room.

I haven't reviewed last year's show mainly because it was so good and clearly as extreme as any ECW match and I'm happy to tell all 3 of y'all that this one is better by several inches or so. Why? *slaps my bald head* HERE'S WHY. The opening match between Sheamus and Gunther's crew ruled harder than the Mongolian empire.  It was basically an enhanced version of Sheamus' match with Gunther last night on Smackdown and I loved it.  The Brawling Brutes' victory means one thing that is clearly obvious, a rematch between Sheamus and Gunther for the intercontinental championship aka the only series of rematches I don't mind.  Ronda Rousey and Liv Morgan delivered in what was a wrestling match equivalent to the X-Men Dark Phoenix movie.  While Bianca Belair and Bayley had their equivalent to the first Iron Man movie in that it was decent.  Drew McIntyre and Karrion Kross had an okay edition of the "Meaty men slapping meat".  That spear from Edge to...

A Few Thoughts On RAW And Smackdown: RAW wasn't GREAT!?

Since this blog will be less of a priority now considering I'm focusing on my podcast now (hit the 5 stars on Apple Podcast you sons of b*tches), I decided to share my few thoughts on RAW, Smackdown, I guess?  Smackdown.  The blue brand delivered yet another good episode this week and it's probably due to the fact that Braun Strowman taking out the Maximum Model is high-key funny as f**k.  The folks over at Titan Towers are bringing back the essence of their characters whether it's Kevin Owens, Shayna Baszler or in this case, Big Braun himself.   As a fan, you gotta love it, especially since in the case of Strowman, the dude hasn't been the same since he turned heel 4 years ago when feuding with Roman Reigns for the universal title.   Other noteworthy segments include Logan Paul challenging Roman Reigns for the big world universal multiverse galactic cinematic championship.  Imagine they pulled that match off 7 years ago back when Logan was on V...
