The Adam Cole vs Pat McAfee Match Wasn't Rehearsed!?

WWE Photo

This past week saw a match at Takeover that was great.

The surprising part was that it involved a pre-show host by the name of Pat McAfee AND the fact that it wasn't rehearsed.

At least, that's what it is reported.

Earlier in the week, Wrestling Observer Radio and Dave Meltzer (from Cagesideseats) said that the reason why the bout wasn't rehearsed is that quote:

"Just went in there and did it because they knew Pat was good and they know Adam is great."

Something really interesting to put out in the side, in an interview with ESPN, McAfee talked about how he perfectly nailed the Swanton during his bout with Adam Cole:

"Jeff Hardy came to my studio a year ago to be a part of the show, he and Matt. And we actually did a Swanton Bomb contest onto a trampoline that we had built in the office, off of a ladder.

And he gave me a high score, rave reviews. He taught me that. And that just seemed like the right thing to do at the time."

Samoa Joe Voices King Shark In Suicide Squad: Kill All The Justice League!?

Backlash 2017 | WWE

So. DC Fandome happened and it was nothing but exciting announcements as a fan of all things comic book entertainment.

One of those exciting announcements was Rocksteady's Suicide Squad: Kill All The Justice League CGI trailer.

In it, it had a familiar individual that voiced the sh*t talking, King Shark.

That individual is current Monday Night RAW colour commentator, Samoa Joe.

Joe himself confirmed it on Twitter.

I will be definitely rubbing my hands like Birdman once the game comes out in 2022 on the next-gen consoles as well as PC.

When's Jimmy Uso Coming Back??

One half of The Usos, Jimmy Uso has been out of in-ring action since April.

It's been 4 months and we got an update regarding an-ring return for Uso.

In an interview with Table Talk, Jimmy Uso pretty much said that he's eyeing for a January 2021 return.

Keith Lee Is Getting New Theme Music!?

WWE NXT: Marzo 18, 2020 | WWE

From Fightful Select (Cagesideseats), The reason why Keith Lee got some generic stock music as his theme song is that WWE is trying to tell its superstars to stop using CFO$ produced songs.

WWE owns 50% of CFO$'s music created for WWE. This WWE/CFO$ situation is worth its own separate article and I ain't going too long in this piece.

Sticking to Keith Lee, a reliable site when it comes to the music side of WWE, Arenataping tweeted out saying that Lee will have new music with lyrics.

All I can say is, I hope it's better than what they got.

Paul Ellering On Going To Manage AOP Once Again.

Paul Ellering | WWE

Paul Ellering recently spoke with the Two Man Power Trip Podcast.

In that discussion, the WWE Hall of Famer brought up the story of how he was about to manage AOP again (from WrestlingInc):

"The idea was to bring me back in, but then this corona stuff came up," Ellering said earlier this month. "Then the guys got hurt and they were out a while, so everything got put on the back shelf and I don't know where it sits now."

That would've been straight flames.

What do you think about the news I just reported and follow me on the tweets @omartheplayaguy. Anyways, stay safe smarks.

WWE Wrestlemania 26 | A Coherent Review.

I've teased a mystery review on my Facebook page (which you can click here to follow us) and that mystery has now been unveiled. It's Wrestlemania 26. This review was delayed and was supposed to be up last Monday but at least is now up. Also, The first draft of this review was 7 pages long so strap in. By far, the longest review on this very website.  I thought it would be fitting to review a Wrestlemania from a decade back and how do I feel about it? It was a show that if you watched it, you're most likely going to have a good time. It was a mix of great things but terrible things at the same time as most shows.  The 26th edition of Wrestlemania took place in the University of Phoenix Stadium in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, Arizona on March 28th, 2010.  The commentators were Micheal Cole, Jerry Lawler and Matt Striker. Honestly, Striker was pretty good and a far better colour commentator than Lawler was on this show (even today, Lawler is still bleh on commen...

WrestleFest DXB's Fahrenheit 971 | A Coherent W.

Being a fan of pro wrestling (or any other medium of entertainment) does have its pros and cons when engaging with the industry as a whole.  On one hand, you've witnessed an Eddie Kingston promo that'll make you tear up more than the opening scene of Up.  On the other hand, going to the wrestling subreddit will definitely have you questioning humanity as a whole and the fact that living in an area where a wrestling presence pretty much doesn't exist like a Vince Russo-written storyline that is, you know, GOOD!?  Luckily, the latter retracted my con as a fan because I'm talking about Wrestlefest DXB and their latest joint, "971 Fahrenheit".  Martin Bushby of now Post Wrestling Alumni brought the event to my attention because like a wrestler on an episode of RAW I get distracted all the time.  So, I decided to take a short journey to a taxi then a bus then a train then a 30-minute walk to the show itself and I know I'm going to sound biased as f**k but I l...

The 5 News Week: WWE Backstage. Cancelled Or Nah?, Liv Morgan's Re-Debut Was Supposed To Be Different!?

I'm back on my BS because it's The 5 News Week where I report on the 5 major or minor news of the week hence the name "T he 5 News Week".  Sorry for the week of absence. I took a week off of social media (except YouTube) due to the sadness I felt when reading those brave women and men tell their stories about the awful, terrible experiences they've had after their interactions with notable people in the industry.  It made me question my fandom and whether I should be in the industry (wrestling media-wise) knowing that they are asshats that will take an advantage on people for no reason other than more power and control.  This week proves that the business needs to wash all the old tropes that make it harder for people to express what's really going on especially when it pertains  to serious issues like sexual assault, racism, sexism etc.  I'm hoping that those stories will lead to a sudden change in every aspect of this profession and other ...
