WWE TLC 2018 | My Coherent Review.

TLC 2018 exceeded my expectations a bit in terms of how the show was like overall. In other words, it was decent but it was not a home run obviously. Now, Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the cruiserweight championship match between Buddy Murphy and Cedric Alexander but what I did see is everything after that. Without further ado, on with the review.

PRE SHOW: Elias vs Bobby Lashley

Well, that was a waste of time. Elias won the match. After the match, Bobby Lashley hit Elias with a guitar and Bobby along with Lio Rush stood tall. Thank God it was on the preshow.

MAIN SHOW: Mahalica vs Fabulous Truth

It’s either R Truth and Carmella or Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox are going to get the 30 spot in the Royal Rumble match and the winner is The Fabulous Truth.

After the match, Kayla Braxton asked where are they going to spend their vacation to which Truth answered by saying that the Fabulous Truth are going to WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut which made me laugh out loud. But the match itself is the definition of a bathroom break.

The Bar vs The Usos vs The New Day for the Smackdown Live Tag Team Championship

FINALLY! An entertaining match (no shocker considering that all those men are solid workers). During the match, Cesaro had Kofi in a suplex position and one of the Usos (can't remember) did a cross body onto Kofi from the top rope. The match ended with Sheamus delivered the brogue kick to Xavier Woods and won the match.

Baron Corbin vs Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman came out to ring and basically said that this match has no DQ stipulation which led to pretty much the babyface side of the RAW roster hit Corbin with steel chairs. Baron Corbin then exits the ring and out came Kurt Angle with a steel chair.

All the babyfaces delivered their finishers to Corbin, then Braun pinned him with his right leg and won the match. I like Baron Corbin and I can’t believe I’m saying this but he made RAW unbearable to watch and I’m glad that he’s not the acting GM.

However, considering that both Brock and Braun matches have been very disappointing, I’m not looking forward to the Universal Championship match at the Royal Rumble next month.

Natalya vs Ruby Riott

By the way, massive respect to Liv Morgan for that table bump. Minutes after that, Natalya put Sarah Logan through a table and evened the odds for this match. Natalya won the match with the powerbomb from the top rope through a table to Ruby Riott. Overall, a very good match.

Drew McIntyre vs Finn Balor

A decent match in my opinion. By the end of the match, Finn hit a dropkick on Drew while Drew was holding a steel chair and delivered the coup de grace to win this match. I really like the finish because it somewhat protected Drew McIntyre with the distraction while at the same time giving Finn Balor a desperate, much needed big win.

Rey Mysterio vs Randy Orton

This surprisingly was a brutal match. During the match, Rey did a sliding splash while holding the steel chair to Randy. The match ended with Rey delivered the Hurricanrana into a roll up and won the match.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton asked Finn Balor about the finish and Balor wasn’t too happy about the fact that Dolph Ziggler helped him win his match earlier.

Then Ziggler came and said “you’re welcome” which made Finn Balor upset (don’t really know why) and a brawl happened to which Dolph threw Finn on I’m assuming a steel pole. This didn’t need to be written let alone to be aired.

Ronda Rousey vs Nia Jax for the RAW women’s championship

this match was so much better than their first encounter at Money in the bank 6 months ago (no shit, Omar). Ronda won the match and retained the title with the armbar. Ronda has been wrestling for 8 months now and she’s a better wrestler than most of the roster.

After the commercial break, Nia Jax was Backstage disappointed on her loss earlier and Becky saw her and then assaulted Nia. Sweet, sweet revenge.

Daniel Bryan vs AJ Styles for the WWE championship

Started slow but picked up nicely in my opinion. The match ended with AJ delivered the small package and Daniel Bryan reversed that into a small package of his own which led to a win for Daniel Bryan.

Seth Rollins vs Dean Ambrose for the Intercontinental Championship

I really like both guys but this match was boring. So boring that I yawned 5 times throughout this match even though I woke up almost an hour before this show aired.

I’m actually surprised that WWE went with that finish. Dean won the match with the dirty deeds and is the new Intercontinental champion. A rematch between both of those men is inevitable but given that this match was a snooze fest, I’m not at all interested in a rematch.

Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair vs Asuka for the Smackdown Women’s Championship

I don’t how this match topped the match between Charlotte and Becky at Evolution but they somehow did. By the end of the match, Ronda came out to the ring and pushed the ladder which put both Charlotte and Becky down. Then Asuka immediately climbed the ladder, retrieved the title and just like that, she is the new Smackdown Live women’s champion.

Now, we all are going to assume that this match between Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey will happen at Wrestlemania. As far as who’s Asuka going to defend her title at Wrestlemania? I honestly don’t know and I’m going to let this play out. What a match and kudos to all three women for giving us an incredible match.

The 5 News Week: An Interview With Musician John Kiernan.

WE'RE BACK LADIES, GENTLEMEN AND NB! Now, what did I miss from the several week hiatus?  *Scrolls down at the news feed* a billionaire said something stupid. Monday Night RAW is still duh and uninspired. Mass release of talent by WWE.  So……. Same old sh*t? Figures.  For those unaware (pretty much everybody), The 5 News Week is where I showcase 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have the time to do separately.  Without further ado, here are the 5 News Week.  An Interview With Musician John Kiernan.  I kick things off with an interview from a guy that I'm hoping (as a musician) appreciates Brie Bella's theme song because my music tastes suck, musician John Kiernan.  If the name sounds familiar to you, it’s probably because you’re listening to a podcast that loves shouting out the names John “loose cannon” Lopez and ‘Beast Mode” Brock Joseph at the beginning.  Kiernan has composed and straight-up killed it in the pro wrestling musi...

Will Hobbs. Professional Wrestling's Powerhouse

"What's the most powerful house you can think of? Perhaps a bungalow, something that's low, unshakable, that kinda thing? ” Hey Ew, 2022 Think of the greatest big men in the history of the business. Big Van Vader who represents pure unadulterated aggression that seamlessly benefits his ferocious in-ring style ( see his match with Mitsuharu Misawa for more information).  Bam Bam Bigelow who's unpredictability inside the ring like his flying headbutts and moonsaults has made him spectacular to watch.  The Undertaker who have built a sense of aura by masterfully marching down the ring, creating anticipation in the process as well as constructing an expression of a man who hates video games and wants “men to be like men” .  And then there's Powerhouse Will Hobbs. A man who I believe in years to come is the heir apparent to the throne of “greatest big men in wrestling” and for good reason. Mr “I Break Backs Like Bane” possesses a power that belies his exuberance.  Why ...
