WWE Smackdown 6/12/19 | My Coherent Review.

This like Monday Night RAW earlier this week was a filler episode but unlike Smackdown, I actually enjoyed RAW. My overall thoughts, a bad 2 hours of professional wrestling television.

Miz TV.  Special Guest, Originally Daniel Bryan.

WWE Photo
I say originally because Daniel Bryan was taken under the ring by the Fiend last week and The Miz says that he cares about Daniel Bryan.

Bray Wyatt showed up via a firefly funhouse segment and the whole theme of the funhouse is family. Wyatt then proceeds to show Miz's picture of his family and escapes the ring.

While the segment was fine, it is the most interesting story being told in this episode. Also, The Miz is facing Bray Wyatt but not The Fiend and rather the firefly funhouse Bray Wyatt at TLC so that should be interesting.

Mandy Rose vs Alexa Bliss.

WWE Photo
Rose puts Bliss down and she rips Bliss's eyes lashes off. Alexa countered that with a twisted Bliss moments later and won the match. Meh.

Drake Maverick had an interaction with Dana Brooke to which Elias sings a song basically humiliating Maverick. Drake then slaps Elias and rushes to the ring to call out Elias for a fight.

WWE Photo
Elias shows up and he once again, humiliates Drake Maverick this time it was *queue Olivia Newton-John* physical, physical (I'll stop). Okay, you're telling me that Elias is the babyface in this? Huh?

Miz opens a door and sees his family picture. Bray tells him from behind, "say cheese" and puts Miz down with sister Abigail.

Mustafa Ali And Shorty G vs Lucha House Party vs The Revival vs Heavy Machinery. Elimination Match Number One Contenders Match For The Smackdown Tag Team Championship.

WWE Photo
Ali and Metalik had an impressive back and forth reversals. Speaking of Gran Metalik, Heavy Machinery got rid of the Lucha House Party with the compactor to Metalik but the big men were eliminated by The Revival with a roll-up from Dash Wilder to Otis.

The last few moments were pretty good actually. Gable threw both members of The Revival with a German suplex however, Gable ate the shatter machine and The Revival becomes number one contender.

Revival states in an after match promo that they're bringing the old days back by taking the title away from The New Day and restores what makes tag team wrestling great.

A good match with a finish that anybody could see it coming. Should be a good match though.

We went from a Roman Reigns interview about this upcoming match to Sheamus' promo saying that Smackdown has become weak and he's coming home. My god, Sheamus looks great.

WWE Photo
After Lacey Evans squashed a jobber with the women's right, Sasha Banks came out basically saying that Evans is an embarrassment to her daughter and Evans replied saying that she was taught in the marines to fight which that's exactly what happened. Bayley then attacked Evans out of nowhere. Meh.

Roman Reigns vs Dolph Ziggler.

WWE Photo
Ziggler pushes Roman onto the ring post and hits the zig-zag but Reigns kicked out. Corbin argues with the ref and Roman hits him with the superman punch, delivers the spear to Ziggler and Roman wins this one.

Reigns was assaulted by a bunch of security guards hired by the 2019 King Of The Ring winner and handcuffed Roman which led to Dolph throwing him some dog food because get it? He calls himself the big dog?

Boy, that was horrible. I don't know what WWE was thinking of putting the ending of this episode together thinking that it's so good.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Fatal four-way tag team match.

Didn't like: The ending, the Elias and Maverick feud.

WWE Extreme Rules 2019 | My Coherent Review.

Man, I'm impressed with WWE in terms of PPVs as of late because overall, this was a fantastic show in my opinion with great matches but the crowd was dead for most of the show so that sucks.  I finally watched the pre-show match between Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura before I went to bed because the show aired at 2 am where I live and it was okay.  By the way, how interesting is it when on last year’s Extreme Rules show, Shinsuke Nakamura won the United States championship and now this year’s show, he won the intercontinental title. Also, it's funny that the intercontinental championship was the main event on last's year show and on this year's Extreme Rules PPV, it's on the preshow.  Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns and The Undertaker.  Mike Rome did better in announcing "The Best In the world" this time than on RAW. Mike Rome's announcement a few weeks ago sounded like that one friend that thinks he/she knows how to ...

NXT Takeover: In Your House 2020 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover: In Your House is like the rest of the Takeover shows, a fantastic 2 hours of professional wrestling.  What makes this show special is the additional nostalgia like how the show started with the NXT WWF inspired intro, the ice cream commercial narrated by William Regal doing his best Lord Alferd Hayes impression, icopro commercial and last but not least, Todd Pettengill.  This is a show that I'm definitely rewatching in years to come.  Mia Yim, Tegan Nox And Shotzi Blackheart vs Raquel Gonzalez, Candice LeRae And Dakota Kai.  A decent opening match. During the match, Nox did a Molly Holly top rope on to every competitor in the match.  Yim tried to give LeRae some Seoul Food but LeRae reversed that into a suplex. Several minutes later, Shotzi did a Salida Del Sol of some sort on Gonzalez to which Nox delivered the shiniest wizard on Kai and won the match.  Finn Balor vs Damian Priest. I actually thought that the closing mo...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Holy Sh*t, The Revival Are All Elite, Matt Riddle vs Timothy Thatcher In A Unique Steel Cage Match.

Both shows had its weak points but overall, that was an enjoyable 4 hours of professional wrestling television. I personally liked AEW Dynamite this week.  From an awesome women's match with Shida and Christi Jaynes to The Revival showing up, AEW managed to give me a solid episode and successfully furthered their storylines to next week's exciting show.  NXT   Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Kushida vs Drake Maverick vs Jake Atlas. Triple Threat Match Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.  What a way to kick off this episode of NXT, am I right? Atlas delivered the rainbow DDT but Kushida broke Jake's pin.  Speaking of Kushida, he nailed the armbar submission, however, Drake pinned Atlas because Atlas' shoulders were on the mat and will meet El Hijo Del Fantasma for the finals next week.  I don't know if Drake is rehired or he's going to be rehired but Maverick has a big ta...
