WWE RAW 28/12/20 | A Bit Late Coherent Review.

Before I start this review, I wanna say rest in peace to Jon Huber better known as the person behind the character of Luke Harper and Brodie Lee.

It was a tough, painful 3 days for the pro wrestling industry and I certainly felt that.

If there's one thing I've learned from the number of great stories being told by the people he has worked with is that Jon is a charming, funny and overall a fantastic human being that loves his family.

After reading the countless amount of fantastic tribute posts (including from the likes of Molly Belle of Wrestle Inn and Andrew Thompson of Post Wrestling), that bit about Jon as a family man made me think of my current relationship with my father and the ways I'm trying to improve from my standpoint.

I know this is a cheese pizza saying but tell the people you cared about that you love 'em because that line might make their day.

So. Thank you, Jon Huber, for being the light that brightens everybody's darkness.

Now, How was the latest episode of Monday Night RAW that just aired hours ago?

It was a show that I surprisingly, didn’t get bored by. To put it simply, it was a good 3 hours of television.

After the opening intro before Jon Huber's tribute graphic, Tom Phillips uttered the most heartwarming line of the night which is, "it's Monday, you know what that means?".

Drew McIntyre Opened The Show To Thank The Fans.

After he aired the same line that Phillips said on commentary earlier (the God damn feels), McIntyre thanked his fans for leading him to his first and second WWE championship run.

Out came Sheamus and he told McIntyre that he kept his word that he wouldn't attack him in the tag match but what happened next was fair game.

Keith Lee chimed in and he was upset that Drew didn't keep his promise.

He went on to state that Sheamus might stab Drew in the back.

Both men were so fired up that Drew McIntyre wanted the match to start right now.

What's with RAW and having its superstars act like their the GM?

I know I'm nitpicking but it bothers me for some reason. Oh, and the segment was fine.

Sheamus vs Keith Lee. Winner Gets To Face Drew McIntyre For The WWE Championship.

Lee's offence or rather his style of performing has slightly changed.

It looked like at times that he wasn't used to embracing his newfound slow pace.

Now, we know the reason why (at least reportedly) but it's something I've noticed coming out of watching the match.

Nevertheless, the match itself was decent. Lee won the match and will go on to face McIntyre for the WWE title.

Gran Metalik vs The Miz.

Metalik took the W with the sunset flip on Miz.

Later in the night, Miz somehow got his Money In The Bank contract back because according to Adam Pearce, Morrison cashed in the contract and not The Miz.

I respect that they wanted to do something different with the briefcase by having the person getting back the Money In The Bank briefcase that they just lost.

However, that decision just made WWE unintentionally portray their referees as a bunch of idiots. At least for now, I’m not a fan of this direction.

In a backstage segment, AJ Styles showed up to Elias' locker room and told Elias himself that he was bothered by the loudness of Elias' guitar.

So, Styles challenged the guy to a match. Meh.

Shayna Baszler vs Dana Brooke.

Finally! Shayna Baszler actually won a match. She further damaged Dana Brooke in a post-match beatdown.

I will say this, Dana Brooke has really come a long way as a performer.

I'm glad to witness somebody that continues to improve inside the squared-circle.

Alexa Bliss' Playground.

WWE took the page out of the DCEU's book and decided to go dark like really dark (although, the dark in this segment is way better than emo Superman. Just saying).

She challenged Randy Orton to a confrontation of some sort even though he's in the Firefly funhouse.

At the end of the show, Bliss wanted Randy Orton to burn her alive.

Orton was gonna do it, however, the show faded to black after the lights went down thinking that The Fiend had returned.

What a cliffhanger that was. I can’t believe I’m saying this but the ending convinced me to look forward to next week’s show. Who’s writing this show, bruh?

Alexa Bliss continues to tell me as an audience member that she is the best character performer in this industry today other than Bray Wyatt.

In an interview with Charly Caruso, Charlotte Flair doesn't doubt that she'll defeat Nia Jax and her goal for 2021 is stay on top.

I wonder what she meant by saying that she wants to stay on top? Is she TEASING a turn on Asuka? Hmm.

AJ Styles vs Elias.

"Joe, you know best what it is like to get into the mind of AJ Styles"

Of course, he does Tom Phillips because OH WENDYYYYYYYYYYY!

Styles picked up the victory with the phenomenal forearm in a meh match.

Mustafa Ali vs Ricochet.

During Retribution's entrance, they did a Jon Huber tribute which I didn't catch that until somebody on Twitter did (the discus clothesline from Ricochet was a nice added touch).

They had a good match a few weeks back on this very show so it isn't surprising that this ain't the exception.

And just like their previous bout, Mustafa Ali won the match with the Koji clutch.

By the way, that DDT from Ricochet to T Bar that had the big man land on the ring apron was ruff.

Nia Jax revealed her new year resolutions in an interview with Charly Caruso. One, end Charlotte's reign on top.

Two, win back the tag team titles and three, enter the women's Royal Rumble match and win the match to face the women's championship at Wrestlemania. Hey, I almost forgot we're finally on Royal Rumble season.

Charlotte Flair vs Nia Jax.

I'm happy to see that Jax didn't actually almost kill Charlotte Flair again.

The match ended via a DQ due to a kirifuda clutch from Shayna Baszler on Charlotte.

Angel Garza's interview with Charly Caruso was interrupted by some 24/7 championship shenanigans. Cool.

The New Day, Riddle And Jeff Hardy vs The Hurt Business.

Love the armband from Xavier Woods that has Brodie Lee's name in it.

The discus clothesline and the Luke Harper pose was a great addition as well. The match itself was actually fun.

The Hurt Business wins one again with the full Nelson from Bobby Lashley to Jeff Hardy to which they tried to attack the rest of the babyface team but that team escaped.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Jon Huber tribute from various segments, matches and ring gear, Mustafa Ali vs Ricochet, the cliffhanger of an ending, Shayna finally getting a W, 8 man tag match.

Didn't like: Miz getting his Money In The Bank contract back.

WWE Smackdown Live 28/8/18 | My Coherent Review.

Overall, Smackdown Live was better than RAW in terms of having a somewhat good ending. Why you ask? Well, I'm gonna give you what's good, what's ok and the bad parts about this show were none in my opinion. Without further ado, this is my coherent, honest review of this week's Smackdown Live.  WHAT'S GOOD    New day's celebration  You have the new day celebration with their interaction with booker T and the addition of the spinaroonie or the spinaroonie, in this case, was entertaining and an odd but amusing opening segment.  Daniel Bryan vs Andrade "Cien" almas   Daniel Bryan's promo with Brie Bella by his side was like the Naomi vs Billie Kay match, it was there. However, the match itself was pretty good in my opinion. That chop by almas looked brutal bro like damn. Daniel Bryan wins Via DQ by miz beating him, almas hitting the hammerlock DDT, Maryse hitting a brutal looking DDT to brie bella and then miz hitting the skull cru

WWE Smackdown 14/2/20 | My Coherent Review.

Last night was my 2nd anniversary of pumping out written content on this site and I thought since this show has delivered 6 or sometimes 3 out of 10s for 4 months now, I've written some lyrics about my thoughts on Smackdown in the style of the current song opening for the blue brand.  If you wanna put the instrumental version of ACDC's Are You Ready while reading this then that's cool too.  *Cue the intro* Are you Ready?  Are you ready for mediocrity! Then, get ready for disappointment.  No one needs it.  No one needs it.  No one needs it.   Even Bischoff.  Are you ready for mediocrity! *ends with some guitar solos*.  The lyrics may suck but it is at least better than whatever the hell Justin Bieber meant when he sang his current single "Yummy".  Now, on with the review. The Return Of A Moment Of Bliss (Unlike The Return Of The Dirt Sheets, Nobody Really Cares).  Both Bliss and Nikki Cross talked about their c

WWE RAW 6/7/20 | A Coherent Review.

This episode of RAW actually made me look forward to Extreme Rules and that's something WWE doesn't do all that well in recent years. It was a great effort by the powers that be.  Dolph Ziggler Picks The Stipulation For The WWE Championship At Extreme Rules: The Horror Show.  McIntyre is waiting for Dolph Ziggler to pick the stipulation for their championship match at Extreme Rules.  Drew got his wish as Dolph Ziggler said that Drew has been stabbing people in the back and that includes the person that Ziggler brought up but not verbally, Heath Slater.  In a very emotional promo, Slater told his former 3MB mate that he was there for Drew McIntyre when Drew was fired from WWE in 2014 but the Scotsmen wasn't there for Slater when he was fired this year.  So, the one-man-band challenged him to a match and the WWE champion accepted. How was the match?  It was a squash bout. Drew wins with the claymore to which Ziggler was picking on Heath and Mc
