WWE Smackdown 14/2/20 | My Coherent Review.

Last night was my 2nd anniversary of pumping out written content on this site and I thought since this show has delivered 6 or sometimes 3 out of 10s for 4 months now, I've written some lyrics about my thoughts on Smackdown in the style of the current song opening for the blue brand.

If you wanna put the instrumental version of ACDC's Are You Ready while reading this then that's cool too.

*Cue the intro* Are you Ready?

Are you ready for mediocrity!

Then, get ready for disappointment.

No one needs it.

No one needs it.

No one needs it.

Even Bischoff.

Are you ready for mediocrity!

*ends with some guitar solos*.

The lyrics may suck but it is at least better than whatever the hell Justin Bieber meant when he sang his current single "Yummy".  Now, on with the review.

The Return Of A Moment Of Bliss (Unlike The Return Of The Dirt Sheets, Nobody Really Cares).

Both Bliss and Nikki Cross talked about their celebrity crushes to which they introduced their guest, Carmella.

The number one contender for the Smackdown women's championship mentioned her friendship with the current Smackdown women's champion, Bayley but that all changed once Bayley and Sasha Banks got close.

Speaking of the champion, Bayley came out to say that she's a dominant champion even beating the hosts of Moment Of Bliss last summer.

Carmella replied by telling the champ to put her money where her mouth is and face her for the championship right now instead of later tonight and that how the opening match of the night happened.

Bayley vs Carmella For The SmackDown Women's Championship.

This was a good match. By far the best thing about this episode. The princess of Staten Island kicked out of a Bayley to a belly that led to a hurricanrana from the top rope minutes later.

Carmella applied the code of silence and Bayley transitioned into a roll-up using the ropes to retain her championship. The champion then attacked the former challenger and Naomi showed up to the rescue.

By the way, they were teammates back when they competed inside the elimination chamber for the women's tag team championship last year so that ending kinda makes sense among other things like fighting for the opportunity to face the champion at Super showdown next week on this very program.

The women are going to Saudi Arabia once again this time for the women's championship so will see how that match turns out.

Sheamus vs Shorty G And Apollo Crews.

WWE Photo

It is really sad that with two talented performers, they could not beat Sheamus in a 2 on 1 advantage. Sheamus wins with a brogue kick to Apollo Crews.

Carmella said in an interview with Kalya Braxton that the executives can name the time and place and she'll beat Bayley for the championship.

Hulk Hogan Exclusive Interview.

WWE Photo

Micheal Cole congratulated Hulk Hogan on being a two-time hall of Famer referring to NWO being inducted in the 2020 Hall Of Fame. Cole later asked if one of his memorable rivals, Bill Goldberg could beat The Fiend to which Hogan basically said yes.

That led to an NWO themed segment of the firefly funhouse and Hogan told him that facing Goldberg ain't no joke and also said, "good luck".

Bray Wyatt replied, "I don't need luck, I have A Fiend". While I'm interested in how the Universal championship match will be constructed, the build so far is not working for me.

Sami Zayn Host His Own Concert.

WWE Photo

You read that right, Sami Zayn hosted his own concert and was about to sing until he was interrupted by Elias which is kinda funny considering that Elias' concert has been interrupted by several superstars in his current main roster tenure.

Zayn stated that he'll let his ringside security guards get rid of him but somehow allowed the guy to enter the ring and hear his piece of music.

The crowd started to chant "we want cowbell" because the way Cesaro used the cowbell interrupts the flow of his song.

Both guys then stomped on Elias but Braun Strowman stormed in the ring and destroyed the security guards. If it wasn't for the Vancouver crowd, this segment would've sucked so thanks Canada.

An Otis And Mandy Rose Valentine's Day Date.

Just Thought It Fits.
Mandy Rose was waiting for Otis and she thought the person that touched her shoulder was Otis but it was Dolph Ziggler. Otis saw both Ziggler and Rose sitting, having a conversation and that broke Otis' heart.

That made me hate Ziggler after watching this segment in a good way. It makes you even more invested in this story and also want to see Ziggler get his ass kicked. I'm very curious as to how this story leads to.

Roman Reigns And A Mystery Partner Vs The Miz And John Morrison.

Roman Reigns' partner is none other than his Hell In A Cell 2019 partner, Daniel Bryan.

Speaking of Hell In A Cell, the 3 participants in this tag team match in Daniel Bryan, The Miz and John Morrison actually faced each other in a triple threat match for the United States championship at the 2010 Hell In A Cell PPV so there's a fun fact for you.

The match itself was okay. The Miz mocks Bryan by trying to hit the running knee but Roman Reigns reversed that and delivers a spear to win this match. Having the number one contenders' for the Smackdown tag titles lose especially with a clean sweep win from Reigns and Bryan doesn't make a whole lotta sense.

After that, King Corbin immediately hits on Roman's head with the sceptre. Can WWE for the love of mankind (not the Mick Foley version) end this feud?

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Bayley vs Carmella, The Otis' valentine's day date with Mandy Rose.

Didn't like: a lot of stomach aching filler, how the tag team main event match ended.

WWE Extreme Rules 2019 | My Coherent Review.

Man, I'm impressed with WWE in terms of PPVs as of late because overall, this was a fantastic show in my opinion with great matches but the crowd was dead for most of the show so that sucks.  I finally watched the pre-show match between Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura before I went to bed because the show aired at 2 am where I live and it was okay.  By the way, how interesting is it when on last year’s Extreme Rules show, Shinsuke Nakamura won the United States championship and now this year’s show, he won the intercontinental title. Also, it's funny that the intercontinental championship was the main event on last's year show and on this year's Extreme Rules PPV, it's on the preshow.  Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns and The Undertaker.  Mike Rome did better in announcing "The Best In the world" this time than on RAW. Mike Rome's announcement a few weeks ago sounded like that one friend that thinks he/she knows how to ...

NXT Takeover: In Your House 2020 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover: In Your House is like the rest of the Takeover shows, a fantastic 2 hours of professional wrestling.  What makes this show special is the additional nostalgia like how the show started with the NXT WWF inspired intro, the ice cream commercial narrated by William Regal doing his best Lord Alferd Hayes impression, icopro commercial and last but not least, Todd Pettengill.  This is a show that I'm definitely rewatching in years to come.  Mia Yim, Tegan Nox And Shotzi Blackheart vs Raquel Gonzalez, Candice LeRae And Dakota Kai.  A decent opening match. During the match, Nox did a Molly Holly top rope on to every competitor in the match.  Yim tried to give LeRae some Seoul Food but LeRae reversed that into a suplex. Several minutes later, Shotzi did a Salida Del Sol of some sort on Gonzalez to which Nox delivered the shiniest wizard on Kai and won the match.  Finn Balor vs Damian Priest. I actually thought that the closing mo...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Holy Sh*t, The Revival Are All Elite, Matt Riddle vs Timothy Thatcher In A Unique Steel Cage Match.

Both shows had its weak points but overall, that was an enjoyable 4 hours of professional wrestling television. I personally liked AEW Dynamite this week.  From an awesome women's match with Shida and Christi Jaynes to The Revival showing up, AEW managed to give me a solid episode and successfully furthered their storylines to next week's exciting show.  NXT   Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Kushida vs Drake Maverick vs Jake Atlas. Triple Threat Match Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.  What a way to kick off this episode of NXT, am I right? Atlas delivered the rainbow DDT but Kushida broke Jake's pin.  Speaking of Kushida, he nailed the armbar submission, however, Drake pinned Atlas because Atlas' shoulders were on the mat and will meet El Hijo Del Fantasma for the finals next week.  I don't know if Drake is rehired or he's going to be rehired but Maverick has a big ta...
