WWE Smackdown 5/3/19 | My Coherent Review.

This was a 7/10 Smackdown Live episode actually. Good show with one entertaining match and here's why.

Opening Segment.

This show started off with everybody's favourite vegan, Daniel Bryan. At least he's my favourite vegan. Anyways, Daniel Bryan showed the crowd a video package about Kofi Kingston and then, he cut a promo saying that Bryan has been silenced after all of this.

Daniel Bryan also said that Kofi is nothing more than a supporting player and not a leader. Bryan then called Kevin Owens “just like everybody else” and here came Owens himself.

Owens cut a babyface promo saying that he's gonna keep Daniel Bryan's mouth shut. Back and forth promos between Owens and Bryan later and Kevin got a big face chokeslam from Rowan. A very weak segment and Owens’ face promo was kinda bland. However, I'll give this babyface run from Kevin Owens a shot.

Jey Uso vs The Miz.

WWE Photo
Before this, The Usos cut a great about how the team of Shane McMahon and The Miz are stepping up with a great tag team and they're gonna be welcomed to the Uso Penitentiary at Fastlane. Then, the team of McMiz came out to say that they're gonna make Cleveland, Ohio proud. The match itself was okay. Miz won the match here with the skull crushing finale to Jey Uso.

Backstage Interview time with Kayla Braxton and her Interviewee is The Queen. Charlotte Flair said that she will invite Becky tonight to have a “friendly discussion”.

R Truth US Championship Open Challenge.

Guess who answered the challenge this time? It was not Lacy Evans who at this point her gimmick is basically she comes and goes just like Vince's mentality but rather it was Samoa Joe, Rey Mysterio and Andrade.

This match was pretty good actually. Samoa Joe won his first main roster championship with the uranage to Andrade. This was a long time coming and I hope that Joe actually does something with the championship.

Aleister Black and Ricochet vs The Bar.

WWE Photo
This was an Okay match. After the team of Aleister Black and Ricochet won the match with the 630 to Cesaro, Rusev and Nakamura seek attacked Aleister Black and Ricochet to which The Hardy came out to save the NXT guys.

Mandy Rose vs Naomi.

WWE Photo
This was a quick one. Mandy Rose won the match with the underhook slam. After the match, Asuka absolutely destroyed the team of Fire and Desire.

Kayla Braxton interviewed AJ Styles about how he feels kinda sorry for Kofi Kingston considering that Kingston got robbed which led to Randy Orton coming out and replied with “Are you seriously talking about someone other than you {referring to AJ Styles}, deserves a title opportunity? {Laughs} man, I see why it took you 15 years to get here.” It looks like WWE is planting seeds for this feud (No shit, Omar).

Kevin Owens vs Rowan.

WWE Photo
This match ended quickly with a DQ because of Rowan and then, Mustafa Ali came out to save Owens and a brawl ensues. Great to see Mustafa Ali back in action.

Charlotte Flair Invites Becky Lynch To The Ring.

WWE Photo
After Charlotte Flair showed the crowd a clip from RAW last night where Ronda Rousey beat the crap out of Becky Lynch, The Man came out and said that Ronda hits Lynch with her absolute best and Becky is still standing. Charlotte then attacked Becky Lynch which led to Becky Lynch locking in the disarmher to Charlotte. Compared to RAW’s end segment, this was rather okay at best.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos:

Like: R Truth US Championship Open Challenge.

Didn't like: Opening Segment.

WWE Wrestlemania 26 | A Coherent Review.

I've teased a mystery review on my Facebook page (which you can click here to follow us) and that mystery has now been unveiled. It's Wrestlemania 26. This review was delayed and was supposed to be up last Monday but at least is now up. Also, The first draft of this review was 7 pages long so strap in. By far, the longest review on this very website.  I thought it would be fitting to review a Wrestlemania from a decade back and how do I feel about it? It was a show that if you watched it, you're most likely going to have a good time. It was a mix of great things but terrible things at the same time as most shows.  The 26th edition of Wrestlemania took place in the University of Phoenix Stadium in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, Arizona on March 28th, 2010.  The commentators were Micheal Cole, Jerry Lawler and Matt Striker. Honestly, Striker was pretty good and a far better colour commentator than Lawler was on this show (even today, Lawler is still bleh on commen...

WrestleFest DXB's Fahrenheit 971 | A Coherent W.

Being a fan of pro wrestling (or any other medium of entertainment) does have its pros and cons when engaging with the industry as a whole.  On one hand, you've witnessed an Eddie Kingston promo that'll make you tear up more than the opening scene of Up.  On the other hand, going to the wrestling subreddit will definitely have you questioning humanity as a whole and the fact that living in an area where a wrestling presence pretty much doesn't exist like a Vince Russo-written storyline that is, you know, GOOD!?  Luckily, the latter retracted my con as a fan because I'm talking about Wrestlefest DXB and their latest joint, "971 Fahrenheit".  Martin Bushby of now Post Wrestling Alumni brought the event to my attention because like a wrestler on an episode of RAW I get distracted all the time.  So, I decided to take a short journey to a taxi then a bus then a train then a 30-minute walk to the show itself and I know I'm going to sound biased as f**k but I l...

Let's Talk About The State Of Wrestlemania 37.

I usually save those kinds of pieces for my weekly news series, The 5 News Week due to how modern this subject is and how my essays usually dwell on the past.  Usually, it is too early to talk about an upcoming Wrestlemania in October but not this time especially since we're still in a pandemic.  This is a topic I've been thinking about all month and I had to write my thoughts on it.  Let's answer this question right away whether Wrestlemania 37 will happen in SoFii stadium next year?  from CBS Los Angeles The answer is an obvious no. But, I want to try to dig deeper and see exactly where we stand today.  As of me writing this, Wrestlemania: Hollywood edition is still scheduled to take place in SoFi stadium despite an outlet that shall not be named, claiming otherwise.  This is either sheer blind optimism or downright idiotic from Dubya, Dubya E.  WrestleVotes did mention back in July that while the event is still going to take place in the stadium,...
