The 5 News Week: RAW Tag Team Championship Belt Reportedly Getting A Redesign Plus So Much More.

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week.

RAW Tag Team Championship Belt Reportedly Getting A Redesign.

Both the RAW and the Smackdown Live Tag Team Championships belt design looks like in need of a desperate makeover for years now and according to a report from Heel By Nature, a belt insider by the name of Belt Fan Dan (cool name by the way) said that WWE has contracted Dave McMillan to design the men's tag team titles for RAW and Smackdown.

Dave McMillan is the same person that designed the "penny" tag team title belts and debuted it in 2010. The report also stated that the "penny" design was actually the design for the women's tag team championship but later WWE scrapped it because they didn't like it. Thank God.

TJP Responded To The Rumoured Reason As To His WWE Release.

As you might know, TJP has been let go from WWE under the 205 live brand. The rumoured reason is because of his tattoos apparently but TJ Perkins has responded to this on twitter and here's what he had to say:

Damien Sandow On His Acting Career And If He Could Wrestle Again.

The great Chris Van Vleet posted his latest interview with Damien Sandow on Youtube (click here to watch it) about his next chapter in life but Sandow also talked about his acting career and if he could wrestle again (shout out to WrestlingInc for the transcript):

"Right now I'm really just trying to focus on acting but that doesn't mean I'm never going to step in a ring again because let's face it, everyone says 'I'm done, I'm done' and everyone comes back and I'm just not going to be that guy." "What if I do get an itch someday? I don't want to niche myself into saying 'I'm just an actor.' No, I'm me. I'm trying acting and digging it but that doesn't mean I'm going to deny my past."

Ricochet Comments About Which Brand He'll Go To.

Ricochet, who by the way was a part of the highest rated RAW show of 2019 so far recently talked about which brand he'll go to in a short interview with WPSD Local 6

“I will be on RAW and SmackDown going forward. At least until after Mania. After Mania, it’s gonna be one or the other. I’m assuming, I don’t know. But that’s what I’m assuming. But yes, going forward, I am now an official member of RAW and/or SmackDown.” (Transcript via WrestlingNews.co)

Top 7 Best TV Wrestling Matches Of 2020.

2020 was to quote the 5 News Week Look Back article , "eventful, awful, wild and surprisingly quick."  That doesn't mean there weren't some good wrestling to watch on television so here it is.  My and I repeat MY top 5 best TV matches of 2020. some images via WWE.com #7 Cody Rhodes vs Darby Allin. AEW TNT Championship Semi-Finals Bout.  This list includes two matches that starred two people with fantastic chemistry. One of them is this gem of an encounter between Cody Rhodes and Darby Allin. All elite wrestling has introduced a brand new championship for the mid-card and was contested via a good old fashioned tournament.  The matches were fine but one of them stood out amongst the rest.  That, of course, being the Cody Rhodes vs Darby Allin bout at the tournament's semi-finals.  Allin actually pulled off a crossrhodes that looked so good that I don't mind him adding it to his arsenal.   The finish was executed a bit poorly which is why it is lower...

WWE Smackdown 25/10/19 | My Coherent Review.

Another disappointing episode of Friday night Smackdown but it was a bit better this week. Still, a meh episode.  Miz TV. Special Guest, Team Hulk Hogan And Team Ric Flair.  Both team Hulk Hogan and team Flair were guests on the latest edition of Miz TV or at least most of it due to a brand split. Hulk Hogan mentioned in his promo that he's put out the greatest team Hulkamania of all time (are the mega powers and Brutus Beefcake a joke to you brother?)  Ric Flair replied by basically saying that his team will beat Hogan's team at Crown Jewel. Sami Zayn made a short joke and Gable tells Zayn that he embraces who he is.  Roman Reigns called King Corbin stupid to which Hogan proposed a match in the main event of this episode between most of team Hogan vs most of team Flair in a 6 man tag team match.  Sami on behalf of the team, refused to accept that but after Hogan said something to Nakamura in Japanese, Sami told Hogan that the 6 man tag ma...
