WWE Wrestlemania 37 Night 2 | A Coherent Review.

The second and final night of Wrestlemania 37 was to quote a popular word, "mid".

A few good wrestling matches were the highlight of the night but even then, it didn't stand out as hard as some of the matches the previous night.

The hosts of this year's Wrestlemania made their presence once again and the Hulkster was booed out of the building. That is awesome to hear #F**kHulkHogan.

Randy Orton vs "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt.

Randy Orton with white trunks just doesn't feel right to me but it is what it is, I guess.

The Fiend's entrance looked f'ing cool even though the dude has healing powers now like he's Katara from the Last Airbender or some sh*t.

Oh, and the stupid red lights are back! I'm so, so, so, so happy! Just when I thought that WWE got rid of the stupid red lights last year.

Alexa Bliss kinda looked like Senua From the Hell Blade game with the black liquid dripped all over here for some reason.

That led to the viper hitting the RKO to win this match.

Not a fan of the finish. Even though I've not been on board with this rivalry during its second phase aka after TLC 2020, having The Fiend getting his revenge by winning this opening would've made a lot of sense.

Also, as soon as this match ended, I opened the Twitter app (follow me @omartheplayaguy) and I saw a tweet that says along the lines of, "Bret Hart vs Owen Hart is the best Wrestlemania opener" which given how mediocre the Wrestlemania 37 night 2 opening match was, I f'ing laughed really loud.

Bayley continues to be ignored by the hosts of Wrestlemania. Again, that is sad to watch. Give that woman her hosting duties for God's sake!

Nia Jax And Shayna Baszler vs Natalya And Tamina For The WWE Women's Tag Team Championship.

Aye yo, this match was surprisingly good?

That knee strike from Baszler to Natalya looked brutal. Tamina had her moment and she was over with the crowd because of it.

Unfortunately for her and Natalya, they lost the match and the tag team champions are still tag team champions.

Who would've thought that a match involving Tamina and Nia Jax was better than a match involving Randy Orton?

Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens.

Logan Paul wasn't well-liked with the live crowd. With them booing Hulk Hogan and now Logan Paul, this is the closest thing to Florida being progressive.

Owens is trying to break Sami's neck with that brainbuster on the apron and a KO breaker.

Kevin survived a helluva kick and nailed a stunner on Sami Zayn to win the match.

I thought the match was good, good, good!

Zayn basically wanted to have nothing to do with Logan Paul to which Kevin Owens delivered the stunner to Logan Paul that got the crowd going wild. Fantastic.

Riddle had a verbal interaction with the closest thing to a sibling for Riddle, Rob Van Dam as well as The Great Khali.

Speaking of Riddle………

Riddle vs Sheamus For The United States Championship.

That springboard moonsault from Riddle that was followed by a brogue kick from Sheamus was f'ing cool and that's how Sheamus became a 3 time US champion.

Keith Lee is definitely getting the championship, right?

That title bout was decent. They've had better matches.

Big E vs Apollo Crews For The Intercontinental Championship In A Nigerian Drum Match.

In case y'all were curious, a Nigerian drum match is basically a NO-DQ match.

Dabba Kato made his mark at Wrestlemania by putting down Big E and because of the big man, Apollo Crews became the new intercontinental champion.

It is so funny that the commentators didn't know who Dabba Kato was given that we've seen the guy on RAW Underground for weeks last year.

WWE not acknowledging continuity? I'm so surprised  (sarcasm of course).

It is no secret that Apollo getting the title on this show was a predictable outcome.

Asuka vs Rhea Ripley For The RAW Women's Championship.

"Asuka has held the RAW women's championship for 200+ days" and she hasn't done anything noteworthy with the belt because of the all-powerful WWE creative team.

Rhea Ripley's Wrestlemania entrance kicked all sorts of a***** bruh.

I came out of watching this championship match with a satisfying feeling. The Australian a**kicker captured the red belt for the very first time which is what I like to call, the right outcome.

Bayley got pyro but she was interrupted by  WWE Hall Of Famers, The Bella Twins. As soon as Bayley mentioned John Cena's name, she took a right hand from Nikki Bella.

At least Bayley got some showcase. Wasn't expecting the negative reactions for The Bella Twins.

The next PPV for WWE is called "Wrestlemania: Backlash". Well sh*t. Forget about Wrestlemania week, we're in Wrestlemania month.

Roman Reigns vs Daniel Bryan vs Edge For The Universal Championship.

"Getting the championship that Edge never lost" bro, it's a different title, cut it out.

During the match, Edge almost injured his back with an Edgecution to Jey Uso on the steel steps.

Roman put Bryan through an announce table but he immediately encountered a spear from the Rated R superstar.

Both Bryan and Edge locked in the crossface on Roman Reigns which led to Edge delivering a series of headbutts to Bryan.

Edge nailed the conchairto to Bryan but Roman avoided the conchairto thanks to Jey Uso.

The match concluded with a spear from the tribal chief then a conchairto to Edge to which he pinned both guys to retain the championship.

This main event encounter RULEDUH! The ending of the match was even better. It made the tribal chief that much more dominant than ever.

Michael Cole did ask a good question, "who's gonna stop Roman Reigns?"

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Tamina and Natalya vs Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler, Rhea Ripley vs Asuka, Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens.

Didn't like: We're supposed to forget who Dabba Kato is, Randy Orton vs Bray Wyatt.

WrestleFest DXB's Fahrenheit 971 | A Coherent W.

Being a fan of pro wrestling (or any other medium of entertainment) does have its pros and cons when engaging with the industry as a whole.  On one hand, you've witnessed an Eddie Kingston promo that'll make you tear up more than the opening scene of Up.  On the other hand, going to the wrestling subreddit will definitely have you questioning humanity as a whole and the fact that living in an area where a wrestling presence pretty much doesn't exist like a Vince Russo-written storyline that is, you know, GOOD!?  Luckily, the latter retracted my con as a fan because I'm talking about Wrestlefest DXB and their latest joint, "971 Fahrenheit".  Martin Bushby of now Post Wrestling Alumni brought the event to my attention because like a wrestler on an episode of RAW I get distracted all the time.  So, I decided to take a short journey to a taxi then a bus then a train then a 30-minute walk to the show itself and I know I'm going to sound biased as f**k but I l...

Let's Talk About The White Rabbit In The Room.

I haven't reviewed last year's show mainly because it was so good and clearly as extreme as any ECW match and I'm happy to tell all 3 of y'all that this one is better by several inches or so. Why? *slaps my bald head* HERE'S WHY. The opening match between Sheamus and Gunther's crew ruled harder than the Mongolian empire.  It was basically an enhanced version of Sheamus' match with Gunther last night on Smackdown and I loved it.  The Brawling Brutes' victory means one thing that is clearly obvious, a rematch between Sheamus and Gunther for the intercontinental championship aka the only series of rematches I don't mind.  Ronda Rousey and Liv Morgan delivered in what was a wrestling match equivalent to the X-Men Dark Phoenix movie.  While Bianca Belair and Bayley had their equivalent to the first Iron Man movie in that it was decent.  Drew McIntyre and Karrion Kross had an okay edition of the "Meaty men slapping meat".  That spear from Edge to...

A Few Thoughts On RAW And Smackdown: RAW wasn't GREAT!?

Since this blog will be less of a priority now considering I'm focusing on my podcast now (hit the 5 stars on Apple Podcast you sons of b*tches), I decided to share my few thoughts on RAW, Smackdown, I guess?  Smackdown.  The blue brand delivered yet another good episode this week and it's probably due to the fact that Braun Strowman taking out the Maximum Model is high-key funny as f**k.  The folks over at Titan Towers are bringing back the essence of their characters whether it's Kevin Owens, Shayna Baszler or in this case, Big Braun himself.   As a fan, you gotta love it, especially since in the case of Strowman, the dude hasn't been the same since he turned heel 4 years ago when feuding with Roman Reigns for the universal title.   Other noteworthy segments include Logan Paul challenging Roman Reigns for the big world universal multiverse galactic cinematic championship.  Imagine they pulled that match off 7 years ago back when Logan was on V...
