The 5 News Week: WWE Doesn't Have Big Plans For Daniel Bryan, Backstage Details About The Inner Workings Of Evolution.

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week.

NXT Takeover Is A Can't-Miss Show (No shit, Omar)

Why you ask? I mean for God sakes, the match card so far consists of a War Games match between The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong) vs. Pete Dunne, Ricochet, and War Raiders (Hanson and Rowe), Alester Black vs Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa vs Velveteen Dream for the NXT championship. I would love a hell in a cell match of some sort between Black and Gargano but that's just me. NXT Takeover: War Games is set to take place on Saturday, November 17, 2018.

WWE Doesn't Have Big Plans For Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan had his WWE championship match early on Smackdown Live this week against the champion AJ Styles which was supposed to be on Crown Jewel and the reason why it isn't on that show is because Bryan didn't want to be there for reasons such as Saudi Arabia didn't want Sami Zayn, who's of Syrian descent, to be on the Greatest Royal Rumble show several months ago which Bryan felt it was racist and the treatment of homosexuals. This by the way, was noted by Meltzer in the recent Observer Newsletter.

Now, Bryan Alveraz was asked on The Wrestling Observer Live with Mike Sempervive about if Daniel Bryan tapping out was a form of punishment and here's what Bryan Alveraz had to say (Transcript via Ringside news):

I was told that the finish on SmackDown last night was the Crown Jewel finish. So it looks like no big plans for Daniel Bryan throughout the rest of the year. He had just won a tournament for a championship match at Crown Jewel and he didn’t want to go to Crown Jewel so they had their match on SmackDown and they had a finish and everyone else moves on.”

Will see where Daniel Bryan and the WWE Championship scene goes from here.

Backstage Details About The Inner Workings Of Evolution

There's no doubt that this was the first ever all women's PPV filled with great matches such as Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch for the Smackdown Women's championship and Shayna Baszler vs Kari Sane for the NXT Women's championship.

According to PWinsider, the same production crew that worked for the NXT shows worked on Evolution and the reason being is because the same production crew for RAW and Smackdown were in Charlotte, North Carolina to start production for RAW that day. Kevin Dunn didn't direct Evolution but rather it was the same person who directed the Takeover shows. As for Vince himself well he arrived just before the show started and "observed the show" for most of the night.

Owner of Jimmy's Famous Seafood Raising Funds In Aid Of Roman Reigns

On last week's RAW on the opening segment, Roman Reigns broke the news that he has leukaemia. Relinquished the Universal championship in the process. Jimmy's Famous seafood which maintains a great relationship with wrestlers given that they praised their food and the restaurant features bullet club theme merchandise. They heard the news and they, in fact, are raising money for leukaemia research and here's what John Minadakis the restaurant owner said about this to sports illustrated:

Finding out that Roman has leukaemia was like a punch to the gut,” “He’s an incredible friend, so I was shocked when I heard.

“He helped me fight through my depression. When I blew out my knee, he would always check on me and tell me about the mental aspect of recovery. Now I believe that Roman will be the face of someone who can defeat cancer.”

he then continues...

From now on, until he defeats it, we’re going to put all our muscle and community efforts behind leukaemia research.”  "Roman also surprised one of the kids from Baltimore with a trip to WrestleMania, That’s something he set up himself with WWE.”

"There are so many people behind him,” “I want to show the power of the community behind him, and I want him to see that. It means a lot to him, he needs it, and it’s our turn to step up and do something for him".

WWE Are Planning On Debuting New Talent This January

And finally, according to The Wrestling Observer newsletter and Dave Meltzer, WWE are getting ready to sign and debut new group of talent as early as January of 2019 and are scheduled to undergo the routine medicals later this month. Meltzer also mentioned that they are notable stars in major wrestling companies but he hasn't mentioned their names but expect that to come out in the coming days.

Well, I hope you're caught up with the news and let me know your thoughts on the news I just reported and follow the blog for honest pro wrestling opinions. Anyways, stay safe smarks.

WWE Smackdown Season Premiere | A Coherent Review.

It is the season premiere of Friday night Smackdown even though WWE doesn't have an offseason.  Nevertheless, it was a decent program and had a WAY better ending than whatever the hell of an ending last year's premiere of Friday night Smackdown showed.  There isn't a women's match this week and all of the AEW fanboys are looking at this like, "sEe, WWE dOeSn't feATuRe wOmeN'S mAtChEs aLsO."  pictures via WWE.com The Season Premiere Of Smackdown 2020.  The show started off with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon highlighting the scheduled matches for Smackdown as well as the superstars.  Chaos then ensued thanks to a huge brawl. Then, the "super freak" Lars Sullivan came out and delivered the freak accident to Shorty G.  Somehow, Jeff Hardy attacked him and that led to the opening match of the night between Lars and Jeff.  You know, I'm kind of surprised that two white people in McMahon and Hemsley knew who Rick James is.  Maybe I'm igno...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Fyter Fest 2020 Came Back Swinging?

Last week, on this very series, I said that I enjoyed Great American Bash better than Fyter Fest.  Well, this week is the exact opposite. AEW came in swinging with night 2 Fyter Fest.  I've not liked a Dynamite episode in several weeks so it's nice to see that the show finally executed a great show since God knows how long.   NXT      Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Mia Yim vs Candice LeRae In A Street Fight. The match went underway after Yim quickly attacked Candice LeRae during LeRae's entrance.  In the crowd area, Candice tried to nail the suplex on the table but Yim got out of that position and kicked her to which she landed through the table.  The Streetfight concluded with LeRae striking Yim with the brass knuckles followed by a swinging neck from the top of the table onto a bunch of chairs and that's how LeRae defeats the HBIC.  A fun opening match even though...

THE Coherent AEW Take: Christian Dior, Dior. Eddie Kingston up in all the stores!

Ever since AEW Dynamite was on Saturday night for a bit, I've been WAY behind on AEW content so excuse my ignorance. And It's Full Gear weekend which means another PPV that would last longer than the Snyder cut.  Sheeit, I'll bet the collar and elbow hold alone from the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega championship match, is longer than the entire Queen's Crown tournament.  As far as how I feel about both programs this week, well.  They did an okay job on building towards the final AEW PPV of the year this Saturday. Rampage.   Highlights.  Bryan Danielson vs Anthony Bowens.  And no, the highlight doesn't include Max Caster's verses. I'll rather listen to f**king Riff Raff than Max Caster's dig on anything.  The worst part, people are probably going to look at this and say, "can't wait for a Max Caster's appearance on Wild 'N Out!"  With that being said, this opening match was good. Danielson wins with the rebel lock.  Eddie Kingston (wi...
